Alexander and Francesco gave the best service at the buffet. We love this resort, service and people are the best. We have been here a few times and will definitely return. Highly recommend Dreams Huatuco.

Paradise for Beach Lovers
I travelled to Dreams with my husband and daughter and we had an amazing time. The beach activities - snorkelling on site, SUP, hobby cat sailing, and kayaking were awesome. Luis, Fernando and Neve at the Aquatic Centre were helpful, super fun energy, and a pleasure to chat with each day. We brought our own snorkel masks, but borrowed flippers and life jackets. There are two main areas to snorkel and while there isn't any coral or a huge abundance of fish - each day we saw something new and exciting. There are many snorkelling tours offered - but given we could see things right at the beach, we opted not to book into a tour. The beach itself is beautiful - a long stretch of golden sand with very clear water. The area directly in front of the resort had mild to moderate surf (depending on wind conditions) ... but if you like jumping in waves / body surfing / boogie boarding, you can just walk down the beach to find some more sizeable surf. The two event evenings in the Plaza (International night and Oaxacan night) were incredible events with great entertainment and a beautiful decor. As many reviews state, the rooms are on the small side and showing their age - but they are kept spotless with comfortable beds and good air conditioning. The bathrooms are in desperate need of ventilation. After a short shower, the entire space is filled with steam / nothing dries very well. While we'd love to conserve towels and reuse them, there weren't enough hooks or areas to hang them to dry, so they remained damp and we swapped them out each day. We paid for the preferred club, and I'm not sure we'd do that again, as the 'perks' didn't really match the price. Sandy, the concierge at the Preferred Beach Club area was absolutely amazing. Warm, welcoming, and extremely hard working. Jose the Bartender at Barracuda Bar was also fantastic! Great drinks, big smiles, and worked so hard every single day! We found that the vast majority of staff at the resort were incredibly pleasant, helpful and boosted your mood with their smiles! A special mention to Jael and Valeria at the World Cafe for being especially welcoming each day! There are a number of shops (souvenirs, pharmacy) directly across the street from the hotel. We found this very helpful as the hotel gift shop is incredibly expensive. When we ran out of sunscreen, we crossed the street for another bottle because the hotel was selling a bottle for 800 pesos ($63 CAD!!!). We also opted for an off-site spa experience as the prices at the Dreams Spa were higher than we'd seen at any other resort. The biggest area for improvement at Dreams is shaded spaces. Chairs at the pool and beach are all reserved by 7am. There simply aren't enough chairs available, especially shaded chairs. There are just two permanent shade structures near the pools and there are umbrellas but on windy days (4/7 days we were at the resort) they are closed for safety reasons, so shade is very limited and Huatulco is very hot, and very sunny. The palapas on the beach that are damaged need to be repaired, and more need to be installed. If you haven't been to Huatulco before, the sun is extremely strong and during the height of the day, shade is a must! For families travelling with smaller children, or just those that like to pop back to the room throughout the day, Dreams is a good fit. Not huge/sprawling like many other resorts. Overall we had an incredible time. The beach, available activities, specialty nights in the Plaza and the wonderful, hard working staff made it a vacation to remember!

The Staff are just amazing !
The staff at this resort are top notch! Everyone was so nice and accommodating! I have to give a special shout out to Yadira at the Seaside Grill! She went above and beyond to make our experience memorable!

Beautiful relaxing beach vacation!!
Beautiful resort, I definitely recommend it to anyone! Many pools and amazing beach. Staff were always there to get whatever you needed. Big shout out to Alberto, Daniel and Eufrosina from the beach kept the drinks coming! All staff were amazing!! I would definitely go back!!

A great second visit!
This is a very nice, well-maintained resort. Many very appealing amenities and very pleasant staff. The jewel in the crown is Graciela who serves in the Preferred Club. Her mescal lime Margueritas are not only the best in the whole Dreams Resort, but probably in all of Mexico too!!! Graciela is a first rate bartender. Dreams are lucky to have her. 🙏👌❤️
