Dec 15, 2025Dreams Dominicus - A perfect getaway to relax, and unwind
Just finished a week's Fit Stay at Dreams Dominicus! The resort is absolutely breathtaking! Immaculately clean. We had a basic room that was over 500 sq. ft., Impressive for just a basic room. It was situated in the middle of the resort and tucked away, which made it both convenient to the pools, beach, and restaurants, while also providing a quiet atmosphere in the evening. We upgraded to Preferred status, which opened up the opportunity for an additional pool, two more beach access locations, and two more restaurants. This was a great value for the service. It also came with our own private concierge, who was available via WhatsApp for anything we needed. Daniel Rosario was our concierge, and we was very attentive to our needs. I was there as part of Fitness Vacation Exchange, teaching Pilates for the week. What a fabulous experience. I was directed to the E-Team (Entertainment Team) upon check-in. While my contact was not available, the staff was so helpful in guiding me in the right direction, even inviting me to attend their staff meeting! That made me feel very welcomed and included. This resort has so much to offer its guests in terms of exercise, fun, and nightly entertainment. Guests can start their day with yoga, Pilates, or stretching on the beautiful covered pier. They can participate in a variety of games and water exercises throughout the day, and finish the evening with a fabulous themed show! And if guests are looking for something a little quieter in the evening, they have plenty of small pockets to just relax and listen to music - the lobby lounge was a great place for this! This resort had so many restaurants to choose from. I love breakfast, and I was never disappointed with my favorite meal of the day! Dinner options were plentiful, offering buffet-style or sit-down options. We enjoyed the Hibachi restaurant and the Preferred beach restaurant (order the Angus Steak)! If you have picky eaters, have no fear, there is something for everyone! Finally, let's talk about the weather! If you are thinking of going to the DR in December, do it! It was 85 during the day and 75 in the evenings. If you are thinking of a vacation at Dreams Dominicus, book it, you won't be disappointed!

Highly Recommended!
We LOVED our stay at this hotel and can’t recommend it enough! The entertainment team was absolutely amazing - especially Jazmin and Gabriella. They were so fun, friendly, and full of positive energy, and really made each day exciting. There were nonstop activities in the sea, on the beach, and in the pool, plus live music all the time - you will never be bored here! The food was delicious with a huge variety every day, something for everyone. The cleaning crew was outstanding and truly made us feel at home - everything was always perfectly clean and well taken care of. The beach is absolutely beautiful with clear water and no seaweed, which was a huge plus and made our beach days perfect. The kids club (Explorer’s club) was a lifesaver and made our vacation even more enjoyable. I left my 4-year-old son there every day, and he was always happy and excited to go back. A very special thank you to Nathy and Yafre for their kindness and amazing care. This hotel exceeded our expectations in every way - perfect for families and adults alike. We can’t wait to come back! 🌴✨

great experience
I had an amazing stay at Dreams Dominicus La Romana! The beach was beautiful and so relaxing, and the entertainment staff truly made the trip unforgettable. Domingo was especially kind and welcoming, and everyone on the team was so fun, energetic, and friendly. They kept the vibes high every day.

The good stuff: Nice location with very nice beaches and clear blue water . Your ideal Caribbean vacation perception . You can literally lie at the beach the whole day under protected semi transparent shelter to work on your tan and get a good rest with great beach activities . The not so good stuff : -It is an all inclusive resort - meaning everything is about quantity and not quality . The food was lots but very bad and bland - everything was not nice whether the buffet or the snake services . The drinks were diluted . -The facilities are badly aging - the sink was stuck, the lights didn’t work on the first room we stayed. We asked to change room and it took a long time to get that sorted . Services especially room service was very slow . - you had to ignore the hard sell . They call you at 0900hrs to upsell you stuff at your room when you just want to chill , the upsell is everywhere. Frankly I am pretty disappointed with Hyatt brand for having a resort like this with poor facilities . I do not know if it is an American thing but the Hyatt properties are much better in Asia in terms of service and facilities . Would I return to this resort should I visit Dominican Republic ? Answer is flat no !

Five stars!
Five stars all around! Beach is amazing. Service is outstanding. Food is good. Hotel is clean and rooms are clean and comfortable. Adriana- preferred club check in. On check in Adriana was kind, friendly and knowledgeable. She knew we had a long travel day and got us checked into our room quickly and walked us to our room. She recognized us as repeat guests also. Juanito did a superb job cleaning our room. Everything was perfect! Julia- at the preferred club beach was friendly and provided us with excellent service each day. She remembered us from previous visits! Nelson- Bali bed concierge. Nelson provided amazing service at the Bali beds. He was always smiling and exceeded our expectations with service. Welyn- excellent service at the preferred beach restaurant. He remembered our drink orders and provided us with the best service! We kept returning to the restaurant for his exceptional service! Felix- at the preferred club beach restaurant greeted us each morning and was friendly and provided excellent service. We will be returning.
