  Beautiful Beach and Great Service

  Beautiful Beach with sandbar. They have Bali beds for $150 in the preferred side. It includes a bottle of alcohol. We went with the tequila. Great hospitality from Noe our server buffet breakfast and Karol the hostess at multiple restaurants. Both Very kind and accommodating.

  Return Visit, Booking Again!

  We had a great second return to Dreams Sands. I’ve stayed at many (10+) hotels across Cancun and area and this is the only hotel I’ve returned twice. Primarily, the beach and the staff. The beach is like no other place in Mexico. I travel with wife and a 4 and 8 year old and they absolutely love it. If beach is something high on your list, this is your choice. The staff here is top notch. Couple shoutouts: Noe and Jorge at breakfast. Both were there last year and we were HOPING they would still be there and lucky for us they were. Noe and Jorge are absolutely amazing. You will not get better service. They are a perfect start to the day. Stop by the crepe station and see Oscar. He will always have a smile on his face and makes great crepes. My son had 2-4 per day! Guadalupe and Alberto pool bar servers. They will not let your drinks go empty and I put them to the test. Guadalupe always brought the kids their favorite drinks. Aurelio and Elmer the bartenders at pool bar make great drinks and always service with a smile. If you don’t know what you want, tell them to surprise you and they won’t let you down. The entire entertainment staff is amazing and do such a great job with activities for everyone all day. Leilani and Angie are the two names I recall but the whole staff is great. I missed the lobby bartenders name but he was also very good and had many good conversations with him. Name was 3 letter long I think but forget name. The resort is not huge so it’s nice for us. Very short walk to everything. I think most every room or all are ocean front. Rooms are same size so if you get balcony, you just lose space in room. We just got window room but it’s a big window with amazing view. Only downside is no place to hang wet clothes. The rest is all pretty much on par or better from other AI’s (food, restaurants, drinks, rooms, gym, etc). The overall resort is very clean. They also do very good with themed nights including dinner and entertainment at night. We were there over Easter and they did 10/10 for Easter. We were amazed at how much they did to make the day special. We are already planning on booking again next year. Some observations : I’m not calling these complaints because they aren’t, just opportunities for improvements. As many said in other posts, the pool and beach chair situation needs some attention. I was up at 630 every morning to get a chair by the pool. By 7:00 or 7:30, they are usually full. I would love to sleep in while on vacation but with kids, we needed a spot with shade so it is an inconvenience. They need to do something about this. Even the shaded chairs on beach are gone early. The main pool does need some TLC. It’s not a big deal and didn’t in any way take away from our vacation but would be good if fixed. My son did get a very small cut on foot from tile and saw one other with small cut. Again, no big deal, we knew it before we booked and were ok with it. The preferred club lounge area needs something more. The small food buffet is less than sub par. The only benefit of preferred club is the beach area and pool. …at least for us. But we still do it and it allows me to get Don Julio :). Go explore Cancun. This place is perfect location you can walk to anywhere including the ferry. We were lucky enough to be there when Coco Bongo had a kids night and it was amazing. Kids absolutely loved it. We also took ferry to Isla Mujures and rented a golf cart for the day and it was a great day. Highly recommend. Tacos for breakfast, open bar at 10am, great service, sun, sand, great food, it doesn’t get any better!!!

  Decepción de hotel

  Compre un paquete por medio de una agencia de viajes , en el cual solicite 2 cuartos . 1 para mi esposa y para mi y el otro para mis hijos . Al llegar al hotel nos salen con que los 2 cuartos tienen 2 camas individuales , la persona que me atendió en el lobby en recepción me dijo que todos los cuartos eran igual y aparte 1 de esos cuartos el clima no funcionaba . Bajo a quejarme tanto de las 2 camas en el departamento principal y del clima que curiosamente era el mismo cuarto . Total que vi plan con maña de parte de ellos para que contratáramos o nos elevarán la categoría de los cuartos a preferr , viene accediendo con tal de no amargarme y amargar las vacaciones de mi familia . Y no salió nada barato porque tuve que pagar 13,000 pesos mas de lo que ya con tiempo se había liquidado . Digo plan con maña porque a otra pareja que iba con nosotros les aplicaron la misma . De la comida no es nada extraordinario , al menos que no conozcas mejores hoteles pensaras que es lo máximo , pero no !! . Otra cosa que nos pareció un fraude fue un evento que tuvimos el martes 29 de Abril en donde según iba a ser lo máximo , cena de lujo etc etc , nada que ver ! Y tan solo estaban dando la misma cena de todos los días , un evento que según terminaría hasta las 11 pm y para las 10 pm ya estaban recogiendo todo , muy mal por parte de este hotel . De todo el staff que trabaja en ese hotel , mis respetos , muy amables y respetuosos . En fin , el hotel en si no cumplió nuestras expectativas para nada y quedo a deber por mucho . A y lo de preferr que no te engañen y te saquen dinero de mas , es pan con lo mismo . Mis cuartos fueron los 840 y 841 !! Del domingo 27 de abril al 01 de mayo 2025

  Exceptional experience!!

  The service is excellent! Very good entertainment! The animators are respectful and fun. The variety of food is exceptional!! The theme restaurants offer varied and high quality services. Super clean everything!! We passed ten!!!

  Preferred Club

  We loved the sea, the attentions to my girl in club kids girls Eisy, Itzel, Karla, Manjó and Arlet. All à la carte restaurants very well meat, sushi, seafood all very well, the pool and Preferred Club section also excellent the attentions, the best the spectacular sea 👌
