  We travelled as a couple with no kids.

  We travelled as a couple (British), the resort is large & very family orientated. We spent time at the beach, main pool area & adult pool. In all cases there was no shortage of sunbeds at any time of the day, what is lacking is shade. There are no parasols, if you want a bed in the shaded areas you need to ‘put your towels out’ by 8.00am. As a couple we liked the adult pool, it has a swim up bar, it is a lot more spacious around the beds, (the main pool area the beds are rammed so close you can barely squeeze between them), unfortunately the compromise is the view, the adult pool is rooftop & alongside the construction site, but it still has a chilled vibe. With regards to food we found the buffet to have plenty of choice, well cooked & tasty. At breakfast there can be a queue to get seated as there are no alternatives to eat so everyone is in the same place. Evenings there is plenty of choice with various themed restaurants available. The room is very basic, but large & clean, there are no hot drink facilities in the room , just the fridge which is restocked daily with water & soft drinks. (We brought a kettle & teabags with us & there is a general shop across the road where we able to get milk). Evening entertainment is lacking, there is a cinema with kids movies, and a theatre with family shows for 1 hour each evening. We spent our time in the Adult only English Bar with sports tv, pool tables & card tables. This was tucked away so not very busy which was a shame as it lacked atmosphere as a result. All in all an excellent place if you have young children, as a couple it is okay but would probably choose somewhere smaller & more adult orientated in future.

  Great place to stay

  Jesus was great! The experience was great and friendly staff!! I loved the beach and the staff was excellent I loved the club on the 8th floor and I want to shout out Jerry on the 8th floor and I want to shoutout moises they were all great. Maria was great on the club floor too. I will definitely be back

  Not so brief review

  Family of 4 vacation kids (5 &3). Check-in was okay but took all the way to 3pm to get our room when we arrived at closer to noon. That's not a big deal but when we checked on the room around 2pm after having ate lunch and walked around, my wife was rebuffed very quickly that it wasn't 3pm yet so no our room wasn't ready. There is no text or update system apart from going up to ask so I'm not sure why the attitude for simply checking. Food: Breakfast was by far the best meal at the buffet. Fresh made Mexican breakfast station daily was great, ask for fresh Tortillas and cheese if you want them for your huevos rancheros, Breakfast tacos, etc. No other option for actual sit down Breakfast apart from room service was disappointing but was fine overall. Waiters take our initial drink order and check in when they can but otherwise standard buffet process. Lunch I unfortunately found to be very unsatisfactory. Only 1 of our 3 days was there a fresh Mexican food station (as there was at breakfast) at the buffet. The options available weren't that conducive for a lunch meal in hot weather, pizza is not worth it at all and the grill at the pool was mostly stale tasting. The French fries you can get fresh by asking the cook at the hamburger station but otherwise they're not out to get. Snacks - late night snack station was basically frozen hamburgers, hotdogs and quesadillas that they heat up for you on the grill. No fryer and no freshmade food or variations to the menu. Chips are available throughout the day but the nacho cheese wasn't for me, no guacamole (come on!), no fresh cojita cheese to top with or salsas. Dinner - Los gallos (2x) and the fisherman was where we ate. Both I found to be really tasty. The appetizers (tuna tostada, chili rellenos, salpicon and aquachili) were delicious. Soups were not for me overall. Entrees were very tasty, the al pastor was presented nicely, the salmon tasty, fajitas plentiful (asked for extra guac and cheese as this was the only place that offered both but only for this.meal) but the steak was not worth it. Rooms - we had the standard plus (bunk bed). Given a room on 1st foot which at first was disappointing as we were worried about a noose issue and lack of view but neither ultimately were a problem. Room was spacious enough for our family, clean, bathroom was nice/shower powerful and the balcony was great having a view of the pool and ocean. Cleanings daily were done nicely and an attendant comes by 1 or 2 times a day to restock your fridge with as much beer (Modelo) and bottled water that you want. Bars/Drinks - unfortunately I found this area of the resort to be lacking. For bars, there's basically only the lobby bar and the bar by the pool. The one inside the British pub/nightclub is EMPTY until at least 9-10pm so not a fun environment to have a drink. No swim up bar apart from the adults only pool (with little kids not an option) was known when booking but still was not fun having to get out of the pool everytime we needed a drink. Beach bar was completely closed our 3 days. Bar inside the pool table room area is just the other side of the lobby bar but you can't easily get served so it's easier to just walk around. Drinks made with house liquor unless you specify a bottle behind the bar. Tequila options for Mexico were also disappointing, especially no Mezcal in the whole resort. Pours are a little stingy as well. Kids menu was a blessing though, our daughter LOVED the Frozen Freeze and named it one of her favorite aspects of the trip. Pools/Amenities - main pool (infinity overlooking ocean) is a lot of fun, it's where everyone hangs out at and lots of activities occur at. Side pool near there is nice as well. Both had plenty of chairs everytime we needed one. Shade is a premium but we prefer seats in the sun anyway. For our family we hit the water park before noon when it wasn't crowded, ate lunch then migrated to the main pool with finding seats easy at that time. Miniature golf was laughable in the hole design, you can't really describe it without being there but for little ones who don't know any better it was fun. Kids water park was a lot of fun but parents aren't not allowed past the 1st water area and neither are kids under 4. I wish we had lied and said our son was 4 so he could enjoy that area with his sister but he enjoyed the pirate ship and slides a ton. They also do a lot of fun activities in that area for the kids, there was face painting, actual painting activities, banana split making, dances, games and more. Overall this is why we picked the resort and apart from the 3 vs. 4 year old thing it lived up to our expectations. It gets buggy at night is all so the night activities I had to step away due to mosquitos.

  18yrs of Crown Paradise membership

  stayed at Crown Paradise Cancun April 15-24 2025. been going to the hotel for 18yrs 1 week per yr. when I first arrived I was greeted by Mr Jesus lobby bellhop. he's a very friendly bellhop puts you in a great mode on arrival. needed to go to playa del carman Mr. Jesus set us up with a great cab driver that he helped negotiate a fare price. the restaurant's are no longer reservations, unless you are a member. me and my wife were able to get into majority of the places to eat. the waiters and waitress that served us were professional and had great attitudes Wayne's boot is a good steak place fare size steak portions good flavor went twice to this place our waiters were Oliver and Carlos 2great waiters if you get them. fishermen's was the next place food was good salmon is a good size Jose was our waiter he was great he recommended the salmon and Jose was spot on with the dish. La Pizza is the Italian restaurant which isn't a bad place was a little chilly for my wife. French restaurant was next and another Jose waiter he was great wanted to try and make our dinner the best experience he could its a nice quite place to eat if thats what you desire. breakfast we ate at the 8th floor club and Gerry and maria was our waiter and hes great. makes a awesome cappuccino and a beautiful view of the sea.La Palapa in the main area to eat went there for breakfast/supper waiters for breakfast was Rubicel,Merly both of these people awesome to see in the morning very energetic and running for you to have a good start to the day. La Palapa dinner we always looked for Hector section hes awesome cant say enough about this man. Lobby bar/collage is the only place you can go to see sports, Nately was the waitress and our drinks never go low while watching hockey playoffs she helped a lot with having a good time with the group who watched playoffs. pool bar is all roger serving up some great drinks for the hot days we had. Tiana was our maid she was great never once did she come to early was able to sleep in and not get disturbed. if you get a chance to find any of the people i mentioned do it they will make you fall in love with crown paradise and you'll be very luck to become a member of a great family . members can make dinner reservations and you can walk to the front of the line for your time. thanks to Yazmine, Nancy, Vicky, Carlos for having such a great team of employees. my family and i are blessed to be a member of my Mexico family

  Jesus is amazing!

  Exceptional bellboy service at checkin and during the entire stay by Jesus, ask for him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We had a large family group of over 20 and he took great care of us. Erick also helped Jesus and provided great service at checkout!!!!!!!!
