Dreams Resort, Spa and Casino NOT RECOMMENDED

The beautiful weather and refreshing daily breeze made for the perfect island experience. We especially enjoyed our ocean view room, which was one of our best. The variety of group physical activities—led by a truly engaging and talented fitness team—added so much to our stay. The team's energy was outstanding from yoga and stretching to Zumba, water aerobics, and arts and crafts. A special thanks to Jessica and Giselle who made our stay so enjoyable. Their contributions to the nightly entertainment were also impressive, with captivating international cultural and magical performances. However, we want to share some significant concerns regarding the resort experience. 1. Guest Services Disorganization (two stars): We found the division of services between the front desk, the Amstar team, and the preferred guest desks confusing and inefficient. Often, we were redirected from one team to another, depending on the nature of our request. A centralized point of contact—or at the very least, clear communication in the trip details outlining where to go for specific needs—would significantly improve the guest experience. As preferred customers, we did not receive our complimentary beach bag. 2. Food and Dining Experience (two stars): Unfortunately, the quality of the food was a major disappointment. The Italian restaurant offered highly processed meals that tasted like pre-packaged or frozen items (e.g., canned watery tomato soup, low-quality lasagna, and frozen pizza). While the antipasto bar was enjoyable, it was the only bright spot. Oceana’s seafood was underwhelming, with bland preparation of otherwise fresh ingredients. We found slightly better options at the morning buffet and the restaurant near the bar and grill. Access to restaurants at nearby properties such as Zoëtry or Renaissance would have been a great enhancement, but we were told that wasn’t an option. 3. Rental Car Experience and Island Exploration (two stars): One of the most significant issues that affected our enjoyment of Curaçao was the lack of support from Amstar regarding the rental car. We were excited to tour the island, but were not given any guidance on accessing local maps or navigation tools. We struggled to use Google Maps without internet access and only later found out about Waze and MAPS.ME—information that came too late in the day to allow for meaningful exploration. When we returned the car, the Amstar rep (Jamil) insisted we ask for help. While we understand self-advocacy is important, it seems reasonable that basic instructions or recommendations for offline navigation tools should be standard information provided to all renters, particularly international guests who may not have reliable data access. While we appreciate Vanessa at the front desk for attempting to help by connecting with Jamil and organizing transportation to Hato Caves, this assistance came after we had already lost valuable time. A little upfront support would have made a significant difference in our experience. Unfortunately, due to the dining and service issues, we cannot recommend Dreams Resort and regret the negative aspects of our stay. Sharing this feedback is essential to inform future guests and encourage improvements. We would appreciate hearing how you will address these concerns. Sincerely, Monica and Page

    Relax with some great entertainment

We had an amazing time at this resort. Ms. Amarylis Magdalena was very nice on the phone when I was asking questions about our reservation. If you have kids I would highly recommend staying here, it is safe for them to play and have fun. The entertainment was amazing, great staff, the food was okay. Our favorite waiter was Mr. Dennis Americaan at Seaside Grill Restaurant. For keeping the quality of this resort high I would recommend some Maintenance of the rooms and the kiddie pool area. Our bathroom ceiling was leaking, so we had to put a towel on the floor. Other than that, we had an amazing time and would definitely visit again.

    A quiet piece of pardise

Despite in need of some TLC, the resort was a great getaway with our own small beach, great pool, lovely staff and always entertainment to keep us busy, there were times we didn't want to even leave the resort. The location is great, if you rent a car, you can get around very easily and it's close to the city and major locations. The view was always the best part as our room faced the sea. Once the improvements are made, I'm sure my rating would go up. Will still want to return either way.

    Stay Away at all cost

Bathroom Shower wasn't working properly. Toilet flush wasn't working as well. we had to keep pulling chain to flush. Room cleaning service wasn't done in timely manner. Upon arrival, room wasn't ready until 5pm. we had keep telling to fill minibar. Not enough outlet, lights, fan in the room. Employees are very lazy and laid back. Buffet we had to ask for fork and knife every single time. During breakfast, we had to get our own coffee and water. There was no table service provide. Glasses were not cleaned. Everyday same bland food. Employees looked overworked, not smiling. There is no dinner buffet. Specialty restaurants had same food everyday. No options for vegetarian food. Fishes and Chicken dishes were over cooked. In Italian Dinner, no one filling up the salad bar even though we spoke to employee. Oceana, there were empty tables but they didn't let us sit. Felt like they were helping only selected guests and as well as through out resort. Same food everyday. Service was terrible. Wait was over and 1 hour. Getting food was more that 45mins. soup was cold every time. Salad bar wasn't filled. waiter try to ignore, no eye contact.
