Lovely stay recommend 🙂
We had a lovely stay at secrets la Romana. We enjoyed the preffered pool every day, I think her name was Evelyn and she served our drinks every day with a smile! All of the staff we encoutered were really really nice and Always smiling. Food was really good, on both sides. Azzuri was the only one we did not like that much. Special thanks to Byron Mercedes our butler, he was always there for us with a smile. Quick to reply when we had a question and overall very helpfull. We stayed in building one preffered secrets side. Only three little points for improving; stair railing both sides of the stairs. The smoking area was right in front of our building entrance, so when we were going to our room we have to go trough that maybe another spot would be more suiteble. The room was a bit noisy, we could hear the people next to us snoring. Overall lovely stay, good food and nice staff. We would definitely come back.

Stunning resort
We are on our last night here at the resort. This has been a very special holiday for us as we got engaged on the beautiful beach here. Private meal- (additional cost of $99 pp) To celebrate we did a private meal on the pier at the time of booking my fiancé said what we wanted to celebrate to concierge at the desk in the preferred club lounge and requested the table to be decorated however there was no acknowledgment of our engagement and table was just plain no decoration which was disappointing. However the steak at this meal was amazing and it was a nice touch that the chef came out to check on us. Also our waiter was wonderful (can’t remember his name unfortunately) Preferred club- We upgraded at the time of arrival of our stay and did not regret it. We loved having access to the air conditioned lounge and private bar. Lounge was always filled with fresh snacks. We had wonderful service from Olga and Evelyn at the blue bar at the preferred club swimming pool. So attentive and made delicious cocktails. Never had a problem getting sun loungers at the pool or the beach! Food- Our favourite restaurants were Sakura and la moustache. Sakura - we enjoyed the sushi bar and the a la carte restaurant. Food very good. However one thing I will mention is my partner had asked to have sushi at the table at the same time as our meal as we had seen multiple couples do this however we were told no and sushi can only be ordered at the sushi bar with a booking! Which is annoying as 10 minutes later the couple next to us were aloud to order sushi to their table as well as the a la carte menu. La moustache- the duck dish there was amazing. The other restaurant were nice just nothing stands out like the above. Chinola was the only restaurant we didn’t enjoy. The food was very dry like it had been sitting under heat lamps for a long time. Unfortunately the service here wasn’t great either. The waiter came over with the wine list ( which is an additional cost) asking if we’d like wine? Which we responded no thank you as we don’t really drink wine. The waiter seemed extremely annoyed at this and just walked away. Needless to say we didn’t return to chinola. The buffet food was ok. Coffee bar adult side- All of the wonderful ladies at the coffee bar always had a smile on their faces and happy to help. There is one special lady I’d like to mention Cesarina Cedeño who always remembered my order of mint tea every evening and it was service with a smile. Room- Room always clean and tidy. Plenty of storage. Our maid was Elba Iris and she did a great job. I’m unsure of the evening maid who did turn down however she was amazing too. To summarise the staff here in general are wonderful so friendly. However attention to detail was missed in our case which was abit disappointing.

Amazing vacation at Secrets La Romana 🌴✨
We recently stayed at Secrets La Romana and had an absolutely wonderful experience. Upon arrival, we upgraded to the Preferred Club, which gave us access to additional bars and restaurants for breakfast and lunch — and it was well worth it! Service: The service was outstanding. Every staff member was polite, attentive, and always asking if there was anything they could do to make our stay better. You can really see how hard the entire team works to please every guest, and this made a big difference. Special thanks to Yuliana and Maria from the animation team — every morning they kept us informed about the daily activities, and we especially loved the beach Zumba at 12:00! Bars: A huge thank you to all the bartenders at the Blue Bar, the Preferred Lounge (adults side), and the new Sports Bar. They were always friendly, smiling, and even remembered our favorite drinks — this really made us feel special. I’m sorry I don’t remember all their names, but honestly every single one of them was outstanding and went above and beyond. Rooms & Beach: Our room was spacious and comfortable, although we didn’t spend much time inside because the beach completely stole our hearts. The water is an unbelievable turquoise blue, the sand is white and soft, and the beach itself is big and very clean. We also liked that towels were easily available without the hassle of towel cards like in some other resorts. Resort Grounds: The resort is large and beautifully maintained. We especially appreciated the designated smoking areas, as we don’t enjoy cigarette smoke everywhere — this was a very thoughtful detail. Restaurants: We tried all the restaurants. On the adults-only side, everything was fantastic — food, service, and atmosphere. On the family side, it was just okay. The food was edible but not very impressive, and the interiors felt a little outdated. However, we saw that two restaurants were already closed for renovation during our stay, so we believe improvements are on the way. Overall: This is one of the very few resorts where we would definitely love to return. Our rating: 10/10. Huge thanks to the entire Secrets La Romana team for working so hard and making our holiday truly unforgettable! The resort is now under new management, and it’s already clear that positive changes are happening — we are excited to see what’s next.

PARADISE!
We have just enjoyed a fabulous week at this hotel! We had no issues with bees but don’t forget your mosquito treatment as they were definitely out in force. The adults preferred pool was a fantastic place to meet people and to share tips for the rest of the resort. Olga was a superb bar person with skills in drinks and a fantastic sense of humour. Dominica was so helpful with whatever we needed and Elvy? (I think that is how it is spelt) was a credit to this area too. My only wish would be that lunchtime food was readily available at the preferred adult pool, you had to go over to the Dreams side for snacks.

Great Experience
Excellent experience. I will definitely pay for preferred club. Great perks and excellent service. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Rooms are clean and mini bar restocked daily. Loved it!
