Amazing! Book this hotel!!
This hotel is amazing, the staff are so helpful and friendly. The food is the best we have ever had at an all inclusive, truly delicious with so much choice. The hotel is immaculate, pools are great, the beach is fantastic. The water park and lazy river also breaks the options up. The only downside was we had to come home!! We had the best time here and cannot fault it would 100% recommend!!!

Wonderful preferred member family trip!
Amazing trip! I would suggest going to this resort and stay as a preferred member as the amenities are top notch. Zorro was so awesome to work with! Lots of little kids here, so having the preferred amenities of adult only pool was nice.

Jan 04, 2026One of my worst All Inclusive Stays!
I stayed at Dreams Onyx Resort & Spa in December 2025, and overall the experience was extremely disappointing, especially considering the price. The service and staff attitude were the biggest issues. Many staff members were outright rude, unhelpful, and acted like helping guests was an inconvenience. On multiple occasions, staff either made dishes incorrectly or claimed items were “out of stock,” only for us to later find out they actually had them and just didn’t want to help. The lack of effort and poor attitude made the stay frustrating instead of relaxing. The food was terrible for a resort that claims to be upscale. It was bland, repetitive, and often served cold. There were very limited options, long waits, and the overall quality was extremely low. Some restaurants were completely empty and felt dead, which honestly made sense because the food wasn’t worth eating there. During heavy rain, large areas of the resort were flooded, including restaurant entrances and walkways, and it felt unsafe to walk anywhere on the property. There were large puddles, slippery floors, and little to no effort from staff to block off areas or help guests navigate safely. This was especially concerning for elderly guests, including my mother who was staying with me. Our room was somewhat clean, but still not as clean as expected for a luxury resort. On top of that, it was very noisy at night due to parties happening, making it difficult to sleep. The pools were another letdown. Many were overcrowded and extremely cold, making them uncomfortable and hard to enjoy. Meanwhile, other areas of the resort felt oddly empty and lifeless, which made the whole place feel poorly managed. What made things worse was how management handled complaints. We complained multiple times and were told they would “change our thoughts” about the resort and remove some charges. None of that happened. At checkout, we were actually charged more money than originally paid, and I never received my Hyatt points for the extra $600 I was charged. For $1,000+ per night, this resort is absolutely not worth it. It does not deliver luxury service, food, or overall experience. I left feeling overcharged, ignored, and disappointed. I would not return and would not recommend this resort to anyone expecting quality or value.

Best bartender in Punta Cana
Visit Felix and his team at The Mix, the pool bar.in the water park. He'll make anything you know really well. Or, ask for something unique and he will make you smile. Also great with the kids and family.
