Not exactlly as advertized but a good family resort for children
My wife and I have travelled to many resorts in Mexico. We are just your average Canadian travellers who come to escape the winter. We tend to travel to 4 and 5 star resorts. This year we brought our 10 year old granddaughter Feb 7-17. We stayed in building 1 facing the ocean which is nice except its right above all the activities. We had minor issues with a broken drawer, a windy patio door and the noise from night activities. This resort is advertized as a Couples and Family resort and is part of Hyatt’s Ultimate Vacation group. A triple AAA and 4 Diamond location, which is true IF you are a Hyatt UV member. Other than that it is just a normal family resort. In my opinion a typical resort you would find in this area. Pro’s: Staff are friendly, helpful and plentyful Heated pools, all the pools are heated and there are 2 hot tubs Food is varied with something for everyone. The buffet even has wing back chairs in the seating area (very nice) Pool area - there is no shortage of chairs, towels or umbrellas. They also have a 30 min policy (which I saw them enforce) in which they will move your stuff off a chair after 30 minutes of inactivity. No saving spots here. Service from the staff in the pool area is fantastic. The Kids club has its own pool, lazy river, 3 water slides and a zip line with tonnes of activities. Con’s This is a family resort, kids are in every pool and restaurant, be aware that there are no adult only places anywhere on the resort. Children are allowed in hot tubs and all pools, bars and restaurants (no age restrictions) Preferred Club - the resort prides its self on having no wrist bans and that is true. It also makes it impossible to tell if you are a Preferred member without your room number so you find everyone in the Preferred areas. Noise - this is a loud resort. The way the resort is layed out there is no area or room that does not hear the music until 11pm. Last night for example there was a rooftop wedding reception in the pool area, a live band in the lobby and a band in the market area under the rooms. I can’t stress enough how loud this resort is until 11 pm. No early nights here for the kids. The resort advertizes that no reservations are needed BUT you can make reservations on the same day. It’s first come first serve so showing up without a reservation means waiting or not getting in at all. Make a reservation! SMOKERS beaware that there is no smoking on the proprty !

Great vacation
Just back from a family vacation at Dreams Natura, we loved this place! Lots for kids to do, great food and drinks. Staff were excellent, everyone so friendly and happy to help. Entertainment group always had something on the go, Miguel, Kevin and the girls always getting people involved with different things each day. We all really enjoyed our time!

Good weather extension, but a very different experience
We added two nights at Dreams Natura after our stay at another resort when the sun finally came out and we wanted more pool time with our toddler. It worked for that purpose, but it felt like a completely different tier and style of vacation. The biggest difference we noticed was consistency. Nothing was terrible, but very little stood out in a positive way either. The room looked okay at first but felt worn once you were actually in it. Some furniture had stains and there were little cleanliness things you start to notice when you’re trying to relax. One afternoon we came back from the beach around 4 pm and housekeeping still hadn’t come. We also had to call just to get the room serviced after having the do not disturb sign up the first 24 hours and then requesting a refresh. It just didn’t feel very attentive. Service overall was hit or miss. Some staff were kind, but others seemed overwhelmed. One interaction at the transportation desk was uncomfortable when my husband asked a question and was essentially waved off, and we were told they couldn’t guarantee a car seat for our ride which was stressful traveling with a child. Breakfast was the most disappointing part for us. It was only the buffet and the food was very underwhelming and repetitive after just a couple mornings. We found ourselves just eating to eat rather than enjoying it. Food in general wasn’t bad, just forgettable. We didn’t have a bad meal but we also didn’t have one we talked about later. Crowd and atmosphere: The resort was much louder and more rowdy. Not necessarily unsafe, just more of a party vibe and less family oriented than we expected. With a small child it made it harder to fully relax. The positive: The pool temperature was actually great. The water felt warm and our daughter swam from about 10 am to 5 pm which was the entire reason we extended our trip, and for that it worked well. When the sun is out, the pools are the highlight here. Overall this wasn’t a bad stay, just a different type of resort than we prefer. It would probably be a good fit for groups or adults who plan to spend most of their day in the pool and don’t care as much about food or service details. For families looking for a calmer, more service focused experience, it may not be the best match.

Not the Experience We Expected for the Pric
The resort itself is nice and in a great location. The grounds are attractive, we felt safe throughout our stay, and the resort is easy to get around. Overall cleanliness was okay, but the rooms are in need of a deep clean and some repairs. They felt worn and a bit grungy for the price point. The food was disappointing overall and didn’t meet expectations. Drinks were just meh—for the cost of the package, it would be nice to have a real piña colada made fresh rather than a pre-made mix poured from a jug that was far too sweet and had a very artificial chemical taste. Unfortunately, my husband ended up with food poisoning, which really put a damper on our stay. A couple of days later, our friend also became sick with food poisoning, which raised further concerns about food safety. There are, however, some truly wonderful staff members. Daniel and Fernando were great and stood out for their friendliness and service. The pool fills up very quickly, but it’s not too hard to find a chair to relax on. We traveled in a group of 14 and a few of us had upgraded to the Preferred Club which I wouldn’t recommend as there were very few noticeable differences and no added value. Overall, the resort has potential, but the food, drink quality, room condition, and overall value didn’t justify the price for us.
