It was a terrific vacation. We stayed in the Preferred section and would do it this way again. Angel was our butler and took care of all of our needs, whether at the pool, beach or restaurants. His service was outstanding. All of the staff were friendly and helpful.

True family friendly
A Fantastic experience! We were not disappointed staying here in the least. A true family friendly resort. Having stayed at many other resorts over the years, this one was the best by far for families. No spring breakers or being woken up several times a night by others. The entire staff was more than accommodating and friendly as are the Dominican people in general. The food was terrific. There's an option for everyone. Room was clean and comfortable and cleaned daily. Always new towels, stocked fridge, etc. A shout out to our concierge, Breilin who was more than helpful, He reached out to us daily asking if we needed anything or if we wanted to make dinner reservations. It was really nice having someone you could reach out to for any questions we had. We can't wait to return!

**Amazing 7-Night Stay – Exceptional Staff Made It Unforgettable!**
From start to finish, the staff truly made our 7-day stay incredible. The resort itself is beautiful, but it’s the people who make it what it is. We stayed in a swim-up room in the Preferred section and absolutely loved the location—close to the beach and facing the main pool. It was the perfect combination of convenience and atmosphere. A special thank you to our personal concierge, Nelson, who was simply amazing. He checked in with us every day, handled all of our dinner reservations seamlessly, and went above and beyond to make my daughter’s birthday extra special. He decorated our room beautifully and arranged for cake both in the room and at dinner. His pleasant, upbeat attitude made such a difference in our experience—we truly couldn’t have asked for more. The adults-only pool was gorgeous and became one of our favorite spots. The bartenders there—Carlos, Alejandro, and Peter—were fun, friendly, and incredibly attentive. They added so much energy and personality to our afternoons. The pools, beach, and food options were all fantastic. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we are already looking forward to returning! Highly recommend!

Wonderful Multi Family Holiday
We were a group of 9 (4 kids aged 7-14 & 5 adults) and we had a wonderful time at Dreams Onyx. We were preferred club and had room 6366. Let me start off by saying check in when preferred is nice, there are some light bites in there for you while you check in. The resort is extremely clean, the floors literally sparkle. Our room was a bit of a let down as we are facing construction of an old resort that seems to be in the process of being decommissioned, but since we didn't spend a lot of time in our room so it wasn't that bad. Honestly if we were to come back I would request building 5 as it is more central everything. The main pool layout is "interesting" it took a couple days to navigate. yes the pools are chilly, but once you're in and the sun is out, it is refreshing. We spent most of our time at the beach, the kids had so much fun playing in the sand and ocean jumping waves. We were lucky to have a cabana for a few days which was nice and comfortable. We were hoping to do some parasailing, but it was quite windy almost half our trip and rainy a few other days so our daughters ended up getting towed behind the boat. on one of their floating water inflatables. The service at the resort is wonderful. Our butler was Henry and he was extremely attentive and sorted out any issues we had and booked our restaurants, he even met us each night for our dinner reservation to ensure our reservation time went smoothly. He helped us secure our chairs on the beach as well as cabana on the beach and sent us the daily activities every morning. We came to the resort with colds, Henry was able to arrange a cot for us so we could all have our own beds which was great. Anyi was our server on the beach all 7 days and she was always coming around with her friendly smile and bringing us all the cold drinks and also gave recommendations for drinks. There is one server in the restaurants that we would like to give a shoutout to and that is Jose. He is so wonderful and so great with the kids. he was our server at the Italian restaurant as well as the preferred breakfast buffet. he has a secret handshake he does with the kids. When I asked my 7 yr old nephew what his favourite part of the trip was, he said that Jose was his favourite part. The Beach was nice and sandy, a tractor made the rounds several times a day scooping up any seaweed and debree but honestly there was barely any seaweed. We had dinner at the following restaurants; Spice - Teppanyaki, Capers - Italian, Mercure - French, Bluewater Grill - steakhouse, Cin Cin - Mediterranean, Faire - American food. I think we would all agree our favourite restaurants were the Italian and the Mediterranean. Service was very slow at the Steakhouse (some of us loved our meals and other did not enjoy their meal) and extremely slow at Faire (our least favorite). The kids enjoyed the water park and the lazy river, we did spend a bit of time at the Preferred Adult only pool. The Family Preferred pool is very quiet and smaller if you have small children that would be perfect. It is a bit confusing when you first arrive. Be sure to download the Hyatt Inclusive App, it is very helpful. The washrooms all around the resort were all very clean, which is wonderful. The evening shows were fantastic, especially the magic show and fire show. Having the Coco Cafe by where the shows take place was a nice treat at the end of the day. We do hope to return to Dreams Onyx.
