    Great family vacation all inclusive resort

    We just got back from Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana. I went with my wife and 4 kids (20, 18, 14 and 12). It was a great property. Not too old (5 years) and well maintained. The property was beautiful and pretty large. Even though we were there in high season and it was full, it didn't seem crowded. The beach was amazing and the views were breathtaking. We stayed in connected preferred junior suites with an ocean view. That worked out well for the 6 of us. One king, two queens and a roll away. They were building a new resort next door and the construction was a little noisy during the day. However, we had a great ocean view and were not in our room much during the day. At night, we could open our balcony door and hear the waves crashing on the beach. It was great. The service was top notch! All the staff on site were extremely friendly and helpful and were on top of every detail. Because we were in the preferred suites, we had a butler and that was AWESOME! Our butler's name was Domingo and he was the best. He gave us the activities flyer every morning, checked in with us multiple times a day to make sure we had everything we needed and made dinner reservations and all the on site restaurants. Bartender, Myra, at the Sugar Reef bar and Jesus at the Preferred Pool were amazing. Very fun and friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were having a great time and had what we needed. Jesus made sure we had great seats by the pool every day. The activities and entertainment on site were awesome. We took part in a few of the activities (rum tasting, painting contest, Spanish classes, hat painting and fruit carving). This was a great resort for the family because of all the activities for all ages and the water park. Our 12 year old lived on the slides and lazy river. The many different pools and the preferred beach area gave us a variety of places to hang out each day. You could have a quieter spot at the 18 and over preferred pool or a party spot at the main pool that overlooked the ocean. The food was average. Our favorite foods were the fish tacos from the food truck, the chicken burrito on the preferred pool menu, the ceviche at Oceana and the empanadas and enchiladas at El Patio. The Coco Cafe was great to get coffee and ice cream at any time of day. Overall, it was a great family vacation resort and the property, staff and service exceeded our expectations.

    Dreams Macau Vacation Week

    We just returned from Dreams Macau and had a great time. The grounds were clean and very pretty. There were numerous pools and we spent a lot of time on the lazy river! The preferred family pool was located close to our room which made it very convenient. Plenty of lounge chairs so didn't have to wake up early to secure a few. Special shout out to jhony (Bravo) Tejeda! He was the best! We had a one year old w us and he was extremely helpful, making sure we always had good seating for the shows. Everyone on the entertainment staff were wonderful. The shows were great and they were all so talented. They also went above and beyond to make sure we were all having a good time! definitely a fun week!

    Great Family Vacation

    Great place for a family trip. We were a group of 14 - 8 adults and 6 kids, from 8 to 75 years old. We all had a great time and no complaints. The food and drinks were good, the NYE party was a blast. Everyone enjoyed themselves all week! Special shout out to my man Yeis! Great guy and great bartender! Patricia took the time to make sure the kids were treated like kings and queens while the other staff more or less ignored them. More shout outs to Sandy and Luis at the taco truck!

    Mediocre 2nd trip to Punta Cana, our 1st time was much better!

    Great location, the access to the beach was amazing and enhanced our time at the hotel. The room we had required some attention and updating, it overall seemed tired and worn. Spa was really nice, we had 3 treatments which with lovely. Unfortunately the food, restaurants and entertainment that let down our experience. The food was average at best with majority of the desserts seeming stale, the specialist restaurants lacked flavour and similarity to the cuisine it was representing. We were unable to pre book or reserve a table which meant long waits at times for dinner. The personality and friendliness of the entertainment staff was amazing they were always willing to engage us but unfortunately the Live performances and singers in the lounge were not great. On various nights, the singers lacked energy and talent with the son choices being repetitive each evening. Overall the hotel didn't meet our expectations which was a shame as we really enjoyed our 1st visit to the country (at a different hotel). I think attention to detail has let the hotel down and although staff seem t o be happy to help, they are missing the substance and quality underneath! Tairi (Entertainment supervisor), Baby Face, Damsel and Zoe really made our stay better, without them my rating would have been worst! I'd probably return to Punta Cana in a few years times but will try a different hotel!
