  Great staff, Nice resort, Need work, terrible food

  Staff is great. Resort is nice. The room air conditioning did not work. The food was terrible. Overall the experience was average.

  A much needed vacation.

  Please consider that we went with a large group (~55 people) including family (with children) and friends for a 7-day all-inclusive experience. Location (10/10) The resort is perfectly placed close enough to enjoy a day downtown (Willemstad) and also catch many other great attractions in Curacao: flamingo habitat, turtle beach, caves, pig beach, and great local cuisine restaurants. Oh did I forget to mention the resort has a private beach that's perfect for snorkeling or just looking at the fish while you're standing in the crystal clear shallow water? Entertainment (10/10) The staff put on great show after great show each night we were there. From dancing, singing, music (dj), magic, and getting the crowd involved in some fun playfulness, there was always something to look forward to at the end of each night. Activities (10/10) The staff were amazing. They were knowledgeable and patient when guests were having trouble in many activities including: Bingo, Pool Aerobics, Painting, Ping Pong, Famous Faces, Tennis, Batting Cages, Learn Spanish. As a bonus, they were also highly skilled athletes when the volleyball games got competitive (good games Alex, Piloto, Livy, and Norbel). Would love for Hyatt / Dreams to invest more into upkeep of these amenities (ping pong tables, volleyball net, etc.). Explorer's Club (10/10) While we were sceptical at first, entrusting our kids to Sabina and Mary was one of the best decisions. Not only did that allow for my wife and I and the rest of the family to get done much needed rest and actual vacation time, but the kids had an absolute blast. They have an indoor rock climbing wall, outdoor playground, and so many activities catered to children of different ages including movie nights, mini spa, painting/arts & crafts, pool party, and more. The staff showed us how to use the app to safely register our children and provide us with the comfort of knowing that only children were allowed inside the facility and that parents would receive buzzers that would go off in the event that you need to be notified of an emergency. No issues occurred here during our stay. Rooms & Housekeeping (7/10) Keep in mind that we were with quite a large group so this review is meant to cover a large variety of good and bad things. If there was something I think could be improved on, it's the rooms and housekeeping. Dreams does have the right accommodations for a guest traveling to the Caribbean. However, there were instances where the staff had to provide new rooms for guests who were impacted by any issues (A/C, shower, key card reader, etc.). Additionally, the housekeeping was hit or miss. More consistency here would be well received.

  Won't be going back there.

  Curacao was nice, but I don't think I'll be visiting this resort again. The AC was spotty at best. The bathrooms are small. The rooms looked much bigger online then in actuality. Be careful of the bugs - you can't see them but you definitely feel them.

  Il Mare

  Overall, we had a great time Loved the accessibility to the ocean and ocean front room The pods are not well insulated so you can hear a lot going on outside. Air-conditioning worked well. The bed was very comfortable Room layout was a little weird with separated sinks. Food at Il Mare Was decent service was a little slow Food at dreams was average buffet was pretty bad. Dinner at Oceana was fabulous Drinks at Il Marr pool was great. Loved the Adults only section and will probably come back The original dream hotel needs a remodel apparently the air air-conditioning was out most of the week. we also went over to Zoetry and ate dinner and breakfast. The food over there was great, but it is a very small resort.

  Worst Resort every

  Poor service. Room old and subpar. Restaurant service terrible. Food cold. Very Very slow. Under staffed and not knowledgeable. I would not recommend this resort
