Fantastic Stay at Bahia Mita
Arrival/Departure staff: We were contacted via email by Vanessa Sanchez, UVC, prior to our arrival and she set a very positive tone for our stay. We stayed in contact when we knew we’d be delayed and everything was ready when we checked in. We were assigned Gabby, she accompanied us to our room, making sure each morning we received the update of events and we had everything we needed. We thank the staff for our birthday celebrations (January) and we had two nights of small cakes delivered and a birthday banner on the door! Check out was smooth and easy. Room: We booked a jungle view and were so pleased when upgraded to partial ocean view Room 2417 with an amazingly extra large balcony overlooking the whole resort. The room was restocked daily, kept immaculate and cleaned perfectly. We only had turn down service on the last night. Food: Overall food was good. We enjoyed Nebbiolo with our server Trenochi who was so pleasant. Seaside Grill was very enjoyable in the evening with Eduardo. We had to try several times, but long waits to get into Portofino and finally on our last night, we got a table. Food was very good and our wait staff, Pablo and David, were very attentive, making the dinner very enjoyable. The Tacoyotl Taqueria is fantastic and the staff are amazing at the speed and quality of the tacos & burritos prepared! The Mexican Fiesta held in the outdoor plaza was superb with the quantity and quality of food – it was a great evening. The only food which was not impressive was at the Preferred Pool 8th floor – it was very bland and not of good quality considering the gorgeous seating area. Dreams Preferred Bar: Shout out to Ismael who was fun to speak with and made great drinks. Entertainment: We enjoyed the evening events from the silent disco, band playing at the Secrets bar and the Rock band show at the amphitheater. The Mexican fiesta show was excellent! Beach: We spent everyday at the beach and were amazed with the whale watching. The beach bar server Victor was always there to take care of us and made sure we had what we needed. Ephran was spectacular when he brought cold hand towels and spa spray to cool us down…what a special touch for beach service! Preferred Pool: We did not use the 6th floor but did use the 8th floor. It was amazing! The beverage staff made great drinks and special thanks to Sheyla bring us wet towels and spa spray to cool us off one very hot afternoon.

Mostly good, but…..
Currently staying for the first time. Food is very good, service is very good. They layout is not very intuitive, you have to walk down all sorts of long hallways and take certain elevators to get to certain parts of the resort, we are still getting our bearings, not a place for those that get easily lost! The one thing that is really bothering me is the reserved cabanas/chairs surrounding most of the pool areas. They require a extra charge and there are some sections of pool where the only sitting offered is this cabana style seating, so we can’t even sit and watch our kids without being hassled about a whether or not we rented the chairs, oh I should add there hasn’t been a single one actually rented the past 2 days, they are sitting EMPTY but I’m not allowed to sit there for 10 minutes and watch my kids because they are “reserved”. Las Vegas does that stuff too and it boils my blood to pay all this money and be told I can’t sit in the shade next to the pool and there are no not other chairs even provided. Scrap the cabanas for the sake of your “all inclusive” experience!

Outstanding food and Service
Another outstanding trip in the books ! This was our 4th visit and it won’t be our last. We were a party of 8 and had a great time! Loved all of the restaurants and sky bar . Highly recommend renting a cabana on the 8th floor. Shout out to UVC Jorge for making our week extra special ❤️. It was great to connect with Gabby and Jacob again . We met them in Costa Rica in May. A special thank you to Julio and Mario in the Sky bar for keeping us hydrated all week. Till next time ……
