    Close to Great

Dreams Los Cabos has a lot of good things going for it - but it falls short in a couple of key areas. The Good: Environment - love the location, the vibe, the energy. A very fun place to hang out. Staff - helpful and friendly. Loved interacting with the waiters and other employees - thought they were fantstic. The Bad: Food - We've been to a handful of other all inclusive resorts, and the food quality at Dreams Los Cabos was quite low. The buffet is extremely disappointing with low quality food and very options. Every day was the same and didn't provide that variety that we have come to love from other resorts. The "specialty" dining was good, but not great. The Mediocre: The room. The room was fine, nice size, good layout, but was showing it's age. Dirty furniture, rust in the shower, etc. Was cleaned well, but just didn't feel new and polished like others we have experienced.

Highly Recommend Dreams Cabo. Was so much better than anticipated. We didn't want to leave.

We highly recommend this resort, it exceeded our expectations. We saw whales daily from our room, pool and restaurants. The property is stunning, staff are exceptional. The poolside activities were alot of fun. Entertainment was great. Our grandkids were hesitant to go to the kids Explorers club but once they did, they wanted to go daily. My husband was skeptical but neither of us wanted to leave after 10 days and wished we stayed longer.

Overall good, but wouldn’t go back.

Location was nice. Beach and pools nice. Food on par for all inclusive resorts. Rooms larger than expected (jr. Suite.) A little dated but clean. Thin walls with adjoining door rooms- could hear everything. No swimming in ocean but knew that before based on safety of ocean in that area. Wait times at restaurants can be up to an hour. You can leave and come back though while in wait list. Biggest disappointment for our trip was that we were there during Super Bowl and the work they put into that took away from other areas. We felt like we lost a day of prime beach/ pool seating area, two restaurants closed to accommodate staff elsewhere and no other nightly entertainment. Sure the super bowl fans had fun, but I could not care less about football and felt cheated out of my paid all inclusive experience. No prior notice that certain restaurants would be closed so no planning was possible to not miss out on specific restaurant we planned on dining at. Very disappointed as we were celebrating a birthday and had emailed about that specific restaurant before we arrived. Overall enjoyed our trip. Would probably try a different resort if we go back to Cabo though since our last day left our memories a little irked.

Review for Dreams Los Cabos Suites Golf Resort and Spa January 2026

We recently stayed at Dreams Los Cabos in January 2026 and overall had a truly lovely experience. On this trip to Cabo, we decided to split our stay between two resorts to compare. We spent five nights at Dreams and then a couple of nights at Hyatt Ziva. After experiencing both, we would absolutely return to Dreams. It felt warmer, more personal, and more family friendly for us. One of the biggest highlights of our stay was the Kids Club. Our daughter is nine years old, and in the past she has usually tried kids clubs once and then asked not to return. This time was completely different. She loved it so much that she woke up each morning excited to check the schedule to see what activities were planned for the day. The ladies at the Kids Club, Sandy, Tomy, Pao, Andy, and Clau, were absolutely wonderful. They were attentive, kind, and genuinely engaged with the children. Our daughter truly enjoyed spending time with them, and we are so grateful for the care and warmth they showed her. Because she was so happy and comfortable there, my husband and I were able to enjoy a couple of lovely date night dinners together, which meant so much to us. We also really appreciated the buffet at Dreams, especially for breakfast. Our daughter loves buffets, and I personally loved starting the day while looking out at the ocean. It was such a peaceful and beautiful way to begin each morning. This stood out even more after visiting Ziva, where the buffet felt more enclosed and underground by comparison. A special mention goes to the woman who made omelettes at the breakfast buffet. Unfortunately, I do not remember her name, but she consistently greeted guests with a warm smile, even while managing many different requests. She truly stood out. It was also lovely meeting and chatting with the dining manager. He was very kind, and overall we found the dining staff to be welcoming and pleasant. We visited the twenty four hour café several times and consistently found the staff there to be patient, kind, and friendly, no matter the time of day. As for dining overall, we really enjoyed the food, especially the French restaurant and the salmon at the seafood restaurant, which was delicious. One area that could use improvement is the restaurant wait and reservation process, which was a common topic of conversation among guests. Having worked in the service industry myself, I understand that open tables do not always mean there are enough servers or kitchen staff to accommodate them. However, when the resort is very busy, especially when one restaurant is closed, it may help to have additional staff scheduled and a more organized waiting system. Something like taking phone numbers for text notifications or using pagers could make the process clearer and less frustrating for both guests and staff. An online reservation system could also be helpful, with a time limit of one hour and forty five minutes to two hours per table to ensure more guests are able to dine at a reasonable time. Limiting reservations to one per room per night could also help prevent overbooking. Clear instructions, such as a fifteen minute grace period for arrival, would help manage expectations. We were also unaware that the buffet is not open for dinner, which was challenging for our daughter, as buffets are often the easiest option for children who struggle with long sit down meals. On our first night, I was quite hungry and was unable to get food right away, which was especially difficult as I am celiac and cannot enjoy many quick pastry options. That said, according to my husband and daughter, the pastries and ice cream were absolutely delicious. One idea that could help guests/families would be offering a casual taco bar in the buffet area during dinner hours, especially on nights when one of the restaurants is closed. I personally would have been very happy with a few tacos and likely would have stopped by most evenings for a light snack. The reason for being so open and detailed in this review is because we truly would love to return to Dreams Los Cabos. We hope that a few small changes could further improve the experience, not only for us but for many future guests as well. When we arrived, we decided to upgrade our room from a family one bedroom suite to an oceanfront option, and we were very thankful we did. The space and ocean view truly enhanced our stay, and we would happily book this room again. A couple of small room related notes include the couches and dining chairs, which could benefit from more frequent deep cleaning, as there were visible stains that made us uncomfortable sitting on them. Slip covers might be a practical solution given sunscreen, food spills, and general wear. The air conditioning and fan in the master bedroom was also quite loud at night, making it difficult to sleep. While we could have contacted maintenance, we chose not to, as we did not want to disrupt our stay. These issues did not take away from how much we otherwise enjoyed the room. Overall, Dreams Los Cabos gave us a memorable, relaxing, and family friendly vacation. The staff, especially the Kids Club team, made a lasting impression on our family, and we are genuinely thankful for the care and kindness we experienced. We would absolutely return and recommend this resort to other families.

Great vacation spot, Mercedes and the team make all the difference!

Perfect escape for my 40th birthday! The property is beautiful, well maintained and comfortable. The staff and concierge team are friendly, accommodating and welcoming. Mercedes at the premier club beach area is the absolute best! Amazing customer service and just a great guy. Omar, the chef at the Seaside Grill is incredibly talented. Carlos, our premier club concierge, was always available via text and helped us with suggestions on where to go, what to do, what to avoid, etc. 11/10 would recommend and we can’t wait to come back!!
