  Beautiful Resort and Great Staff, but Fell Short of Five-Star Expectations

  Dreams Los Cabos is a beautiful and well-maintained resort, and there were definitely parts of our stay that we enjoyed. The grounds are attractive, the live music was excellent, and the pool activities were fun and engaging. The staff throughout the resort were also consistently friendly and helpful, especially when it came to recommending better food options on the menus. We booked a suite with an ocean view, and while the room technically faced the ocean, the primary view ended up being the back of a restaurant, which was a bit disappointing given the upgrade. The food overall was good but somewhat inconsistent. There was definitely a bit of a learning curve to figuring out what dishes were best at each restaurant. We were also surprised by the limited presence of traditional Mexican cuisine and dairy offerings — considering we were in Mexico, we expected more authentic options beyond the Italian, American, and general seafood menus. That said, items like the fish tacos and chilaquiles were highlights when we found them. The biggest letdown was the drink quality. For a resort marketed as a five-star all-inclusive experience, the bar program felt more like a box being checked than a highlight. Drinks varied widely depending on the bartender, many cocktails missed the mark, and most frozen drinks were disappointing (with the piña colada being a notable exception). Margaritas — arguably Mexico’s signature drink — were only average. Additionally, higher-quality liquor was only used if specifically requested, which didn’t feel particularly customer-focused for a resort at this price point. Overall, while the staff and atmosphere were strong positives, the experience didn’t fully match the expectations set by a five-star resort. For the cost, we were hoping for a more consistent combination of great rooms, food, and drinks, and unfortunately we likely wouldn’t return. TL;DR: Beautiful resort with excellent staff and fun atmosphere, but inconsistent food, disappointing drinks, and an underwhelming “ocean view” made it fall short of five-star expectations for the price.

  Cabo delight

  We have been to at least 11 different Secrets and Dreams resorts and this ranks right up there. The resort is in great shape, and the service was wonderful

  Outstanding Resort!

  Our stay at Dreams Los Cabos Suites Golf Resort & Spa was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. The rooms were incredibly spacious, beautifully maintained, and extremely comfortable. We had a stunning view overlooking both the pool and the ocean — and the highlight of our mornings was watching whales right from our room and again during meals. It was truly unforgettable. The weather was perfect the entire time, which made everything even more enjoyable. What really sets this resort apart is the service. We were treated exceptionally well by every single staff member we encountered. There were always plenty of team members around, so we never once had to wait for drinks at the pool. In fact, you could even order full meals poolside, which made relaxing that much easier. A special thank you to Antonio, who took care of us daily at the pool — his service was exceptional, and he was an absolute pleasure to see each day. We also want to recognize Eloy and the wonderful wait staff in the buffet at breakfast and lunch. Their warm smiles and attentive service made every meal even better. The resort makes everything feel effortless. No towel cards (and yes, you can grab two towels if you want!), no wristbands to wear, and no reservations required for the à la carte restaurants — such a refreshing change. The towels were oversized and fully covered the loungers, which is a small detail but one we really appreciated. The food was very good with a wide variety of options, and room service was included with an excellent selection — not an afterthought, but genuinely enjoyable. Overall, this was a relaxing, seamless, and memorable vacation. Between the incredible ocean views, daily whale sightings, amazing weather, delicious food, and outstanding service, we couldn’t have asked for more. We would highly recommend this resort and can’t wait to return!

  Couples Getaway

  My husband and I had the most wonderful time at this resort! Beautiful views and such friendly staff. The entertainment team was so much fun - and Seline was particularly lovely! Take her Spanish class!! Lots of laughs and learning :) Seline - I still have my notes!! Lol We look forward to visiting again :)

  Exceeded my expectations

  Very nice staff, relaxing environment, great views, clean rooms, good food, beautiful beach. My only complaint would be the pillows.
