Loved it! Minus the food
We had a fabulous experience! We went through WestJet and went on a couple of excursions. The service at the resort was amazing (special thanks to Eddie and Primi!). The food wasn't great and most of the restaurants were closed, while the buffet kept us fed it wasn't the best. We will probably choose somewhere else next time due to the food, but the service was immaculate!

primarily a mexican spanish speaking resort
this is primarily a mexican spanish speaking resort and we don't speak spanish, this a not a negative is just what it is. we want on a snorkeling excursion and they only spoke spanish, i should've asked before hand, fortunately a private tour guide with another couple kept us informed. the mexican people and management were very nice. the entertainment is also in spanish. a number of english people come here because of the culture of the area. the hotel is very clean, the food was above average. the room was nice and the grounds were well kept. the biggest issue we had is there are no wristbands as a result you have to stand in line and give your room number and sometimes there are long lines. we did not have a drop of rain and there were no mosquitos and it was hot. the beach was granual sand and a nice walk although not flat and the sand is sometime very hot.

Superb location & choice for AI in Oaxaca
Stayed in one of the jr suites with outside tub overlooking the bay on rooftop. Had an amazing time, in part thanks to Patricia at concierge who provided excellent service, helpful info and good conversation. Food can be hit or miss. I disliked Himitsu the most ("Asian cuisine") and liked Oceana the most (best dinner). Very nice, scenic, and chill AI resort. Would highly recommend for stays in this area.

First time to Huatulco
The staff throughout the entire resort is amazing. When you arrive you are greeted by extremely friendly staff, however I found Ariel to be exceptional. The resort isn’t huge but it has everything you need. The only one major draw back and/or complaint is that the local Mexican visitors are not friendly at all towards Non-Mexican visitors. The women especially seem to be very cold towards Caucasian males. I understand the resort has no control over this, but this is simply my opinion. If we decide to come back, it definitely won’t be in November.

Great resort made better because of Excellent staff!!
Excellent staff who make the visit an exceptional experience. Always smiling and offering help. Very clean!! General labour/pool worker Jeniro (sp) is the hardest worker at the resort and LUIS (pool Guy) is also a great worker. Activities team member Neftali is the best!!
