    Wonderful Hotel

    First time I have ever left a review, but this hotel deserves it. True 5* star luxury, all staff 10*! So very helpful, all of them, and every little request was immediately seen to. Nothing was too much trouble, and all done with a smile on their faces. The place is still very chilled and relaxed, food the best choice and quality I have ever had. Special shout out to Geici from Bar Barracuda, worked so hard all day carting heavily laden drinks trays up and down the beach. But always had time for personal contact and was just a delight all round. A credit to the hotel! I am sad to go!

    Excellent property and experience!

    My daughter and I spent a week at Dreams Macao Beach. We had a great time and were well taken care of. The property is beautiful! The food was amazing and there were so many options! There is a nice gym and plenty of fun activities throughout the day. The entertainment staff were great, especially Victor, Summer, Cappuccino, Kenny, Cookie, Baby Face and Johnny Bravo! We can’t wait to come back and see you all again!

    A++ experience

    Dreams Macao by Hyatt was a great resort and truly exceeded expectations. The food was excellent with plenty of variety and great quality at every meal. The pools were beautiful, clean, and perfect for relaxing or spending the day in the sun. The beach was stunning with soft sand, clear water, and plenty of space to unwind. The resort was well maintained, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff was attentive and friendly throughout our stay. It was a wonderful experience and a place we would absolutely visit again.”

    Very Fun Week, if not exactly 5 Star

    Traveled in Jan 2026 with a 3 year old and my husband and had a lovely time. We were located in hotel block 4 which I think was the best one: centrally located, easy access to the Sugar Reef bar, and on the far side from where they're building Secrets, so no construction noise. Plus a nice central elevator. Also the rooms had two Queen beds (rather than Doubles at most other hotels) and that made a big difference to us. The hotel room was well set up for kids and included a full bath which we needed for the kiddo. I can't comment on Adventure Club because my daughter refused to go in - but the times we met the staff there they were super kind and fun. The lazy river/water park was a blast with a nearby bar, lots of inner tubes (for free) and a delicious Taco Truck for casual lunches by the pool. I found the main pool was often booked with people playing the Towel Game too early for us to get a seat, so we spent most of the time at the little pool beside the Barefoot Grill and got some excellent service by Samuel B, Jose Luis, and Luis. The toddler pool was a miss for us because of the big water dump bucket. It scared the bejeezus out of my daughter the first time it dumped, and she refused to go back in the rest of the trip. Too bad - it looks perfect for toddlers, pre-school and early school age kids and we saw plenty of kids enjoying it. The beach was lovely and maintained with a gorgeous view and plenty of chairs under umbrellas. As many have said the surf was very rough with lots of seaweed but it's the ocean - what do you expect? I had fun body surfing on the waves. There were plenty of activities going around at the pools. Mostly the main pool but a few came up to the Barefoot Grill pool - some particularly fun ones were Rum tasting with Baby Face (who remembered our family and greeted us every time he saw us around the resort - what a gem!), pottery making and hat painting. Very unique and fun! The food was great and we had no issues getting into any of the a la carts. We had to wait an hour for one (that was the longest) but most were a quick wait or walk straight in. We loved the Seafood restaurant so much we went twice, and both times walked right in! The food at the Mexican restaurant was also amazing. Buffet was good, standard Dreams quality and lots of helpful staff. I also liked that every restaurant had a kids menu, and the buffet had a Kids Corner. Super helpful for those travelling with littles :) Evenings were early nights due to the kiddo, but we enjoyed after dinner until bedtime at the Sugar Reef bar. Good entertainment (sax player, preview of the evening entertainment, etc), great service from Johanneys, and Catherine. The entertainment looked good - but started past "bedtime" so we didn't see much of it. The drinks were awesome if a bit inconsistent between bars (everyone did a different strawberry margarita - but they all tasted great!). The lobby bar was often totally dead so a nice quiet place for a drink and a read if you wanted it. Ok, so now the stuff that made me give it 4/5 instead of 5/5. None of this was deal breakers for us, but I wouldn't expect it at a 5 star so I'm rating it what I feel is accurate. - They say poolside drinks service but it depends on the pool. None at all at the toddler pool or the lazy river/waterpark. Inconsistent at the one near the Barefoot Grill (depended on who was working, it seemed). Even the lobby bar you usually had to go up to the bar. - A few of the a la cart restaurants were only open a few days a week. That was a bit of a surprise and made getting into them harder (but not that bad, as mentioned above) - There's no fan in the hotel room bathrooms. Very odd to not have. - The "Dominican nights" (happened twice in the week we were there) invited locals to come ply their wares but they could be pretty pushy. - Lots of stairs. I know there was mobility and stroller access everywhere but the most direct route was often a block of stairs, which can be hard with kids. - Lots of weddings often partying past bedtime. Nothing really you can do for this, just giving a heads up to those with kids. The glazing on the patio doors can only filter out so much noise! - The Secrets being built next door was a bit of an eyesore and I can imagine if we were in a different room block the construction noise would have been infuriating. Like I said, they weren't dealbreakers for us at all and we would go back, but I would have liked to have known these before arriving.
