  Great Experience. Would like to come back some time.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Dreams resort. The staff was friendly and room service was great. We expressed some concern over the vegetarian options in the World Cafe buffet restaurant. The selection was somewhat limited and the signage was not always clear. When we mentioned this to Guillermo, he went out of his way to have special 4-course vegetarian dinners prepared for us on the nights we dined in the World Cafe. We were very appreciative of Guillermo, Chef Armando and all the serving staff for accomodating us so well. Thank you again to all the staff! The only thing keeping us from giving 5 stars was the fact that we were "stood up" for a Spanish activity by an employee who new we were waiting there - really disappointing. Overall, a good experience.

  Huatulco, our new favorite!!!!

  A group of 12 of us travelled to Dreams Huatulco January 10-17 to celebrate my partner's 67th birthday. It was our first trip to Huatulco, but will not be our last. Every person on the trip said they would love to go back. Huatulco itself was beautiful, clean, and everyone we met was super friendly. I travel to all inclusive resorts at least twice a year and have been doing so for many years so I will stick to the pros and cons. Rooms: We were all in preferred club rooms, the majority of the rooms were fine, but a few in the group had issues with broken tiles, and noise levels. These issues were brought up with the concierge and the guests were moved and they had no complaints from that point on. While not luxurious the rooms were very clean and comfortable, my only major complaint is that there were no shower doors, and none of the pillows were to my liking. Beach: I chose this resort due to the reviews of the beach and it did not disappoint. We were all very surprised how clean and clear the water was, even when you were waste deep. Chairs that had shade, were limited. They need to add more palapas and beach chairs overall. Pools: There were several pools, however my group stayed on the beach. So cannot speak to the temperature, but the chair game was definitely was on. Towels were out very early in the shady areas. Food: We found the food very good in all the restaurants. No complaints there. Of course we are from Louisiana and we eat almost anything. My partner enjoyed the grasshopper salad in the Mexican. None of us ordered room service, so I can't speak to that. Bars/Drinks: Overall the drinks in all the bars were good, none were great or outstanding but since it is AI you could send it back if you didn't like it. Service: Everyone at this resort was friendly. We did not encounter a single person who was anywhere near rude. The bartenders, waitstaff, room stewards, bellboys, concierges, everyone.....all nice, all eager to help. It has been a very long time since I could say that about a resort. Entertainment: We did not go to every entertainment event, but the ones we did take part in were good. The Mexican night show was excellent. I must thank Daisy the concierge for her assistance in arranging a group dinner for Frank's birthday! I love that the resort has maintained much of the old Mexico charm, with lush landscaping, etc. when so many resorts seem to be trending to the sterile feel. Could some areas benefit from a little TLC? Yes, but overall nothing I encountered would keep me from going back. One quick little tidbit, I think we were the only Americans at the resort.

  We found the friendliness of the staff made the vacation special.

  It was really way better than we expected we've stayed at a lot of other all exclusive's in Mexico this was by far the best. I’ll point out even though it says family we didn’t see any kids around the adult pool. Food was good resort was clean everywhere not too noisy at the pool but it was really the staff that made our vacation one of the best. Fabiola and Jimena the two young ladies who were seating us where we ate just made dinners special. We always went Cicillia the waitress at the buffet section she was ever so nice.I regret not getting the name of the waiter from the Asian restaurant who ever so politely offered to take my dinner up to the room I had too much to drink and he carried my take out up to the room for me. The waiter at the Mexican restaurant who always had the biggest smile for me I regret not getting his name and when we go back I’ll make a point of using the taco bar more often. The service we had at the Italian restaurant the maitre d and the waiter was fantastic. Galdino the bartender in the lobby bar made the best Manhattan I've ever had. I can honestly say it was the staff that made our trip even my buddies at the Coco cafe who would pile on the late night snacks before I went to bed at night. Great service doesn't happen by accident we can thank Luis Hurtado for that Its a constant that if the management is excellent it shows up in the staff from the top to the bottom. Thanks again Phil

  Enjoyed Stay

  Everything was really good for the most part. Improvements: nightly entertainment was not as good as it was seven years ago. Buffet food was only somewhat passable. Need better choices. A la carte restaurants were fantastic. Personnel were very friendly and helpful. Shout out to Alvaro, Sandy and Yonci

  Great vacation

  It was a great vacation despite our flight home being canceled due to weather in Toronto. It was our first visit to Huatulco and we loved the resort! We chose Dreams Huatulco Resort because of the beautiful swimming beach and lovely snorkeling spots. Nice ride from the airport—around 20 minutes—smooth check-in and vacation! ROOM – 4382: clean, very spacious with comfortable beds. The A/C worked well. MEAL: The buffet was great for breakfast! We loved Seaside Grill for lunch and dinner when it was open. Amazing sea view and service! Our special appreciation for outstanding service to Miriam, Ricardo, Eduardo, Daniel, Angye, Jesus, Victor, Francisco, Cecilia and, of course, Maximino at Rendezvous Bar! BEACH: beautiful! You can swim and walk for up to 30 minutes. And snorkeling… there are 2 lovely spots: close to Turtle Island and second one: go to the left by the rocks. Check out the amazing guys in the pictures and video on youtube! We saw turtles, spotted Eagle Ray, school of yellowtail surgeonfish, catfish, giant damselfish, angelfish, queen fish, boxfish, and more… Thanks to all the staff at Dreams Huatulco for making our trip enjoyable!
