  50 + cockroaches in room, ant problem and bullied to pay more at check out

  50 cockroaches running in the room, dead ants all over the floor and towels and misleading hidden costs! I went as a solo parent with my 5 year old have her scream on the second night as we heard a commotion outside our preferred room door and then at least 50 cockroaches ran in our room and were running up our legs - my daughter was screaming saying she wish she never went away. They did move our room. In the next room we had to get them to fumigate as there was an ant problem with hundreds of dead ants that even when cleared would multiply hours later and dead ants all on the floor mat. One of the reasons I upgraded our room was that we had confirmation from the concierge in writing just 2 weeks before our arrival that we could book a cabana at the main pool at no extra cost. Which we booked with the pool concierge the day before each day. They said the rooms had changed and they were now charging I explained my email and he said they won't charge you but you need to sign (another lady had the same problem). Then on checkout was given a £237 bill. I challenged it and showed my email in writing. My daughter was in kids club whilst I was doing this and I wanted enough time to collect her get food and relax. I waited 40 mins for a manager to arrive at this point I had just 10 mins until my taxi. They said they need me to pay or we can't leave the country. Midori said she would help me and to get my daughter and feed her I know only had 5 mins to grab something. Returned to the desk with taxi there and told we aren't allowed to leave and your taxi will go you must pay if you refuse we will charge the pool concierge - but that she would arrange my compensation. I was in tears it was very intimidating. Upon return Hyatt collection on raising a formal complaint said they don't get involved and the hotels responsibility and the hotel responded saying they would not compensate.

  A gem not to be missed or overlooked!

  A rather excellent resort. Staff was professional, knowledgeable and very customer focused. All in all, well worth a visit, as in our case, at least one more subsequent visit. This is a resort that should be at the top of your list for consideration, especially, as for us. a fantastic wedding!

  Best Destination Wedding Ever!

  I decided I wanted to have a destination wedding and we chose Dreams Sapphire is an amazing all inclusive resort. This was my first all inclusive stay and it did not disappoint. The experience was great I would go back and I recommend. We met a ton of return members there. The wedding planner Lulu is amazing. The staff over were professional, polite and interpersonal. The food was phenomenal. The wedding packages are great value and worth every penny. She has an eye for the small details we truly appreciate her she made our day so special. The wedding ceremony was perfect. The rooms are spacious and clean. The 24hr room service is a little slow but awesome. The variety of restaurants are wonderful. We tried the Asian Restaurant, The Italian and Mexican restaurant I enjoyed all of my dishes. I definitely recommend booking the preferred rooms or better for exclusive access to additional amenities. We also had a massage it was phenomenal. Very refreshing.

  Amazing Wedding Experience

  We had an amazing time and wedding at this resort. There was plenty of kid friendly activities for my nephews here as well. Lourdes (LuLu) was our wedding coordinator and did an amazing job from day one. She was always attentive, articulate, and carried a positive mood! LuLu constantly checked in with us to ensure all our needs were met. On the day of the wedding, LuLu was right there with us and Johnathan was our wedding "Captain". He did an amazing job making sure we had everything we needed and if we asked for anything, he was right on it. I would highly recommend this resort if you plan to get married in Cancun and also need a kid friendly location. We got married at the Vista Del Mar which is at the far end of the resort. Highly recommend this location as it is away from all the other action. The other locations were still very nice as well.
