Jan 28, 2026Our 3rd Fabulous Visit - Strongly Recommend!
This was our third visit to Dreams Playa Mujeres and it won't be the last. We are Unlimited Vacation Club members, and this property is our absolute favorite for family travel. Each time we have come, we have brought over 20 family members/friends with us and they have all been treated like VIPs. The property is the perfect size and has all the amenities you need for a wonderful trip. This time, we had 5 families with children ages 10-17. The teens were living their best life, and the younger pre-teens felt comfortable navigating the resort on their own as well. Most importantly, as parents we felt safe allowing them to move around without constantly being with us so we were able to enjoy time with them and with just adults. The Dolphin experience was well worth it. Alicia in UVC member services was fabulous, she reached out to me before we even arrived to assist our group and stayed in contact throughout our stay. Raul was the absolute best pool server and went above and beyond every single day making sure our drinks were top of the line, even if that meant going behind the bar and making them himself. Alberto in guest services at the pool was so attentive and assisted us with reserving cabanas for each day of our stay so that our 20+ person group always had a home base. I recommend the spa and had a great massage with Minerva. We really enjoyed all of the restaurants, activities, and shows. I do see some aging in the property since we were last there in 2018, but that is to be expected and in no way did it effect our stay though I'm sure they are planning to update areas needing some TLC such as the balcony's and swim up bar counter. Overall, we are very picky and discerning travelers who left with nothing but fabulous things to say about our visit to Dreams Playa Mujeres. We will be back for a 4th visit in the near future for sure!!

Beautiful resort! Great room, comfortable bed. Loved the spa!! I had a fantastic massage by Magdalena! Perfect from start to finish. I highly recommend the spa - and ask for her!

Dreams Playa Mujeres
Great service at every level and something for everyone to do regardless of age. Beach was fantastic. Luis the bartender was the man. He got my little boy speaking Spanish. Restaraunt experience was great everywhere

GREAT PLACE FOR WEDDINGS AND FAMILIES
We traveled to Dreams Playa Mujeres Resort as part of a group for a friend’s wedding in November/December 2025. We have been to many all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean, but this was our first time in Mexico. ROOM: We stayed in a pool-view room with King-size bed in building number 8. It was spacious, comfortable and clean and in close vicinity to most of the restaurants. The balcony was large, complete with jacuzzi tub, day bed and table/chairs. We overlooked the main patio/pool area with a partial view of the sea from a distance. FOOD: There were many dining options to choose from and we liked the fact that we did not have to make a dinner reservation at the restaurants, with the Hibachi Restaurant being the exception. The buffet restaurant always offered a wide variety of tasty food. Overall, the food/drink quality and choices were good to excellent at all of the restaurants/bars we went to. BEACH/POOLS: The beach and pools were beautiful. Beach was long with clean, white sand and great place to go for a walk. WEDDINGS: This is a lively resort and we noticed at least a couple of weddings every day. The wedding we attended was spectacular. The ceremony took place on the beach close to sunset, with appetizers/drinks afterwards at the Beach bar, along with a Mariachi band playing. The pool deck was beautifully transformed into a reception area for the wedding dinner, with dancing until 10 pm. CUSTOMER SERVICE: All staff were friendly and inviting during our stay. We had a very enjoyable week at Dreams Playa Mujeres and would recommend this resort if you are looking for a wedding venue or place to spend with family (including children) and friends. However, if you are seeking a quiet get-away, perhaps the Secrets adults-only side would be a better choice.

The best family friendly all inclusive
This is our favorite family friendly resort! The water park is great- there is a small shallow area for babies/toddlers with small slides and 2 large very fast slides for older kids. There are 3 large pools and each of them have a swim up bar and a shallow area for smaller children. We loved hanging out by the mermaid bar. Gabriella provided the best poolside drink and food service! There’s a beautiful ocean view from that pool. The beach is beautiful- white sand and clear blue/ turquoise water. The hibachi was delicious! But, it is very difficult to get a reservation. There are only 2 hibachi tables and you have to log onto the app at exactly 1pm to get a reservation. The regular sit down food at the Asian restaurant (Fusion) is delicious as well. Geraldo was an excellent server at Fusion.We also loved Gacho the Brazilian steak house. Service and food was great there. I love that there are no reservations (other than hibachi) and dinners are first come first serve. The rooms a nice, spacious, & clean. They do have a musty smell to them though. I would recommend bringing damp rid. That’s a wrap was great for lunch. It was nice to be able to pop in and grab a bottle of water, soda, pre made wraps and salads, and fruit cups without having to wait to order something or sit down somewhere. Jeanie was great at making the hot sandwiches! You can also order poolside food- hamburgers, hot dogs, nachos, & quesadillas which our kids loved. The taco station outside of Tres Colors for dinner is amazing! Fernando at the fresh juice bar was excellent! He always had a smile on his face and made the best fresh fruit smoothies! The spa is very small- it would be nice to have a hydrotherapy section or a relaxation room. There is just a sauna and steam room and locker room. My massage by Mario was excellent though. Explorers club is open 10am-9pm and you can drop off and pick up anytime during those hours. Our kids didn’t want to go but the activities looked really fun. They have a family hour from 9am-10am if you want to go in there with the kids. We love this resort and plan to be back in June and again next January! :)
