    No recomendable

The hotel is not finished it looks dirty, the food is not great, it took me 1 hour to check in, they removed our towels and didn’t bring new, no tissues, the fridge was half empty, they left an open Bacardi bottle, the beach front was clean and beautiful

    Stay away. Go somewhere else.

I suggest you stay away from this resort. The customer service is lacking and so are the amenities. The food is mediocre at best. You are better off staying somewhere else.

    Loved it!

We stayed from August 5 to August 9, and it was my husband, my nine-year-old son, and I—our first stay at this hotel and in the Cozumel area. Our original stay was booked at Sunscape, but due to construction, they moved us to a Preferred Junior Suite King Bed Pool View at the Dreams. Overall, our stay was pleasant, and there was not much to complain about. I do elaborate on my cons a little more. I did complain before leaving the hotel about them. One advantage is that the resort is relatively small, allowing you to walk across it in under 10 minutes. They have a lot of ADA ramps everywhere, so I saw some people in wheelchairs. I don't know why I noticed that, but I did. To move between the resorts along the beach, they have a pathway to walk on, which I thought was friendly and accessible. Snorkeling and kayaking are included for one hour every day with your stay. The gear is at a booth located near the Sunscape along the pathway on the beach. All of the restaurants were good! We went to the Olio-Mediterranean, Mexican, the Pizzeria, and the buffet. Overall, we went to a different restaurant every day except one day because the buffet was closed. There was a stretching instructor at the beach whom I attended three out of the five days I was there. It was excellent! There was no chair game at this resort. Every single chair was occupied by someone who was watching the kids at the pool. We did one of the tours through Amstar, and it was fabulous! It did rain, but we made the most of it. We used our coupons from the upgrade talk and ended up paying only for one person! This trip, my son stayed at the kids' club. He loved all the activities, and it seemed like they were the only ones who constantly had the AC on. They do have a regular schedule and a rainy-day schedule. I do have to warn that after my son went, he did not want to hang out with us anymore 🙁 Cons were that the rooms were very humid, even with the AC on, and everything seemed moist while we were there—the clothes and the floors. There is MAJOR construction next door where the Sunscape was. They are literally taking down the Sunscape, and in the room where we were at 3525, you could hear the jackhammers going. I was at the beach by the snorkeling booth, and you could listen to them there too. So, if construction bothers you, I'd say wait to book until the construction is done. The UVC rep mentioned that it would take about a year. For us, there were two occasions where the construction sounds bothered us. One morning, they woke my husband up at 8 am. Another day, while we were in the room at 4 pm, we could still hear the construction going on. I have not seen any hotel close down the buffet so far in any of my stays, so we did not try the buffet for dinner. The mosquitoes were super bad! It rained on one of the days, creating a more mosquito-friendly environment. It is the rainy season (May to October) in Cozumel; keep that in mind. The hotel staff had mosquito repellent available in the common areas, and they would distribute it during the evenings. There was a lack of signage, which would have been helpful due to the construction. There isn't much entertainment at this resort, but there is Secrets next door. Overall, I noticed a few things at the hotel. There was only one pool, and all of the kids who stayed at the resort were in there! EVERY SINGLE KID! This is truly a family resort. I saw many people coming over from the Secrets and vice versa. EVERYONE seemed to wake up past 10 am every day and dinner past 7:30-8 pm! I am an early bird, so I noticed that there was no one at 8 am when I was up. The UVC reps were not overly aggressive in trying to sell you the membership. Roxana was super excellent! She checked on us every day, even on her days off! We didn't get a banner when we arrived, but she made sure we got one. We went to Secrets once because my husband wanted top-shelf drinks, but we didn't explore much. I did not go to the spa because the prices seemed excessive for spa services.

NOT 5 STAR - horrible service

This was our fourth overall trip to Dreams (Puerto Vallarta 2002, Tulum - 2008, Cancun - 2024, Cozumel-2025) and this was by far the most unexpected experience and I doubt that we will stay at any Dreams again. Although the resort was in decent shape and the room was spacious and comfortable, the customer service received was horrendous. It took two days of requests (both phone calls and written notes to housekeeping with a $5 tip) for the balcony to be swept clean of bird poop so we could use it. We did not receive any sort of consistent refilling of the mini fridge. When we left a fridge request, the housekeeping staff took the note with our request and another $5 tip and pocketed it not letting the individual who is responsible for the fridge refills know of our request. Food is VERY limited for children. You can order room service 24/7, but most of the time you must repeat call the room service line for 15-30 minutes before someone answers. This is very frustrating with a hungry child, and this particular Dreams location didn't even have a shop of any sort where you could buy snacks along with Dreams branded products. THIS IS NOT A 5 STAR HOTEL! On the flip side, although the beach is a bit rocky/reefy when entering, you can see an awesome abundance of marine life right offshore snorkeling.

Not worth the money, horrible experience, Resort is run down and horrible food.

Do not waste your money. This resort is run down, food is horrible and has no flavor, it is a timeshare scam and I have never been so disappointed. Heidi was the only good thing about the resort. We had no hot water in our shower, the AC had water dripping from the unit and we had to replace the towel daily if not more. We asked to be moved, after the maintenance staff had to get supervisor but they never returned, and they told us they could not move us. This was a waist of our money and disappointing because it was our friends first all inclusive resort and her 50th Birthday. We stayed at Dreams/Secrets in Puerto Vallarta and is was an amazing experience. The resort was top shelf with a private bar, eating area and butler for the Preferred customers. Plus our own area to check in. We met some wonderful people but this resort certain staff who are like used car salesman. Disgusting, lying and rude to your face. The front desk lady was especially rude to my husband when he was telling her, again, that our AC was leaking. I wish I could get my money back. We will never return. I am telling all my friends, friends at work and family to stay away and don't waste your money. I especially told my boss because she travels the world.
