  It was good

  Food was so good! Especially seaside grill! Our check in process was rough and had room issues. The water fyi isn’t clear blue, it’s cloudy. Beach is beautiful and sand is beautiful, water not so much. They do a great job of cleaning the beach every morning! Had one bug in our bathroom. Did find a dead roach in one of the pools, but overall a good stay with the large group we had! Find REYNALDO at the swim up or beach bar, he’s amazing!!! We spent a lot of $ on the snorkel excursion, wasn’t worth the money to me. Boat was old and didn’t see anything exciting

  Fantastic week!!!

  We had the absolute BEST week at Dreams Royal Beach! We went as a family of four, kids aged 10 and 12. Our main man was Marcelo and he was hands down the absolute best! We cannot thank him enough for providing everything we needed for a perfect week. The E-team was amazing! Eliza, Orlando, Angel, Mr. Wonderful, Baby Face, Brownie and everyone we met were just so fantastic. Thank you for making our week that much more fun! Our favorite restaurants were Oceana (the filet is the best meal we had), Portofino, and Tres Colors. The fish tacos for lunch and the french toast for breakfast at the Seaside grill were favorites, too. Seaside grill was a favorite for our boys, burgers and hot dogs near the beach. The resort itself was beautiful and small enough to feel comfortable with our kids running off to grab a snack on their own. The waterpark was perfect for kids and the pools were clean. There were so many pools, we never felt cramped. Beach is also beautiful and large. Vendors are there but very respectful if you say no once. We would definitely go back! Tips: pack your own floaties and cups to keep drinks cold. We found a great cup on amazon with a thick, plastic reusable straw so our frozen drinks flowed nicely. Metal and paper are not the best. Have fun!

  Dreams Royal Beach Resort Punta Cana

  Consistently Excellent: Dreams Royal Beach Resort Punta Cana I’ve visited the Dominican Republic at least 15 times, and after trying many resorts, Dreams Royal Beach stands out as one of the best on Playa Bavaro. I’ve vacationed here for the past several years and have never been disappointed. Service: The service is consistently outstanding. Check-in is quick and easy—special thanks to Paola at Reception for her excellent communication and perfect English. All staff members go above and beyond, even on the beach, where resort officers are always present. Location & Rooms: The resort is beautifully landscaped, with endless pools and charming secluded spots. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and have high-quality beds and linens. Recent updates to the property are noticeable and appreciated. You can walk under shelter to all main areas, which is great if it rains. Dining: The main buffet offers a wide variety of fresh, tasty food, and the new coffee/tea station is a nice touch. The buffet is a bit small, but its beachfront location makes up for it. I especially enjoyed the Oceana restaurant for its French and ocean-inspired cuisine. Pools & Beach: There are plenty of pools and sunbeds, with lots of shaded areas. The beach is pristine, never crowded, and protected from seaweed. The sand is soft and white, with no rocks in the water—perfect for swimming. Drinks and snacks are delivered regularly to the beach. Final Thoughts: I highly recommend Dreams Royal Beach Resort for anyone seeking a top-notch, all-inclusive family vacation spot in Punta Cana. The food, service, and setting are all exceptional.

  Tropical Let Down

  I will start with the good. 1. The lady who ran the Coco Cafe was amazing. She was so sweet and attentive to our young kids during our stay. She even learned their orders after the 1st day. The still mention her. 2. The best meal we had at this resort was our dinner at the Seaside Grill. We were sorry we only got the chonce to go once while we were there, as we went our 2nd to last night there, and the next day the venue was closed. The crab cakes were delicious, my kids even enjoyed them. 3. We were preferred, our butler was Jose C, and he was attentive at helping us with things when we needed him to. He also organized special drinks in pineapples for us one day at the pool, and brought our kids a fun chocolate dessert our last full day at the resort. He also was good at running interference when we had issues at the resort. I fear that had we have had to deal with these issues without him, it would have really put a huge damper on our family holiday. 4. The beach area was nice. There is a preferred seating area in the beach in front of the Seaside grill. We never had issues finding loungers, however our butler told us to let him know if we did, and he would assist. Butler's aren't allowed to reserve loungers but they are able to reserve the cabanas and such that have an extra fee. The 1st day we visited the beach there was very little seaweed. The 2nd day, there was forecasted rain, and there was quite a bit of sargassum as a result. It was everywhere and super messy on us once it dried, but the beach was still very nice. 5. The Waterpark was very nice. The waterpark was one of the reasons we selected this resort. We wanted a resort with larger water slides our kids could enjoy. This park was a good size, there were 7 larger slides and a smaller kiddie water park area. Our kids even convinced my husband and I to try the slides. It was a ton of fun. 5. We stayed on the new preferred side in a master suite garden view room, that also had s side view of the pool area. We enjoyed spending time in the preferred pool right outside our building daily. It allowed us to spend nice quiet quality time together in the pool as a family. It also allowed us to easily float to the pool bar as well. The Ugly... 1. Our Room When we arrived our room was dirty. There was leftover hair and dirt all over the room from the previous occupants. The room was never cleaned properly before our stay. The toilet room and bathroom counters hadn't been cleaned. There was stuff running down the side of the toilet. It took them a long time to come back to reclean the room, after we let our butlet know of the issues, and it was not completed properly, by the first person, so we had to have our butler escalate the issue up the chain. Once this happened a team of 4 or 5 housekeepers showed up to our room to clean. Luckily we were in the room, and had to show them what needed to be cleaned, even though that definitely should not have been necessary. Once they were done it was better but not perfect. We ended up putting towels down on the bathroom counters to place our things on, because it was just yucky. This was really just gross and unacceptable after paying so much for vacation and having our young kids with us. It was also not a good way to start our vacation. I think the resort management should have done more about this issue. They should have offered to relocate us to a different room due to this mishap. Management should have came by our room to see the outstanding issues and properly address them. Instead upon check out, as we were rushing out to the airport the concierge manager wanted to ask about the quality of our stay after we had been there for 7 whole days, and had the audacity to ask if we would be returning. 2. The Food The food at this resort was really lacking. The choices were slim and just not good. It would be awesome if the menus at the restaurants changed during the course of the week. It would also be great if the preferred status would allow one to order room service items from the various restaurants as well. Due to the language barrier many times room service orders were delivered incorrectly unfortunately. 3. Staff Friendliness There were some staff who were very friendly but there were many more who appeared to have an attitude or who were more helpful to certain type of guests at the resort, and I will end this feedback right here. Overall we enjoyed the nice quality family time we spent with our kiddos, and made the best of things, however my husband and I will not be back to this resort, and would not recommend it.

  Amazing all-inclusive resort

  We came to Dreams Royal Beach to attend a family wedding and stayed in a Preferred Club Junior Suite Pool Terrace room located in the new Preferred Club section of the resort. Our room was perfect - very clean and steps away from the lazy river. This section of the resort was very quiet and it felt most of the time like we had our own giant private pool which was amazing. The swim up bar had great, fast service and could make you any drink you could think of. The food here was pretty good, although we liked the buffets and Portofino the best and found some of the offerings and portion sizes at the other specialty restaurants a bit disappointing. For an all-inclusive resort, though, it was some of the best food we've had. The staff throughout the resort were great - went out of their way to help us and make us feel super welcome. Some of our favourites were Nelson Mandela in the On a Roll restaurant and 'Crazy Driver' the golf cart driver. Everyone we encountered was very friendly and it was definitely the best service we've had at an all-inclusive resort. The wedding we attended was lovely and the staff waiting the tables at the reception were very friendly and attentive. The whole team did a great job putting together a beautiful event. Our concierge José was also incredibly helpful when we had a medical emergency - his assistance made a very stressful situation a bit less stressful, which we really needed. He arranged a taxi for my parents to come to us at the hospital and spoke to their taxi driver for them on the phone and even offered to continue helping them even when he had gone home for the day. We needed to get a prescription filled after hospitalisation and José arranged for the medicine to be delivered from a pharmacy. José also made sure other members of staff were aware of our situation and able to help us. Overall, I would really recommend Dreams Royal Beach for a relaxed island vacation with impeccable service and I hope we're able to come back again soon.
