Jan 08, 2026Second Christmas at Dreams Macao Beach – Simply Amazing Again
We’ve just returned from our second Christmas holiday at Dreams Macao Beach, and once again it exceeded all expectations. The facilities, food, drinks, and overall atmosphere were amazing, but it’s truly the staff who make this resort so special. Every single person went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. The beach was stunning, and the local shacks on either side felt safe and welcoming—great for mingling with locals and soaking up the culture. The pools were spotless, and the main infinity pool offered a breathtaking view of the sea. We stayed over Christmas and New Year, and while the shows weren’t overly theatrical, they felt intimate and authentic. Celebrating alongside staff, friends, and family late into the night on both occasions created memories we’ll treasure forever. The entertainment team worked tirelessly day and night—poolside games, beach activities, dances, and nonstop fun. A huge shout-out to Baby Face, Jhony Bravo, Tairi, La Negra, Victor OG, LeBron, Diana, Summer, Kenny, Dora, Nina, Ninja, and the entire team for the constant laughter and incredible energy. The bar staff were equally fantastic. Papa Chicken, who kept us entertained with mystery cocktails, shots, and plenty of laughs. Special thanks as well to Johanny, Sindy, Frank, Moises (Preferred Club), and Rossy—you all helped make our stay so enjoyable. A special mention goes to pool waitresses Yolanda, Maria, and Geicy, who worked tirelessly every day with big smiles and impeccable service. We made sure to get our loungers in their section daily—they truly couldn’t do enough for us. The restaurants offered excellent variety. We especially loved Hibachi, Portofino, and Bordeaux, along with the buffet’s wide selection of fresh fish, meats, salads, and cultural themed evenings. Finally, a huge thank you to Jansel, our butler, who handled every issue seamlessly and even helped coordinate my proposal to my now fiancée—an unforgettable moment we’ll always cherish. This was our second visit, and hopefully not our last. We can’t wait to return to our Dominican family. ❤️🇩🇴

Waiting to return
We travelled to Dreams as a family with a 10 month old baby. The experience here was nothing short of amazing. We were treated with great care and felt like "la familia " from day 1. The food was very good - great meals at all of the restaurants that we were able to sample. The Loco Cafe staff of Kenia, Arhin, Luisa, Garrido and Daniela took care of our coffee and snack needs day and night. The entertainment staff were all remarkable and inclusive. Any hostesses that we met were friendly and accommodating as were the serving staff in the eating establishments and the bars. A very positive experience was had by all from the guest services, front of house, spa, pools and housekeeping staff. Clean rooms, delicious food and lots of fun. What more could you ask for

A Beautiful Vacation 🏖️, at a Great Resort Dreams Macao Dominican Republic 🇩🇴
The Experience was so amazingly beautiful 🌴🌞and everyone on the property were extremely supportive, caring and kind always smiling😊 and there to help us , they were genuinely always going out of there way, to make our comfort level over and beyond, our designated lead ( Domingo ) 👍🥰, at the club was always checking in to make sure any questions or concerns were answered and addressed! 😉Also many other staff members like Edison, Ruth, and many others , all did a fantastic service to Dreams at Macao 🏖️ Beach 🙏

My overall thought is that I will not be going back to this resort. The resort facilities were clean and well maintained. Our room was nice with a large bathroom duel showers and even a tub on the balcony. The spa was lovely and treatments good. The food at the buffet was not good. Most things tasted very bland and had odd textures. The French restaurant was good. The coffee shop was good and the rum raisin ice cream was the best I ever had. The clientele at the resort left a bit to be desired. It was a rather angry and slightly dull crowd. People did not respect the “no reserving chairs” rule. The staff also do not enforce this rule therefore getting a chair at the beach or pool could be challenging. People didn’t seem to enjoy evening entertainment. Most people just sat and stared. Just not my people. The beach was nice but the waves were extreme just about every day…not good for small children. There are also stray dogs on the beach. Overall it wasn’t horrible but I’ve been to much better resorts in the DR and beyond.

This was our 2nd time to DR. The first time the experience was horrible and I was very skeptical about the entire trip. But, the experience at Dreams Macao was amazing! All of us enjoyed the resort, the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness!
