Relaxing business vacation
Beautiful location, enjoyed watching the whales from the beach. Multiple pools and hot tubs, multiple restaurants and cafes to meet your needs. Beach was small, but with the multiple pools on property, it helped to distribute the crowd. Room was clean. Property well maintained.

We came, we saw, but…?
Pro’s: Great rooms, clean, in good condition, maid service was AA+. Even Garden view room was nice…quiet and peaceful. Food was really good at all restaurants. Service was very good too. Pool service was very good, lots of chairs, towels and really good drink service. Check in desk currency(Peso’s) exchange was very good, always had lots of smaller bills for exchange. Weather was wonderful for our 7 days. Cons: Check in. After a relatively quick and efficient check in we were on our way to our room, stopped by Secrets sales person and shaken down for an upgrade to Secrets… not happy! Paid good $$ for Dreams, don’t need to be made felt like I should spend more for a “better”vacation??? Beach was a disappointment…dead ends each direction, rocky and not suitable for anything safe...( Saw some whales breach though). It’s a huge resort, lots of walking required and kinda confusing to get around. Westjet Nexxus rep was hard to pin down, always tied up with groups. 65th birthday celebration, we paid $50US for too big a cake that we could only eat half…(7 people). The other half was wasted. We came, we saw, but learned a huge “Club Resort” is not for us.

Dreams Bahia Mita Jan 2026 Preferred Club
We had such a lovely stay at Dreams Bahia Mita, preferred club. The staff there are so friendly and really made our experience, here are a few shoot outs! Fabiola - Sky bar (best bartender ever!) Daphne - our favourite server at tacoyotyl and breakfast buffet Jamie - excellent paddle board tour guide Osvaldo - incredibly talented teppenyaki chef There was excellent food and beverages all over the resort, good food is very important to us. The resort itself is very beautiful and new and clean. The beds are also very comfortable. The beach is very nice, including the sand, too bad there isn’t more shade on the beach though because it’s difficult to stay in the shade for more than a couple hours with how the umbrellas are set out. There are a couple things that the resort could improve upon, including, design of the resort has created very long hallways that have a hard surface on all sides. Having something soft to absorb sound would do really well here. Also, we found the entertainment to be lacking in all parts of the resort. Some live music playing covers would have been nice, as we have seen at other resorts.

Fun Family Vacation!
We’ve recently returned from a family trip at Dreams Bahia Mita. We travelled as a family of 4, and from the moment you arrive, they make you feel welcomed! It is extremely breath taking and we were all in awe!! We paid for a preferred club room and felt that our room was in an excellent location (level2) it was nice and central between the pools and the restaurants. The view overlooked the ocean and watching the whales was such an added bonus! I miss it already!! There is construction of condos going on next door , but I felt the noise wasn’t a bother. The whole resort is spotless, and you know they take pride in keeping everything fresh and clean! We spent a lot of time up at the waterpark, there are 3 pools and restaurants and a food truck, which made it feel like a whole other resort! A special shout out to Sabino for providing excellent drink service and keeping all of us well hydrated! Finding chairs was super easy, both there and at the main pool areas. Our kids loved the Explorers club too aged (10/7) seemed like there was something for every age! Another special shout out goes to the preferred club bartenders Ismael, Roy and Manuel. They always went above and beyond to provide the best drinks! The only negatives I’d have to say is that they had a hard time with us telling them no when they tried to convince us to coming to listen to their Unlimited Vacation ‘spiel’. We kept telling the same guy no everytime he saw us out and about which was super annoying. Another thing is that although the beach is nice, I wouldn’t recommend swimming in the ocean there are rocks everywhere, and not all small, some the size of footballs 🏈 if not bigger.
