Pay a little more and go to Secrets
Our experience was overall okay. We were mostly disappointed about not being to try the different restaurants for dinner. The Italian one was closed two days in a row, and then it was the seafood restaurant that was closed. Really irregular schedules; make sure you ask about that the day you arrive, so you can plan accordingly. One day, we found ourselves with no choice but to go to the Mexican restaurant, which was truly AWFUL. Most nights we ate at the Asian restaurant, which, thankfully, was delicious. Otherwise, I would be leaving fewer stars here. Noel, Giovanni, Antonio, and a few others (can't recall more names) were extremely attentive and pleasant. The service of the waiters at the pools was also excellent, even if they did take a while to bring back drinks for so many people. Our opinion is that it's worth it to pay a little more and stay at Secrets, Dreams' sister hotel in Huatulco, if you don't have kids with you. Secrets is always a great choice, especially if you're going for the gastronomy.

Returning as soon as we can!
Loved the experience so much. Would return in a heartbeat, and although the hotel is on the older side, the hospitality and love we received was top notch.

Paradise found.
Great getaway in paradise. Food was better than expected. Loved not having to make reservations. Lots of pools, nice beach. No trouble getting chairs. The grounds and setting are lovely. Room was ok. Very clean. Nice view. The staff really make this resort special. Everyone was friendly, welcoming and competent. We took taxis into town a few times to explore, shop and catch a local meal. We’re surprised that most guests we talked to thought us adventurous to do so. Folks Huatulco is safe and locals are nice.

Fantastic staff! All of the staff we encountered during our stay were eager to serve you and be of assistance.
All of the staff were pleasant and eager to be of assistance. In particular, Sandy, the beach concierge, was outstanding. She did a great job managing the loungers at the Preferred Beach, always with a happy smile on her face. It’s a difficult job dealing with some of the guests and she did it very well! Also Romualdo, the drink server, was great. So pleasant and always remembered our names. Both Sandy and Romualdo are excellent at what they do and are also studying English to do an even better job. Well done Sandy and Romualdo!
