Oliver is the bes! We loved the bike ride and his personnalité! The food was amazing at all restaurants ! Azucena was amazing at the lobby and at the coffee bar!! The only négative thing is the washrooms in the basement for the clients during the day!!

Just got back from a week at this resort with my family. I will start out with the positive. Rooms were very nice and clean, property well maintained. Family oriented However, the staff was either very friendly or not at all. Beach fills up fast, so you need to get up early to get a decent spot. Water was full of trash and sargassum, I understand it may be the time of year for sargassum, so there is only so much they can do. They did clean it in the morning, but there was a bunch of trash in the ocean along with it. No shells at all in this location. Drinks provided on the beach were provided fast and friendly, can't say the same by the pool. It was faster to go get your own drinks, or the infinity pool with swim up bar but this is adults only. Negative: FOOD; cold, bland and super slow service. Steak restaurant took forever with the food and when we finally got it, it was cold and bland. (Seaside grill) Oceana is supposed to specialize in seafood, but again disappointed with the temperate and blandness. Slow service here also, staff friendlier, but it wasn't worth the 1 and a half wait. Calamari made us sick. Buffet was similar to golden corral, but cold food for breakfast and dinner unless you waited for an omelet. One of the women making quesadillas was rude and had an attitude. I will say the desserts were good. Mexican restaurant had very good tacos Al Pastor, but they run out fast. Probably because it's the only flavorful dish. Slow service also, but super friendly staff. Room service was a hit or miss with the quality of the food. Several times we got charred chicken tenders. Burned to a crisp. Teppanyaki was very good but with reservation only. Coco Cafe was good, as well as the Barefoot Grill, we were living off of fries, burgers and hotdogs most days. This got old after a couple days. They did throw in a couple extra items like hot wings which were good. If you are considering going on vacation, I'd say, try a different resort as this one needs some improvements. There are swarms of bats in the evening next to where children are watching movies. Arcade was closed when we tried checking. Feral cats on the property which were lounging on the cabanas, not good for people that are allergic. House cleaning has very odd hours, sometimes they'd come early while you were out but on other occasions, they'd show up around 9pm. They did do a job though. Would not recommend unless you don't plan on eating.
