- Hotel Cozumel & Resort is small, but the rooms are spacious, the beach gorgeous and diving made easy with a private pier for the excursion boats.
Things to Know
- Divers love this resort and are repeat guests because of the dive shop and private pier. If you don't dive, you'll love snorkeling around the natural reef offshore.

- Other Local AttractionsCozumel is rich in history and natural wonders. Popular destinations include ancient Mayan temples on the north side of the Island; the sanctuary to Ix- Chel -the fertility goddess- in San Gervasio and the Museum of the Island of Cozumel, with its colorful displays of underwater reefs and other Island treasures. At El Cedral, on the south side of the Island, the oldest Maya structure on Cozumel built in A.D. 800 can be found. Nearby a towering lighthouse at Punta Sur offers a 360-degree view of the Island.
Cozumel is habitat to many nature reserves: the Cozumel Marine Reef National Park, Chankanaab Park and Lagoon, and Punta Sur. Botanical gardens at Chankanaab Park display 350 different types of tropical plants from more than 20 countries. Another attraction is the dolphin aquarium, treating visitors to a close-encounter with playful dolphins. Punta Sur is a new eco-tourist park for visitors interested in learning about the Island's native flora and fauna. Encircling a region known as Colombia Lagoon, Punta Sur is a unique setting of mangrove jungles, white sandy beaches and reef formations. The Park's information center allows visitors to watch a 20-minute video and learn about different eco-systems, environment and native birds, turtles, alligators, fish and coral in the Park. At the information center, visitors can rent electric bikes to explore Punta Sur on their own.

Great for divers
Hotel is great if you are a diver, staff is friendly, pool is huge and strong drinks. Only issue is no wifi in rooms and no public areas had AC. Also the food is very hit or miss, I ate out most days. If you are here to dive this is the place to stay, great dive shop right across the street.

We always come back!
We are divers and we love staying here. I would have to say we weren’t happy with the WiFi at the resort in the rooms. It was very hard to connect and could not connect at all in the rooms. The entertainment is always great! Suny, Edgar, and Juanita are a lot of fun and have great personalities. The food was better this year than last. That is a plus. Dove Paradise is great! We had 10 amazing boat dives on the coquetta and we enjoyed them all! We will see you again next year!

If you’re a non diver don’t worry.
My daughter was there to dive but I was never alone. There is so much to do. Suny, Juanita and Edgar kept me busy. Everyday there were activities. I went to cooking lessons, water aerobics, water volleyball, bingo and more. If you are a non diver don’t worry. You can relax, swim, eat great food or make new friends doing activities. I can’t wait to return. Most friendly resort I have ever been too❤️

Beautiful resort, wonderful stay.
Stayed at Hotel Cozumel for our 34th aniversary. Beautiful resort with friendly staff. Nice and close to downtown for shopping. Food was good and the seaside area was excellent. Seaside pool allowed you to snorkel out in open water or swim in a small area protected from the surge. Then lay out under the palm trees. Resort also has a wonderful pool inside the resort. Largest on the island. Very well maintained and relaxing. Just wanted a relaxing stay away from the crowds.

Good Hotel for Scuba divers
Staff are attentive to your needs, rooms are clean. Good variety of food at the buffet. They provide locker for your scuba equipment located 20 feet from the the pier. Dive rental store close to pier and close to shore dive area. Our room was missing a dresser for our clothes, was told they are in process of getting new furniture, that is why we did not have one.
