    Nice Resort, Great People

    Just got home from a week at Dreams Macao- we went as a family of 3 with a 10 year old son, and travelled with friends that were also a family of 3. Our room (Junior Suite Pool View) was nice, clean and in a great location (building 5, ground floor, overlooking the little kid water park). Food was good, nobody in our party of 6 was sick. We enjoyed the main pool and Lazy River. Beach was incredibly rough, but we knew that before booking- we did not swim in the ocean at all. Incredibly beautiful though! All of the staff was friendly and helpful, but I want to give the biggest shout out to Francis, who really went out of his way to befriend our boys and engage with them daily. He taught the boys various Spanish phrases, brought them coconuts, and even gave my son 50 Dominican Pesos so that he could take it home to show his friends and tell them about his Dominican friend! I’m sure Francis doesn’t make a huge salary, so for him to give any amount of money to a child is so special! I believe Francis is part of the clean up crew around the Lazy River, so typically doesn’t receive much for tips- if you see him, make sure to tip this man, he is fantastic and so caring! We did find that drinks were very inconsistent, even when made by the same bartender, however not a deal breaker for us. Overall we had a good week (weather could have been better, but that’s certainly no fault of the resort!) and would recommend to others. This was our first stay at a Dreams resort and we will likely check out other Dreams/ Secrets properties in the future.

    Exceptional customer service throughout the resort! We had Domingo as our butler in the Preferred Club and he was absolutely great! Always available to answer our questions and went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything that we needed during our stay. 10/10

    Had an amazing time. Stayed as a preferred guest. Domingo was our personal butler and his attentiveness was unmatched. Professionalism was his middle name. We came for a wedding and our time spent was filled with delight. Thank you Domingo for making our trip special.

    Dreams is a great place for the family!

    This is the second time staying at this resort and we were pleased with the experience again. There were some things that detracted from the experience, such as the phones not working, door not shutting well, clothes steamer not working in the room, but nothing that would be a deal breaker. What made us come back here was the staff. The staff are great and make you feel appreciated and welcome. The food, compared to other resorts in the AMR collection , was just okay. I’d give it a 3 out of 5, again, not a deal breaker. What makes the resort shine is the staff. They work hard to make the place clean and beautiful and the service staff are just the best. The Explorers Club MUST be prominently mentioned because they are just amazing. Our kids have talked non stop about them since we were here last year, and when we arrived, Rainbow instantly remembered us and our kids! She is just the BEST! But not just her, Candy, Queen, Cuteness and Moana are incredible. The staff at the buffet, especially Julio, Melissa, Kelvin, Ofani, Leandra, Crisbel and Grigori made us look forward to breakfast every single day for their warmth and service. These people are truly why we love the DR and the Dominican people. All in all, nothing feels forced or insincere from the staff here and they are why we will continue to come back for vacations here.
