Nov 27, 2025The resort that keeps on giving!
For the third time in 13 months we stayed at this truly wonderful resort. The grounds, the gardens are well kept and relaxed. The people just can not do enough for you and are a real team that has fun doing their job. The new Italian restaurant is a great improvement with more atmosphere and do not get me started on the Sports bar 'Scores": perfect cocktails (the Dominican Julep has to be tasted). The rebranding of Noor to Indo Mediterranean is very good and adds to the variety in choice and variation of restaurants. . We had no opportunity to taste the upcoming menu, as it was not yet introduced. (but the menu is on the information page of the restaurant on your room). We would like to mention the following staff: Yohan de Jesus: who assisted in getting the rooms we wanted and this time was even present when we arrived. The Secrets Preferred Pool team: Olga, Diomimy Jose and the others. They made us relax to the max, not an easy task! Elisabeth at the coffee bar: she even rembered us from earlier visits! The room tea who clean, fill mini bars and change the towels. I am afraid we will have to visit again... It feels like home away from home to us.

Secretes la romana great service
My experience was amazing! The staff was very kind and always willing to help. Diorka was a beach server on the beach and always gave excellent service. She would bring us drinks and remember the ones we loved. She would also check on us regularly and help us out whenever we asked

A few minor issues that do not represent a secrets resort standard. Adrian at the pool bar was my favorite person. He is so happy and truly looks like he enjoys his job! Antonio, my butler was so sweet and always looking to enhance my stay. Blackie chan and santa at Sakura were happy and fun during our Habachi experience. Nairobi and dessiree at the preferred club were sweet and saved my trip! Literally!!!!! Francesco at MARE provided wonderful service. Wasn't a fan of the food for dinner, but he made up for it. Henry, caoba and the grill supervisor was always checking in on us and our experience. And last but not least, our house keeper Nancy. She did a great job and we thank her very much for the little personal touches she did on the room. The resort is beautiful! Even with the construction (which didn't bother us at all), the landscaping was perfect. The room was clean. Some of the service at buffet specifically was a little off. Waiting a long time for drinks even with only 4 or 5 other tables. Water is calm and seaweed free! I would return again.
