  Babymoon

  It was recently acquired, and you can tell. Has some work to do to get it up to the Secret's reputation. Secrets Cap Cana was infinitely better in almost every way. Ezequiel at the preffered beach and pool deserces a raise and a promotion the perfect example of a hospitality professional.

  11/2025 Stay

  This could just be due to the timing of Hyatt taking over Hilton but I honestly feel that this resort is overpriced for what you are getting. While the grounds and beach are beautiful, the rooms are hit and miss. The room was clean but the AC didn’t always work properly which left sheets and couches feeling damp. The bathroom door is just a barn door so you really never full close it to give yourself privacy. The bathroom itself is large but little things like the cold water gave you hot water in the shower and then at some points the lights wouldn’t work. For some reason they also stopped stocking the mini fridge during the middle of the week. The beach is beautiful but to get a chair you so have to be there early. Most days we were down the preferred Secrets beach by 8:30 and most chairs were already taken with towels and items. It just seems like they don’t have enough items for the amount of visitors there were many breakfasts in the buffet that you just didn’t get water or coffee because they didn’t have the glass which seems odd to me. Staff try the best that they can and most of them were great! Olga at the preferred pool was an amazing bartender and made great drinks! All in all I don’t know if I would come back again.

  Beware of scams

  We had a good stay, however they have a scam going on at the hotel. Yves - a Playa Collection representative - approaches you to offer you an association which is basically a time share (two hour presentation) in exchange for a rewards booklet that offered late checkout and a discount for spa services. However, when we tried to use it, we were informed that the SPA discount was not applicable to the makeup service (despite the fact that we repeatedly inquired specifically about this to several representatives) and the late checkout was subject to availability (which was never informed). When trying to redeem the late checkout, Arnold at reception and Gabriela at Concierge were not helpful at all and the manager - Rose - was also conveniently unavailabe the whole morning and “unable to assist”. Also, when we complained to Yves, he said he didn’t care that we were going to write a review since he works on commission. Aditionally, Fernando at the Playa Collection presentation was extremely rude when we informed that we would not be signing anything and turned to passive-agressiveness. As stated, we only endured said presentation for the rewards booklet and were impeded to use anything. So, beware if you stay at a Hyatt!! They are running scams at the property! If you don’t believe me just google Playa Collection and find out for yourself.

  Great Food, Great Amenities

  Victor Val was the best butler! He helped plan a surprise engagement for my fiancée and I. We couldn’t be happier. I would recommend this resort to anyone as the food was fabulous and had great variety as well!

  Amazing resort with Amazing staff!!

  Absolutely beautiful place! Staff was super friendly and went above and beyond. Definitely recommend! 10/10 Our waitress at the pool, name is Belkis was the best!!!
