  Unexpected stay turned GREAT!

  We had checked into nearby resort only to find it was not what we expected so immediately checked out and went to Dreams. Our check in was speedy, considering we booked the room about 5 minutes before we got there! Excellent food at this resort, the only place we were not fond of was Seaside Grill - just meh. We stayed in a Preferred Club room so the extra services and access you get, for us, was worth it. Emilio our concierge was amazing. Always recognized us and was always helpful and friendly. Natali, concierge, was also great - always helpful and friendly. There was a restaurant host who sat us once at Oceana, I didn't catch his name, then days later he was at the buffet (World Cafe) and immediately recognized us. I feel those details are important, at least to us they are impressive! The spa was lovely - Nestor and Lucia both did a great job. Do recommend the spa. We also had a bali bed as part of the package we bought from Spa. While it was lovely and quiet out on the beach, we did feel service at the bed was lacking and probably would not do it again. Had a little issue with my locker - instruction was lacking here and had to find someone to open it for me at end of my service. I've stayed lots of places where they give you keys to the locker - love that versus entering a code that doesn't work later anyway! Even though we had access to Oceana for breakfast we did find we enjoyed the buffet for breakfast at World Cafe. We usually ate lunch at our pool chairs at Preferred Pool - you could order from the Manatees bar at the pool. Very nice service! I think being able to eat poolside is a great idea - It discourages people from drinking all day at the pool and not leaving to go eat! We ate at El Patio twice - excellent food! We absolutely love the location of the resort, inside the gated community of Puerto Aventuras. So easy to just walk out of the resort and walk to the marina for other entertainment and food. Beautiful area. Housekeeping works non-stop to keep the resort clean. Our room was always perfect and turn-down (which we love) was always provided. I've been to so many places that say they have turn-down but then you might get it once during your stay. They work constantly to keep all the common areas clean as well. We found the resort was a great value for what you get. We will definitely be going back! Hopefully we will find Emilio and Natali there when we return!

  The buffet dissapoint

  The buffet did not offer a good variety of food. Very few options. As a preffered club member, top shelf options were not available.

  We came to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary with 4 other friend/couples. Thoroughly enjoyed every day!!

  Everyone was so friend and helpful. Especially enjoyed the way the staff took time to talk with us and check in on us: Emilio, Myriam. And the service we received from Jazi, Anita, Juan, Diago, Alan, Ruben, was excellent!!

  Ok but nothing to run and tell mom about

  I had higher expectations. The resort itself could use some updating, it just felt old. The buffet and its options were below average. Specialty restaurants were better But I was traveling with a group of young kids, so the buffet was our preference. There were quite a few activities and entertainment, which I would rate as the higher of the experience. The staff was good and helpful but I won’t be going back. Food just didn’t do it for me.

  All the staff is amazing. Sebasthian, one of the events coordinators was very helpful and accommodated all of our needs. Alan the bell hop was very informative and extremely friendly. The resort was welcoming and made us feel like we were part of their family. We are definitely coming back and recommend this place for anyone.
