Underwhelmed - for a holiday season booking
Just did not meet my expectations versus other comparable resorts largely due to quality and choices of food and customer service not at par. Cleanliness should’ve improved around public areas and bars.

Disappointed traveler
We were deeply disappointed with our recent stay at your resort. As frequent travelers who vacation multiple times a year, we were genuinely looking forward to our time at Dreams Curaçao. Unfortunately, our experience fell far below expectations in several areas, many of which reflect issues that should be well within the resort’s control. Upon arrival, we immediately noticed that the lobby bathroom stalls had no functioning locks, which is both inconvenient and unacceptable for a resort of your brand. During our visit to Portofino, no staff member ever came to serve us, despite our waiting. At the Barefoot Grill, the tables were left dirty with food, attracting birds and creating an unsanitary environment. Our room experience was equally disappointing. Housekeeping did not clean our room daily, and on the days it was cleaned, the job was done poorly. The air filter was visibly dirty, and after sleeping in the bed, I woke up with bites on my skin. Additionally, the mattress was extremely firm, and due to my back issues, I slept very poorly throughout the stay. The sliding glass shower door did not close properly, causing water to leak onto the bathroom floor. Around the resort, we encountered several other concerns. The Rendezvous Bar had a persistent sour odor, and the majority of staff members we interacted with were not friendly, which made the atmosphere feel unwelcoming. The restaurant options were extremely limited, with only one open at times, leaving us with virtually no dining choices. New Year’s Eve, which we had hoped would be a highlight, was also underwhelming. Although there were multiple performers, many of the same songs were repeated, and the entertainment overall did not meet the standard we expected. We ended up leaving early and watching the fireworks from our balcony instead. Overall, this was the worst resort experience we have ever had, which is especially disappointing given the reputation of the Dreams brand. We chose Dreams Curaçao with confidence, but the number of issues we encountered made our stay far from enjoyable.

Caribbean cisit
The most important aspect of this trip was that the staff were able to be very flexible and attentive to the needs of the travelers

Good for what we needed
Overall, my mom and I had a good stay. Most of the staff were friendly, especially the waitstaff and the entertainment team. The restaurant servers were by far the most pleasant. The front desk and café staff were a bit mixed—some were very helpful and friendly, while others seemed less welcoming or knowledgeable. The food was hit or miss. We weren’t overly impressed with the buffets, but we went with the flow. Dining options were limited during our stay, as Portofino and Craft Iguana were closed most nights. The app also showed Seaside Grill as open, but we couldn’t find it, and staff gave us different answers about its location. The resort map and signage could definitely use updating—especially since the hot tub was very hidden as well. One tip for future guests: don’t leave your food unattended, especially outdoors. The birds are very bold and will swoop in and help themselves—we learned that the hard way once! We downloaded the app to keep track of daily activities, but several events we were looking forward to didn’t actually happen. We were told to rely on the activity board instead, though even then some activities didn’t take place. It felt a bit unorganized, but we did enjoy the aquafit classes and a painting class. We’re not big drinkers, but if pool or beach drink service is important to you, this may not be the resort for you. We were only asked once during our entire stay if we wanted a drink. The casino also didn’t feel like a strong selling point, as it seemed more geared toward locals. We were excited to play Bingo on Christmas Day, but it was entirely in Papiamentu. What we really loved was that the resort is small and not overcrowded. We were able to get beach or pool chairs every day by going early. The beach itself is small but lovely—some mornings we had the water all to ourselves, which was very peaceful. The rooms are basic but comfortable. The bed was great, and we had a beautiful view, which mattered most to us. This isn’t a five-star, activity-packed all-inclusive resort, but we made the best of it and enjoyed our time together.

Hotel-yes, food- no!! All inclusive?!?!
We have come here for the last 4 years, but sadly the restaurant situation was bad last year, and even worse this year. We come from Dec 27-Jan 3 and even though they advertise 7 restaurants, there are only 4, and this trip every day only one- maybe 2 restaurants were even open. The wait times were hours long, and you can't make any reservations unless you are a preferred member. Horrible management. They couldn't even tell you what restaurants would be open from one day to the next. You expect more from an All-inclusive, but maybe they feel 'you can eat, just not when you want...' Nice hotel, but we probably won't be back.
