Awesome choice for our family!
Our family of 4 (2 teenage sons) had an amazing time at the Dreams Bahia Mita! We've been to a few other Dreams resorts (Cancun, Costa Rica) and will definitely be coming back to this one! Such an awesome vacation!! We were greeted upon arrival with a nice cool cloth and our bags were collected by the friendly bellmen. Check in was smooth and we were quickly brought to our room on the second floor. We spend very little time in our rooms, really only go to sleep, so we are fine to sleep in a non-upgraded room. We very pleased with the level of cleanliness, the mini bar options, the comfortable beds. The decor was aesthetically pleasing and the room was spacious and inviting. Rooms were cleaned daily, and the mini bar was topped up. There is construction at a neighboring property, but our room faced in the opposite direction, so this was a non-issue for us. The resort is extremely clean and is well maintained. The resort is stunning. The location is tranquil, with only one neighboring resort. The views are unbeatable. The beach is beautiful, although rocky, and may be a challenge if you had young children for swimming. We did some paddleboarding, guided by Jaime - this was a fantastic experience. We really enjoyed walking the beach daily - it is very quiet. The sunsets are top notch. And the whale watching from shore - sooooo cool!! We enjoyed amazing beverage service at the Family Pool from Paty. She is so friendly and we really enjoyed our visits with her. Very prompt and attentive service. Ivan also was our waiter a few days at the Family Pool, and he also provided great service. We were fortunate to be able to sneak away to the Sky Bar (Preferred Lounge) and the staff up there are fantastic, as well. The drinks and ambiance are amazing on the 8th floor! Also, no complaints from the staff in the Waterpark area - all friendly and courteous. Victor at the beach is fantastic as well. The service at this resort is just awesome. 10 out of 10!! The food is really, really good. We ate at the buffet every morning, but there are other options for breakfast, if you want a more quiet cafe-style environment. We also ate once at the buffet for supper. We were very pleased with the variety and quality. Thank you to Elsa at the buffet for the excellent service. We also ate at Nebbiolo twice, and were served both times by Santiago. Once again, the service and food was great. We frequented Seaside Grill twice for supper, served once by Gabiano, and by another staff member on night 2. Again, excellent food and great service. Meraki was also a cool experience - the Teppanyaki chef (sorry, I forgot his name) was so nice and so funny. Food at both the Waterpark and Family Pools is great, casual fare. The chef taking orders at Barefoot Grill and the lady taking orders at Tacoyotl (Daphne?) do a great job!! Overall, we were pleased with the quality and variety of the food, and with the team who prepare and serve the food. Ohhhh ... and the Mexican Fiesta ... oh my goodness, what a gastronomy!! Such a huge effort goes into preparing this, and it was delicious. We really enjoyed the enterainment put on by the Entertainment Crew. We went to the Rock Show - awesome band, amazing dancers - and to the Fire Show - I mean, just wow! And the Mexican Fiesta had a great Mariachi Band and Folklore Dancing. We did some Karaoke, played some pickleball, paddleboarded, danced and did aerobics in the pool, played Loteria, and the kids smashed some volleyballs and played water polo. The Entertainment Crew are so friendly! Adiel, Fabian, Sofia - you guys rock! We had so much fun just being silly with you guys! Your energy is fantastic! Can't wait to come back next year! Thank you to all the fabulous staff at Dreams Bahia Mita - you made our trip such a memorable experience. Next time, we plan on bringing our older sons with their families.

Excellent service but not necessarily a restful vacation
I recently stayed at Dreams Bahia Mita Surf & Spa Resort, and overall we had an enjoyable experience. The service was excellent from start to finish. The staff was friendly, attentive, and always willing to help, which made a big difference in our stay. The food was also very good across the resort’s restaurants. A special shoutout to Tacolytl where we ate lunch almost every day — it was a standout for us. My son loved the waterpark (opens at 11 a.m each day) and spent a little time in the teenclub as well which he thought was fun. We would have liked to try ziplining at the resort but thought the $150 USD per person was pretty steep for 1 hour. That said, there were a couple of downsides. The beds were extremely firm — honestly, hard as a rock — which made it difficult to get comfortable at night. Additionally, the room layout wasn’t ideal. The hotel rooms are located along very long hallways, and noise really carries. You could hear people talking loudly all day and into the early morning hours, which took away from the otherwise relaxing atmosphere. We had a room on the 6th floor overlooking the waterpark which happens to connect to 2 of the resort restaurants and I would definitely suggest you don't choose this floor. I would hope a floor up or down might be better but its not a resort you can expect to rest and have naps. For this reason I'd hesitate to come back as we all didn't feel rested by the end of our trip.

Eleven out of 10
First time here at the Bahia dreams after our travel agent friend told us about it. At first we were all skeptical as we couldn’t find many reviews on this part of Punta Mita. Today is our last day here and we can’t recommend more about his place. Our favorite spot is the tides pool where kids just rides the water slide all day long. And special shout to our server Anaya who was great!

Not the Luxury Experience I was Expecting
I was disappointed overall with my experience at Dreams Bahia Mita. The hotel wants to be luxury but the food and drinks are not luxury. Most of the pools are only mid thigh deep, forcing you to crawl around in the pool to become submerged. The hotel has lots of live entertainment and music that plays late into the night, which is great if you are out at the bar. This is not so great if you are wanting to go to sleep before midnight and you can hear the music through the wall. I was impressed with the staff and how attentive they are. In particular Gabby at check in was very kind.
