Winter break family travel - first timers
We just came back from a week at Dreams Natura and it was my first time at an all inclusive. Here are the pros and cons from my experience of this facility. Pros- - Hands down the entertainment team that ran the kids club and the games by the pool. They were the hardest working and friendliest crew you could meet. They even had a mini Master Chef style challenge for kids that was so realistic! You could tell they put a lot of care into their work. The new years celebration they put on while we were there was fantastic and super family friendly. - the food tastiness varied but I was very impressed with their French, Italian, and Hibachi restaurants. The all day buffet option also had some tasty items. The taco lady at breakfast is incredible. I normally don’t eat breakfast but did every day because of her. The other options were just fine. - the coffee at the 24 hour coffee and ice cream shop was surprisingly delightful. I like strong coffee/espresso and they did it! - the included arcade. The kids had so much fun and it’s so nice that it was not an additional add on to play games - the lazy river and water slide kept my kids entertained and were clean and well kept. - I really enjoyed the size of the resort as it was small enough to feel safe for my 7 and 10 year old to run around on their own but big enough that we had a different dinner option for our entire stay. Cons - the entire floor of our hotel room smelled very musty and our room smelled of mildew. I think our family had allergies in the room because of it. - the condition of the room was slightly poor with peeling walls and ceilings - poor room door insulation leading to the ability to hear every person coming down the hall. - the dinner reservation system is a bit nutty with reservations opening at midnight for the next day, etc. you also have to download their app and can’t book in advance. For a party of 7 we were having a hard time securing the restaurants we want. My dad did end up talking to a manager who was very nice and arranged all the bookings for us. Otherwise the stress each day was not fun. - the pricing for the spa seemed a bit scammy. I booked before I went because I’m used to traveling to places where spas book up weeks in advance but when we arrived there were constantly employees trying to sell you spa services at a discount. Had I known I would have waited until I arrived as there was little to no one in the spa when I was there (it’s an add on service). Tips for families about to go: - there are signs around the pool saying you are not allowed to pre-reserve lounge chairs. This is not adhered to and everyone wakes up early to hold chairs. Make sure to do the same if you want somewhere to sit. - bring dollar bills. This might be my lack of experience but it felt like everyone wanted a tip every time they delivered a drink, cleaned a table, etc. and I didn’t plan enough $1s. It was a semi awkward feeling for me. - a lot of their ice cream and drinks seemed to use some kind of non- sugar sweetener. Our family doesn’t typically use this so things tasted a bit off. - don’t bother booking anything before you go because they will most likely tell you to just do it after check in. Overall it was nice for family travel with 3 generations. My biggest wish is that they update and better maintain the quality of the rooms.

Not inclusive
Dreams Natura Resort and Spa was not what I expected for a 5 plus star resort. We could not make a reservation on the app. This resort has a preferred club membership that provides these guests with a private concierge to make restaurant reservations so we could not make a reservation with the Hyatt app. Every employee denied this but we overheard employees who were like butlers making reservations for families in an instance. We had to walk to every restaurant and beg and plea for a reservation at a restaurant. And lastly, we thought that we would have the best New Year’s celebration at this expensive resort, but we would have to pay another 400 or more US dollars to attend the New Year’s celebration….very disappointing…..not inclusive…..

Lifetime Experience On A Paraglider
Today, 01/06/2026 @ 11 am I had a once in a Lifetime experience. At the Dreams Natura I decided to ride the Paraglider. I was uncertain about what I got myself into but the staff of Carol and Edwardo made me feel safe as they strapped me in harness and made sure it was a cheerful experience. Thank you for helping make a wonderful experience I will share.
