  Stay Far Away

  I wish I had read the reviews prior because I probably wouldn't have attended this milestone birthday trip for a dear friend. The hotel is extremely outdated, mold was in my room on the ceiling and walls. A horrific odor from the vents and the food was tasteless. To be fair the breakfast was very good, but other meal options you're in trouble.

  Not the Dream we wanted

  I read a lot of reviews before booking and saw plenty of negative ones, but I still wanted to give this resort a fair chance. Unfortunately, almost everything we read ended up being true. When we first pulled up, I had high hopes. The resort looked clean from the outside, and the lobby was nice and welcoming. We were also told we had a $200 resort credit, which sounded great — but we tried for three straight days to use it at the spa and they never had any availability from the time we arrived until the time we left. What’s the point of offering resort credit if you can’t actually use it? Food The food was very disappointing overall. Breakfast was the best meal each day, but outside of that, options were limited. The seafood restaurant was okay, but there aren’t many places to eat, and the buffet was very limited with not much variety. Room The room was a decent size, but it showed clear signs of wear and tear. It also had a damp smell. There was a large gap in the patio/balcony door which caused heavy condensation on the windows. Because of that, we could barely see out — even though we paid for an ocean view. We also didn’t have hot water for two days. We reported it each day and were told someone would be sent up, but nothing changed. To make matters worse, one of our friends traveling with us had black mold growing on his ceiling and walls, and it actually made him sick. Preferred Lounge The Preferred Lounge was not worth it at all. Very little entertainment and not much added value. Overall This was not what I look for in a vacation or resort experience. If you’re on the fence and wondering whether the negative reviews are true — they are. This resort seriously needs to focus on the small details and overall service.

  Family stay at Playa dream bonita

  The hotel building and the staff were fine. The location was good to give easy access to routes to points of interest. The food for the most part was very poor. There are some good options through room service but the resteraunts and buffets lacked quality. Meet was either tough or dry. I would say if you stay there just keep expectations at a medium level.

  Great customer service/staff

  Excellent customer service and staff. Food was very good, bed was comfortable, preferred club pool was nice and quiet, other pools were also very nice. Two areas for improvement: better wine selection (only two red and two white wine choices, regardless of which restaurant you visit), and overall, the resort is in need of some updates (dings in walls/doors, broken tiles, some gym equipment did not work). If those things don't bother you, then this is an excellent, value- for-money choice.

  Worst place ever

  The absolute worst customer service resort I have ever been to. I understand patience but when you go up to the pool bar with 2 bartenders and they want to do is talk to each other or just plain ignore you. I top and generously. Maid cleaned room at 10 am took towels asked at 12:30 for towels still now towels by 5 pm. Went to lobby at 6:30 and complained again after 2 additional phone calls . Received at 8pm . I can go on and on. But fi
