Terrible resort, stay for away!
Family of 6 (10-8-6-2) from BC Canada. Stayed here Jan/Feb 2026. We all became ill days 3-5. Sickness lasted 12-18 hours. From what I believe is bad sanitation practice. We saw numerous people vomit in common areas, workers would quickly put up a cone, and then disappear. They would come and mop, but really just spread the vomit into a larger area and then spray with a hose. The resort does need some TLC, as it is an older resort, but we know that when booking. It does look clean, but that’s about it. Pools are cold, we walked through the main pool on our first day and never returned. Kids club pool, our kids lasted 30 mins and came out shaking. The water slides were the same but we had a lot of fun on them. We spent our days at the beach, ocean was warmer than the pools. If you want a chair on the beach or by the pool, you need to be laying towels down by 0700 or you will not have a spot. Resort simply does not have enough chairs for the amount of people onsite. Beach bar closes at 17:00, pool bar closes at 18:00, even if there is a line. The just stop serving. Beach bar only has one bartender working, so very long lines. The food was ok at best. If you like to have hot food, and a selection you have to be first in line. They take a long time to replenish the empty trays. Often food is cold. They have no meat station where you can have steaks and chicken breast cooked to order. One day they had a taco stand. They were actually great. We could not get into any restaurants, you have to book right at 8 am, which I tried everyday, and never was able to get a table. I did hear the restaurants were much better than the buffet. We were often sat at tables which still had dirty dishes on the table. Staff would come and remove dishes, put down new cutlery and not wipe the table at all. Often cutlery was dirty. We brought wipes and would sanitize our table and cutlery before using. No coffee bar. They have a powder coffee machine which you can make coffees at, between 0800 and 17:00. Our room had a great layout, king bed upstairs and a bathroom, downstairs had a triple bunk bed and a double bed. extra bathroom downstairs, came in handy when we were so sick! Downstairs bathroom shower leaked through the wall onto the stairs, so we had to leave a towel on the stairs so the water wouldn’t run down. We will not be returning, even if it fits your budget, I would hold out until something else came up, no idea how this is classified as a 4 star resort.

Group Illness
We’re here as a group for my daughters wedding. The room cleaning service is excellent. However of the first 15 of us to arrive 11 of us have gotten ill in in some way or another. Two serious enough to call in the on site doctor, which by the way is expensive. Not a great way to celebrate. After I read reviews that this has been a common occurrence here this year so far

You will get sick
If you want to be sick for the week then it’s worth the money. Everyone we had talked to someone in there group or the whole group had got sick. The worst stomach flu we have ever had.

Family friendly resort
Beautiful beach, nice and clean rooms and delicious food. But service needs to improve a lot in buffet restaurant and housekeeping. The free wifi is very hard to get connected in room.
