  Overpriced for the over all experience

  The island is beautiful and very hot! We had a stunning ocean view room and it's the main reason I have given this hotel 3 stars. The balcony was lovely. Most people working there look like they really hate their jobs and have no clue about customer service for people paying a high price to have a vacation there. Our room and the room next to us both had things stolen by the staff. Management doesn't acknowledge the theft problem. The buffet food was not great the a la cartes were a lot better but not spectacular. Service was mostly very slow. The Management lies to you by saying that they are working on the air conditioning when in fact they are not and it's never working the whole time you are there. We never made it below 72 °F in our room. It made for an uncomfortable sleep. That is not air conditioning to us. The beds/ bedding are nice. The room itself has a mildew odor that permeates your belongings and is still on your things when you get home. The bathroom was a complete disaster with water leaking from the ceiling every night, a bathroom door so bloated and warped that it won't close. The entertainment leaves a lot to be desired most nights. Some was good though. Air Canada Vacations rates this hotel at five stars, IT IS NOWHERE NEAR 5 STARS! It's very expensive to stay here for what you get. Not worth it unless some major repairs and renovations happens and they hire staff who want the job and know how to do it well and get rid of the thieves.

  Worst Resort Experience in Decades of Traveling

  I was utterly appalled by Dreams Curaçao Resort, Spa & Casino. My room was filthy—especially the bathroom—and did not meet even basic resort cleanliness standards. I couldn’t believe a hotel could allow such conditions. Kelly, the supervisor on duty, completely ignored my complaint and refused to let me speak to a manager. I was dismissed and humiliated in the lobby, with other guests watching as I pleaded about a room that was unsafe and unsanitary. It wasn’t until I threatened to post the horrifying photos online that anyone finally acted. The manager moved me to another room, but it was barely any better. The food and beverage experience was equally unacceptable. Breakfast was fine, but lunch and dinner were poorly prepared, limited in options, and served in cluttered, unhygienic areas. Drinks were often watered down, too sweet, and lacked premium liquor. The dining environment felt unsanitary, with flies present during meals. Staff interactions were disappointing at best—many were unfriendly, unhelpful, and showed no empathy when issues were raised. Common areas were neglected, and maintenance appeared minimal. Overall, the resort felt completely uncared for. This was, without question, the worst hotel experience of my years of traveling. The negligence, disrespect, and lack of accountability were shocking. I would not recommend this resort to anyone. Total disgrace.

  Great vacation!

  My friend Kate was the guest yoga and aqua fitness instructor for 3 weeks at your resort. She graciously invited me to spend the last week with her! Curaçao is a beautiful island and the people follow suit! We had a lovely spacious room overlooking the ocean- the housekeeping staff took very good care of us! The nightly entertainment was varied and fun with plenty of top notch talent!We found the restaurants to be quite good with plenty of variety offered. No shortage of bars with David at the pool bar being our favorite bartender! He took great pride in every cocktail he crafted and always served with a smile and kind word! Everyone really enjoyed Kate’s classes including me!

  Nice view

  nice view the amenities are nice however don't expect the typical dreams look. The rooms and bathrooms were a little older a rundown. The food was good for the most part. the view was the highlight of the Resort

  IL Mare Is a Dream

  We celebrated our 32nd Anniversary on Curacao from and stayed at the Dreams Curacao Resort, Spa & Casino -Il Mare section from Nov 10th-15th, 2025. These are the white capsules that you can see from the Dreams and are in a great location, as they sit no more than 10 meters from the beach. Part of the experience when you stay in the Il Mare section is that you are provided with a butler service whom you stay in contact with via Whatsapp, in addition, you have access to the Il Mare amenities (Battolino), private pool, easy access to snorkel, and a bar. In addition, you have access to Dreams (has a beach) and Zoetry (doesn't have a beach) specialty restaurants and their amenities. Keep in mind that there is ice cream, coffee and sandwiches available at the Coco Cafe/gift shop. The only issue that we experienced was on Thursday, when the Dreams buffet (it is the only buffet amongst the three properties) was shut down on Thursday night, which caused a major logjam on the specialty restaurants at both Dreams and Zoetry, and we were fortunate that we went to dinner before a large majority of the guests so we didn't get caught in the log jam. Dreams has an excursion desk in their lobby, there is a golf cart that will take you from Dreams, IL Mare to Zoetry and back (you can call for pick up), and wristbands are not used whatsoever. Your butlers can make reservations at the restaurants for you. I do recommend to stay at Il Mare because you just can't beat the beachfront location, in addition to the mini-fridge always being filled for you (and a bottle of Curacao waiting for you), and the patio access from your room where you can lounge, watch the waves and boats pass as you smoke a cigar and watch the beautiful sunsets. if you are up early enough, you can see the cruise ships as they arrive.
