Intimate, Clean and Beautiful Resort.
This resort gives off an intimate feel as it is smaller in size and all located on one level, aside from the lobby and the beach, you can maneuver around with ease as everything is in one place. The resort is mostly couples and an older generation, however as someone in their 30’s I enjoyed the quietness and more of a classier vibe. I’ve been to Cancun, Cozumel, DR and Cuba - this is a different feel, one that can be enjoyed daily without the craziness like other resorts. It is clean, the rooms are spacious and the food is great. Personally the buffet was a win for me, as I enjoyed the selection of fresh fruit (literally the best) and seafood at both lunch and dinner. Avoid breakfast between 8:45-9:30 am as it is busy. Restaurants were not my fave, but good to try at least once. Many pool options and lots of space. The beach is a personal fave. Although I visited during low season, there is still plenty of beach and pool chairs to choose from. Entertainment staff were all great especially Gabriel&Nefftaly. Tavo&Aegor 🦅 were also fun to watch and a personal fave. Drink servers Eddie and Alejandro from the pools/beach are the friendliest and quick to deliver your drinks. Personal faves are the mojitos and margaritas on the rocks - both are 10/10. If you are a coffee person try an iced cappuccino from the cafe off the lobby (lactose free and no sugar) 10/10. If I could change one thing, I wish there was music playing all day at the main pool, although I understand this is not enjoyed by everyone. Would return 100%.

Above and beyond
We travelled there end of Oct into Nov. The occupancy rate varied from 30% to 70% during our time there. Regardless, it was always possible to get a chair by a pool or on the beach. There wasn't that crazy 6am rush to drop towels that you see at other resorts (thankfully). Overall, the food was excellent. More vegetarian options would be great, but that part was adequate. For us, Portofino, the Italian place was the eating highlight, although one could get your fill with the taco bar in El Patio. Look for Ariel and Sandy, concierges. Truly exceptional service from both. As well, we noticed that hostesses taking our room number for meals got to know our names and our room number very quickly. Overall, there was so little friction when trying to get something/get somewhere/talk to employees that everything just felt easy. Don't skip the spa. The hydrotherapy was fun and my massage was one of the best I've had, and I use that service regularly at home so I can compare. Thank you for an excellent holiday! We will be back.

Beautiful Setting, But the Experience Falls Short of Huatulco’s Potential
I’ve stayed at three other resorts in Huatulco over the years, and Dreams has the location and infrastructure to be a standout — but it’s not living up to that potential. The bay itself is stunning, and the staff are friendly and well-intentioned. The problem is everything else that turns a good property into a great experience: the food, upkeep, and overall energy. Meals ranged from bland to genuinely unpleasant (not to mention stuff like flies being a plague on the breakfast buffet). Unfortunately it was easily the weakest of any resort I’ve tried in this area. Facilities feel tired, and the atmosphere lacks the polish or warmth you’d expect from a supposed luxury all-inclusive. That said, with better culinary management, some investment in maintenance, and attention to detail, Dreams could be competitive again. Huatulco is a special place with world-class beaches and welcoming people. I hope the brand recognizes that this property isn’t keeping pace with the others nearby. Right now, it’s falling short of what this destination deserves.

Dreams Huatulco
Beautiful place extremely clean and the staff is absolutely amazing. Loved all the activities that were in the hotel as well and that we could do. We have talked about going back again.

Dream Huatulco holiday!
We were in Huatulco (Dreams) from October 30-Nov 8. We enjoyed our stay and had a unique opportunity to participate in the Day of Death festival (Oct 31-Nov2). Staff are helpful, friendly and courteous, and the food is good, especially the Japanese and Italian restaurants. You can save 20% on tours by booking early through Westjet vacations. We especially like the Magic waterfalls and Day of Dead Nov 2. Sandy, the pool concierge, was very helpful.
