Not too shabby, close to shopping and things to do!

This resort was nice, the room was small, and slightly dated. The air conditioning can barely keep up with the heat and humidity unfortunately. The restaurants were good and the service was excellent. Great entertainment in the evenings and shout out to Angeles (“Angie”) and Angelo who keep the entertainment and fun going during our stay. This resort is all inclusive however they do charge for certain top shelf liquors and of course upgrades to your stay, would I come back? I would say that I might but it would be in like December when it’s not so dang hot. The beach was clean, the seaweed was ridiculous but the staff was working hard to clean it up the best they could. Bed was nice and firm so I slept well every night, the crowd is mostly people in their 20-40 range with the occasional family and older 50+ crowd.

    Family trip

I had an awesome time here with my family on our trip here! They had great food, room service and staff. I did a lot of activities with Manuel and Emmanuel. We did volleyball, water aerobics, kayaking and painting (all totally cool and definitely recommend)

Beautiful & Exciting. Sand volleyball was so fun! We couldn’t recommend this place more:)

WE LOVE DREAMS SANDS. I went with a group of friends this summer and it was absolutely an amazing experience. The food is delicious, they also take consideration of people with food allergies which you can’t find in most places. The entertainment team was fantastic and full of energy. We loved Manuel, Daniella, and Ben!

OK - But not a Dream

The Resort is "OK" but unfortunately not a Dream. Maybe it was 20 years ago. But now the rooms are just old. The entrance/lobby has been renovated and looks nice and fresh. Rooms, elevators and everything besides the Lobby however is old and used. Rooms are clean but nothing special. Aircondition is loud. Food selection is good - quality is just OK - so are the drinks. Some parts (pools; beach chairs and areas near elevator and rooms should be cleaner. There is often used glasses and rubbish around. I would recommend to spend 100-150 USD more and stay at Hyatt Zilara or Iberostar. Its well spent money. For a price of 300 USD + I expected more at Dreams Sands. Beach is nice - if no seagrass is around (which can be smelly) Book on the cheapest booking page is recommended. It is a property of World of Hyatt. However, no additional status benefit is given for guests with status. So why book directly if other websites are cheaper?

One of my best vacation ever

It’s crazy to me any time I see a bad review on this place because it was way better than I expected. The food is as good as all inclusive can get I enjoyed every meal and the drinks are really good. If you’re worried about them “under pouring” just ask for a double it’s all inclusive. The room was beautiful and cleaned top to bottom every day. The room service was also very good. The beach was the best I’ve ever seen. Perfectly calm water and white sand. The pools were nice and the pool bar was fun. Preferred or not you had servers on the beach taking food and drink orders. They did plenty of games and shows and activities every day and encouraged everyone to join. Truly the best part of the resort was the staff. All besides one of the beach servers went above and beyond. I have celiac disease and at the buffets the chefs would walk me through and tell me what I could eat. As everyone says Alex was amazing and would set up our chairs every morning and put his own belongings on them to make sure people knew they were reserved. Lorenzo was amazing also. Gustavo reserved us tables at the beach dinners and was so so so sweet. Impeccable service and made sure I had everything I wanted. Sadey and Farid were part of the entertainment staff and they were amazing. Farid told us he was new and I would have never guessed. He came and found us every day and could have talked to us for forever. We now are friends on social media and planning to meet again some day! When we left he said “he would cry” He truly was the nicest most caring all inclusive staff member I’ve ever met. All in all this place is so amazing not only because of the resort but the people. Every little need we had was met. Champagne and banners for our anniversary and even a going away gift. I would 100% go back and 100% recommend.
