Good moments, but a few letdowns too

⭐ First Impressions We arrived to a modern and stylish reception area, and were warmly checked in by Christopher at the front desk for our seven-night stay. First impressions were great — the place looks fresh, contemporary, and every bit the 5-star experience we were hoping for. 🏨 Rooms & Housekeeping Our room was modern and comfortable, with everything you’d expect from a luxury hotel. Unfortunately, I realised after the first night that I’d been given the wrong room, and it took a couple of days to sort out. In the end, I decided to stay put rather than keep chasing it. Housekeeping was a little hit and miss too — I had to call twice to have my room serviced. At this level, I’d expect daily cleaning without needing to ask. We also tried room service once, and honestly, it was terrible. The food looked like it had been thrown together, the Philly steak sandwich was missing half the ingredients, and the burger was burnt and inedible. 🍽️ Dining Breakfast had a good selection with something for everyone, though the fruit was often unripe and service varied from day to day. Some mornings the staff were lovely and attentive, while on others, we were barely noticed. Staff helped many guests carry plates, but my mother who has obvious mobility issues — was never offered the same help, which was very disappointing. When it came to dinner, the World Café buffet actually outshone the specialty restaurants. The themed spots looked beautiful but the food often missed the mark — overcooked, too salty, or missing ingredients. The buffet, on the other hand, was consistently good, with plenty of choice for both adults and kids. ☔ Activities & Facilities There’s lots for kids to do — from the kids’ club and poolside entertainment to family-friendly games, the younger guests in our group were kept busy and happy. For adults, though, apart from the evening entertainment, things were quieter, especially when it rained. Only option was the games room (which costs extra), there wasn’t much to do indoors. A few more rainy-day options for adults would really help make the stay more enjoyable during bad weather.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 – An Amazing Stay at Dreams Macao Beach!

We’ve just returned from a wonderful stay at Dreams Macao Beach, and I can honestly say it exceeded all our expectations! The food was fantastic throughout the resort – every meal felt like a treat. Our favorite restaurants were the Asian (especially the teppanyaki table, such a fun and delicious experience!) and the Seaside Grill, where we enjoyed some of the best meals of the trip. The drinks were also top-notch, with a great selection available all day long – we especially loved trying the cocktail of the day. One of the big highlights for us was how relaxing the whole experience felt. There was no need to get up early to reserve sunbeds – plenty of space and comfortable loungers whenever we went, which made a huge difference. The activities were fantastic too, with something for everyone. We particularly enjoyed candle making and pottery making, which were both unique and a lot of fun. We visited during Halloween, and the resort really went above and beyond. They pulled out all the stops to make it an unforgettable experience for both adults and kids – from decorations to entertainment, it was simply incredible! Speaking of entertainment, the entertainment team deserves a huge shoutout. There was a great choice of shows and activities, and the team worked so hard day and night, always with a smile on their faces. A special mention to some of the amazing staff who made our stay extra special: Rigoberto and Jesus at the Preferred Family Pool – always so friendly and attentive. Yuberkis at the Reef Bar, who kept the drinks flowing with a smile. Domingo and Jensel, our wonderful butlers, who couldn’t do enough for us. Tairi and Baby Face from the entertainment team, who brought so much energy and joy every day. Thank you, Dreams Macao Beach, for an incredible holiday – we can’t wait to come back! 🌴✨

    Ladies Trip

Cons: -The beach area was very nice but the water is rough and when the tide is high the beach is very steep down to the water -The food was meh for the first two days but drastically improved during the last three. Whether this was because of higher guest bookings for those days or the sudden appearance of high level corporate staff? Who knows, we did appreciate the improvement in the food. -One evening there were multiple vendors set up along all pathways and public areas selling wares - think souvenirs, cigars, etc. This would've been fine but there were several that were very aggressive to the point of following us after we had declined and were walking away. It was annoying and caused us to return to our room early that evening. Pros: -Service was amazing, all staff were respectful, attentive and kind. There was a fairly significant language barrier for our group being English only speakers. I don't fault the staff, we were visiting their country, if anyone in your group has allergies or other special needs just be sure to learn the Spanish words for those issues. Use a translation app. -The adult only preferred pool was the perfect relaxation spot. Moises runs it like a well oiled machine and we spent most days there exclusively. -We didn't have any children with us but the family pools and water park seemed well cared for and kids were having fun. -If you have a large group get a villa, wonderful amount of space and away from most of the noise. We were five friends traveling as a group an we had a lovely relaxing vacation here. It's a lovely resort with wonderful staff.

    Family Vacation

Our family visited Dreams Macao at the end of October. Worried first about the weather, due to hurricane Melissa. But everything was okay. We had a wonderful time at this resort and would definitely come back. Beautiful beach; no seaweed. We have been to 6 different resorts in PUJ, Dreams Macao by far has one of the best entertainment team. Diamond, Babyface and Tairi really took their time to get to know the guests. Made sure everyone was enjoying their stay. Excellent customer service. A lot of different shows and activities thru out the day to make sure everyone had a good time. A lot of different food options to choose from. No issues with cleanliness. Everything was always kept clean. Jazmin did an amazing job with our room every day. Lobby and surround areas were kept clean as well Only thing we wished was done, was a spray to prevent mosquitos. Our last 3 nights there, a TON of mosquitos were out in the evenings. Definitely will be coming back to this resort!

Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana DR

With my stay at Dream Macao it was nice. We were offered to stay as apart of our vacation deal. We bought a vacation club package. When we arrived we were welcomed by a host of staff greeter. They opened our taxi doors, took our luggage out of the taxi, gave us something to drink and drove us to our Preferred Guest lounge. Arriving at the Preferred Lounge we were also greeted and welcome. They had a station of refreshments and a bar. We meet our Bulter, Domingo, who walked us to our room. Rooms Our room choice was a junior swim out room. Located in building 4 on the 1st floor. Upon unpacking we noticed that we had a bathroom link. Once we told ur bulter he got us a new room a couple doors down. No differences with the rooms. This room was a little smokey and the a/c was not as cool. The phone didn't work to call front desk or room service. However, we had Domingo on WhatsApp. Dinning There were numerous restaurants. We experiences the Mexican, Asian, main dinning and the 24 hour ice cream Cafe. Although there were numerous restaurants, they were all open all day or everyday. They said you do not need a reservation but you kinda do or you will be waiting awhile. The Asian restaurant was my favorite. The food was good and flavorful. One day we placed an order at the restaurant and had room service deliver it to our room. Even though I told the server no seafood because I am allergic, there still was shrimp in my food. The annoyance of having walk back because my room phone did not work. Mexican not so much. They were missing some seasoning. The ice cream tasted good and not too sweet. The main dinning we had for breakfast which was a little different everyday. However, there are numerous things to eat. Entertainment Entertainment was okay. Lots of music, dancing shows and a magic show after 9ish. I was so much entertained with these. The property was kept clean and staff were nice.
