Worth it! Pack your bags!
Spent a week with my kids (16 & 11) in the Preferred Club and we had THE BEST TIME. The beach and ocean were breathtaking with soft golden sand and dramatic waves. It's not easy to swim there, but if you enjoy the beauty of the ocean and are happy to jump in the waves, it's ideal. To swim, we enjoyed the pools very much. The food was quite good, and we loved the Dreams Benedict at Oceana for brunch daily. But the real star is the wonderful service. Alejandro was our butler, and he took care of everything with a smile and checked in with me daily. The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful overall, especially J. Ventura, who is going to be a terrific butler someday, too.

Perfect vacation in January, excellent service
Came here for a friend‘s wedding in January. The weather was perfect: sunny and warm. My boyfriend unfortunately sprained his ankle just before we left for our trip. However, the staff was completely accommodating and had a wheelchair and rolling walker available for him to use. Everyone at the resort was friendly and accommodating, especially at the restaurants and by the pools. Ligia and Oniel at the guest service counter were very patient and gave excellent customer service. The food was also fresh and delicious. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We had a good time celebrating a friend‘s wedding here. Wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy the weather and the amenities.

Nightmares start out as nice dreams too…
I really try to find good and different experiences when we travel. Understandably nothing is perfect so from time to time “things happen”. In this case, the cost of the trip was a complete disappointment in relation to the experience we had AND was promised. Our first all inclusive 5 star resort ended up with nothing but regret and an upset stomach. We pre arranged as much as we could for the travel to and from (airports and travel to the destination resort/hotel can be tricky). Once we arrived it was an orderly and organized check in and quick baggage to our room. First thing we noticed was the a/c was not working properly but was assured it would be corrected. 5 days, no fix after several requests but we moved on… The property was beautiful, very clean and overall “appeared” well maintained. The staff was the typical, pre programmed welcoming and smiles only. Language barriers, even tho I understand Spanish and speak some, were weaponized to keep you from asking too many questions. Fine, I get it. Our room had no hot water at the shower. Sink and tub were fine but the showers had none, requested a fix that never occurred. Requested a new room but apparently they were all booked. Ok, fine. Strike two! We found our way around and explored the amenities, enjoyed the pools and lazy river then came time for our first meal. We went to the Seafood Grill as the menu looked inviting. Started with a couple glasses of wine and was talked into the chef special fried onion appetizer. The only thing it was good for was a laugh. 3 yes 3, barely 2” round onion rings with dipping sauce and they were cold. My meal that followed was surf and turf with chicken and grilled shrimp and whipped potatoes and mixed veggies. The chicken was grilled on a flat iron griddle and the shrimp was boiled and not grilled with a wet sauce drowning them. The mashed potatoes were nothing more than sculpted instant potatoes all cold and truly inedible. My wife had ribeye with similar potatoes and veggies served the same cold solid way. Both our meats were jerky with gravy. I made it a point to bring the quality of the food to the attention of the manager, who did offer to remake our meals but I explained that wasn’t the problem, the quality of the food itself is the problem. The staff was nice and really wasn’t their fault because you can only serve what you have to work with. To sum up the overall experience with the food, it was poor at best. Flavorless, most was processed or mixed with processed fillers and just not good. For the money they charge the food should have been at least average and this was not even close. All the breads and deserts are the same decorated cellulose filler dough products made to look spectacular for photos but foods even the stray cats and dogs in the resort wouldn’t eat. Bottom line is this resort is a photo op dream but hollow core that doesn’t at all live up to its hype.

Not up to the standard of other resorts
Just kind of a mediocre experience. The staff, while incredibly nice, immediately tries to upsell you on multiple things and does not take "no" for an answer. Even while checking out they were trying to upsell. The room was fine, but the bathroom was not clean when we arrived and the shower had inconsistent hot water. Having to wait an hour for a restaurant seemed excessive at a resort.
