The service at this resort made the trip worth 5 stars. The property is lovely, clean, and overall very enjoyable. The preferred club was nice, and the adult only preferred pool was really awesome. Angel made sure to find lounge chairs for us each day, and the staff were wonderful about bringing drinks. The food ranged from fine to quite good, but nothing is spectacular. That being said, there is a nice variety and we were able to find some favorites. We enjoyed the selection at the buffet, and the staff at the buffet are wonderful. We enjoyed Capers Italian food and the ribs from room service. We travelled with elderly parents, and the staff really looked out for them. They were given rides in golf carts whenever they wished, including when going next door to Breathless for dinner. Only two minor downsides. One was the constant music playing. Most of the time, it was nice to have music, but if you want to have a quiet conversation, there is no place without background music. The other was there being no tub except out on the back deck, and it did not have hot water. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised, as we had not stayed at a Dreams resort, and expected it to be more of a "step down" from the Secrets resorts we've stayed at.

Amazing Resort
The best resort we have ever been to. Absolutely incredible staff, cleanliness and great food. A huge shout out to "young" Carlos in the dining room for the buffet. He was kind, funny and made our experience beyond amazing. Mirian was the absolute best at the bar by the buffet. She was attentive, kind and made the absolute best drinks. I looked forward to seeing her every evening. Can't wait to go back.

The beach, the resort and the people are all superb
This is an absolutely beautiful resort with excellent facilities and a most wonderful beach. The staff were absolutely wonderful. We ate and drank excellent food and drink. I highly recommend it!

Woooooaaaahhhhhh Nelis!
2nd trip back to Dreams and it exceeded our expectations again! The staff is absolutely amazing. They are the most kind, attentive, and friendly! This year everyone seemed even nicer which I didn't think was possible. We spent most of our time around the preferred pool. I credit the preferred staff for making our vacation a 10/10. We truly feel like family. Nelis is #1!!!!!! She is the main reason we can back to Dreams Onyx because of her incredible services (and the best "Nellie Special" drinks)! We are already planning our return.

A truly fantastic experience!
In a word, EXCELLENT!! We were there from January 20th to 27th 2026. We had a wonderful stay at Dreams Onyx. From the moment we arrived the staff were welcoming, attentive, and genuinely cared. We upgraded our room and package to premium, we are so glad we did. Our room was spacious very comfortable, and spotless, and the cleaning staff kept it that way the whole week. The mini fridge/coffee area was filled every day to our specification!! The amenities were top notch. The grounds were beautiful, the staff worked very hard to keep it clean. The food at all the restaurants were good, and delicious. A truly fantastic experience from start to finish. We had Nelson as a butler, in our experience he is the very best. Nelson messaged us every day to see if we needed anything, what restaurant we wanted to eat at, and made sure there was a spot for us. We were celebrating our anniversary, he had champagne in our room every day, also arranged for our room to be decorated as well as an anniversary banner on our door. We loved the pools, pool bars were fun. The beach area was stunning, they work hard to keep it clean and free of seaweed. We will definitely be back with our family, and will be telling our friends. Thank you to all the staff, and especially Nelson for making our stay so memorable.
