  Great Trip

  The resort location to the Airport was great (30 minute drive). The resort and resort staff were very friendly and helpful. The resort rooms are dated a little but comfortable. The pool and beach area are great along with the staff and all of the activities. The restaurants we ate dinner at were Portofino and Seaside Grill. We had a 2 hour wait at Portofino 1 of our nights but it was simply due to a large group they sat right after they opened at 5:30. We were able to see whales right from the beach which was amazing. Overall it was great trip and will be back to spend more time there.

  A vacation within a vacation (thank you Explorers club!)

  My family just returned from a wonderful vacation at the Dreams resort. This was our first all inclusive resort and we were very happy with our experience. The Explorer's club really made this vacation for us. My kids are ages 3, 7, and 8 and they were excited to go every day and loved the variety of activities they offered, they would choose to stay through lunch/dinner which gave me and my husbands many opportunities for dates. It felt like a vacation within a vacation. The Explorer clubs staff were great with our kids and very professional. We enjoyed majority of the food at the resort- all of the Mexican options (fish tacos, ceviche, aguachile, tacos and sopas at the buffet) were fantastic- we are Californians and are used to good Mexican food and their fish tacos really impressed us. The fresh tortillas really elevate everything. The American/western food was hit or miss (aka burgers, steaks etc). Skip the burgers. The best restaurant was Oceana in our opinion- the octopus was the best I've ever had. The desserts were nothing to write home about but our kids loved the option to get ice cream whenever they wanted (and we often said yes). Drinks at Oceana and Seaside grill were our favorite. Most of the grilled options at all the restaurants (aka fish and steak) were subpar (usually dry) but the fish at the buffet lunch at World cafe was surprisingly good. We loved all the evening entertainment, the live music and shows really captivated our kids and made for fun easy evenings. Though the pool was a tad cold in the mornings it was still comfortable to swim in and the kids loved the slide, kiddy pool and jacuzzi. Beach views are gorgeous, we saw whales almost everyday. Some people saw a turtle laying eggs when we were there but we missed it. Had no trouble getting seats by the beach and pool in January. Room service usually took longer than expected to arrive so keep that in mind when ordering ahead. Hotel walls are also thin, we got lucky and had no neighbors until the last day. Rooms are huge, ocean view usually has some palm trees in the way. A quick uber off property to Chileno Bay gave us a chance to swim in the water and see so many fish, highly recommend. Also there is a beachside massage tent to the left of the property(not affiliated with dreams) that does 60 min massages for $60 and it was one of the best massages I've ever had. We are already counting down the days until we'll come back to visit again. My kids played "pretend kids club" the day we got home from vacation they loved it so much. Thank you dreams hotel for a fantastic stay!

  Not allowed to go in the ocean

  The beach was roped off. No getting your feet wet in the ocean due to riptides. This is not adequately specified before you book your trip. The rooms are musty, like dampness in the air. They changed our room the first night. We got horribly eaten up by mosquitoes.

  We Loved it!!

  This property is beautiful and January was the perfect time to go. My husband and I have started taking an annual winter getaway to escape the cold of Missouri, and we were very pleased with Cabo. The food was excellent, every drink I had was excellent (hubby is a beer drinker so can't go wrong there), the staff was friendly and helpful. They say you don't need reservations, but if you eat at 7 ish, you will have to wait. They didn't say they wouldn't make a reservation, so I would recommend asking if they will even though they say you don't need one. The buffet was not open 24 hours, but it looks like that is a Hyatt thing. For all inclusive properties, we were used to having a 24 hour buffet, but it really wasn't a big deal for us personally. There are options to eat something at pretty much any time of day. You just have to do a little research. I will say that it was strange not to have a Mexican restaurant in Mexico, but one restaurant had fish tacos, and you could get quesadillas and chips and salsa. Just had to ask. We loved the adult only swimming pool and there were always chairs available. I saw a review that said they ran out of towels, but we did not have that experience. The room we had was big and our balcony overlooked the adult pool and had the ocean in the background. The noise level was fine - we had no trouble. We did have a few challenges with housekeeping (the mirror in the bathroom was filthy and she didn't restock the minibar) but overall the room was clean and was terrific! We loved the location - right on the beach and easy to get to our excursions. I can't comment on the value as I purchased a package at a charity auction and haven't looked into normal pricing, but I imagine it is very competitive with other properties. Just know that you aren't going to be able to get into the ocean (I believe it's the same regardless of the resort as I'm hearing the water in Cabo is just too dangerous). We did wish we could have done that, but it wasn't that big of a deal. We would definitely return to this property (and probably will). Definitely recommend!

  Review or Hyatt Dreams at Los Cabos

  Our stay was ok. Service was exceptionable at the bar and all restaurants. Waiting over an hour each night was frustrating no reservations allowed. Seafood and pasta great, but steak and pork not so good. Great beach but hard to walk and no swimming allowed. Housekeeping was poor often missing wash cloths and hand towels. Rooms were very good large size and comfortable, with a good view of the pool and beach.
