Dreams experience
Great experience overall. The animation by Willian was excellent. Would definitely recommend this hotel to a friend.

Food was very disappointing, staying any more than 4-5 days and you will struggle.
There is so much potential but a lack of basic training in some areas lets it down. The food was a huge let down. We booked this resort based on a recommendation and some trip advisor reviews. The staff on the whole were good and clearly very hard working as many of the staff at breakfast were also working the evening shifts in the restaurants. The check in process is purposefully slow and designed to force people to waste 30 minutes or so being forced to listen to the timeshare talk whilst all they want to do is get into their rooms. Avoid the guys in the dark blue t shirts at all costs unless you are genuinely interested in overpriced timeshares. There is no reason why you can not just check into your room especially if you get to the resort after 2PM. I saw some families waiting 2 hours+ to check in and loose their tempers because of this tactic. The room we stayed in was a Preferred Guest room and we had some minor teething problems with the fridge not working and the phone in the room not working (took 3 days to resolve). Also be warned they only provide a garment steamer in teh room which is pretty pointless as it does not iron clothes. We had to ask several times for an iron which we got eventually after a 3-4 days into our stay however we could not use it as they did not have an ironing table only a small table top thing that was far too small and there were no surfaces what we could use it on. It may sound petty but these are basics that you receive in most cheap hotels so should not have been an issue at a 5 start resort. Our other major bugbear was that the food was extremely disappointing. Clearly anyone who has rated the food offering highly and we have seen many reviews in TA and You Tube has never experienced decent hotels in Europe and may be used to American junk food. Every meal was far too salty apart from the teppanyaki table. The basics of service were lacking and in the French, Italian and Mexican restaurants they brought out the mains whilst we were still eating the starters. This is really quite basic hospitality. They also got the order wrong in the restaurants too on several occasions as they did not listen to what was being ordered. Do not order the pizza either in the Italian restaurant (or anywhere else on site) as it is not a proper pizza. The base is a frozen supermarket type base that is more like a biscuit. I understand that they are restricted with regards to supplies but if you are offering pizzas in an Italian restaurant at least serve something that can pass off as a pizza. The buffet was also ok if you go once but after that it became less and less appealing to the extent that on one night we literally has some cheese and left as it was all either raw, bland or just unappealing. There was a clear lack of training with the staff and many could not speak English. However, on the whole I do not blame the staff and blame the management more as they should be addressing the basics and training their staff better. Many of the staff were fantastic and a special shout out to Hector in the bar opposite the Buffet restaurant who was a great barman and knew my order every evening after the first night. The staff in the pool bar in and the preferred club lounge were great friendly and worked their socks off and I must commend them. The drinks that they serviced in teh pool bar were all made with "local" spirits which did not taste like they had any alcohol in them if any. This was not the fault of the bar staff, they can only serve what they are given by management. The burgers served at the pool were also good and probably the best meals in the resort. They only have 1 beer on draft which probably suited the American pallet as it was about as good as their Bud light but nothing like European beers. The entertainment team were also extremely hardworking and their games were sometimes fun to watch. They only thing I would say was that the music was too loud at times and I would go to the preferred guest pool for some peace and quiet as if you are there all day it can feel like you are in "Benidorm' There are some simple fixes that management could do that would elevate this resort to its true potential. we stayed for 11 days and that was probably part of the problem. I would not recommend staying for longer than 5. If you go down rot the beach and turn left there are some gift shops which are all a rip off but there is also a guy in a red and white t shirt selling excursions who you can negotiate with. we did the buggy ride which I recommend.

Loved this place. Still Wish I was there.
Our recent stay at Dreams Macao Beach was a delightful experience overall. The resort's beauty is truly breathtaking, with stunning views and well-maintained grounds that made our stay feel like a tropical paradise. It was always a relief to see workers consistently checking the pools, cleaning the walkways with power washers, and always offering a lovely greeting as we walked to the pool or off for a quick bite to eat. We also really appreciated the security staff around the facility and at the beach. Their presence made us feel safe and secure throughout our stay, allowing us to fully relax and enjoy our vacation. The service was exceptional; the staff was always friendly, attentive, and eager to assist with any request. A special mention goes to the entertainment staff, who went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time with their engaging activities and vibrant performances. My daughters enjoyed every day, as they would look out at the pool and see if Latic, Teddy, Barbie, Babyface, LeBron, Ninja, Betty Boop, and Marmalade were walking around so they could go say Hello!! We absolutely loved them!! All of them seemed to be more like our family!! Baby Face was so much fun and went out of his way to help with my youngest daughter’s birthday and it made her entire WEEK. We loved interacting with them in the pool, at the shows, or any activity where we could go and have a good conversation. The food at the resort was another highlight of our stay. We were impressed by the variety and quality of the dishes offered. From fresh seafood to delicious local specialties, every meal was a culinary delight. The dining venues were beautifully designed, providing a perfect ambiance for enjoying our meals. A HUGE shout out to the Taco and Tequila night at El Patio, it was so good! We also enjoyed La Petite Chef, where my daughters said they could barely walk after all the food we enjoyed in our little private family dining experience. With all the good things we experienced, the check-in process was less than ideal. It took considerably longer than expected, which was a bit frustrating after a long journey. It was almost like one person dropping the ball and nothing was ever done about it, so the room took more than 2.5 hours. After the room wait, then the wait came for our bags, which took another 30 minutes. We hope the resort can streamline this process for future guests. Despite this long-endured hiccup, the preferred lounge staff offered us a complimentary beach canopy. We gladly accepted and had an amazing time, meeting some of the best service from Francesca and Willy Wonka!! We had Carlos as our butler, and he did a great job communicating with us to get a floating breakfast delivered and decorating the room for my daughters birthday!! (Thanks Carlos!!) Also, a huge shoutout to Nacho, Papa Chicken, Frank, and our lovely Rapunzel!! Thanks for making our trip so special!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend Dreams Macao, Punta Cana to anyone looking for a beautiful and relaxing getaway. Flowers family holiday
We had an amazing family holiday at this resort. Everything was on point, clean, friendly & fun. The rooms were lovely, only downside for us we were looking out to the construction site, but to be honest it wasn’t a problem just not a great view when looked to the right. The restaurants were good & the coco cafe was fab 24/7 service. The beach was beautiful, seaweed free. The pools were great, we enjoyed the preferred family & adult only, the attendants were very helpful & looked after us well. I highly recommend the spa, we had relaxing massages & then the hydrotherapy, it was amazing. My 7 granddaughter Ivy loved the kids club. The staff were brilliant, especially Moana, Rapunzel, & Candy. She had lots of fun. The entertainment team were fab, they put on great shows & really got you involved with dancing, games & activities. They made the holiday special, so big shout out to Ninja, Diamond, Teddy & Babyface. We have great memories ❤️
