Stay SomewhereBetter in San Juan
Condado Ocean Club has a few things going for it: the views, the pool, and the staff. I did not have a bad time but I would not stay here again. It's a small, boutique hotel in Condado. While there is not much in the immediate vicinity, a 10-minute walk can prove fruitful and Ubers are available within minutes. Staff is fantastic. From Andres at check-in to Alfredo (an absolute gem) and Juan (I think) on the pool deck, and everyone else we interacted with, the staff were amazing. So friendly and so helpful. We had an ocean view room and the view was perfect. The beds were OK, not great, and had I realized they were low (I need a high bed), I would not have stayed here. Cleanliness is majorly lacking. There were hairs (not ours) in the bathroom. While I never saw a bug, there was a dead bug on the bathroom door frame. Our room never should have passed inspection. The design, while aesthetically pleasing, is not great from a functional standpoint. The shower is walk-in but the handle is under the showerhead. Also, it's a glass half-door, so water was constantly spilling into the main part of the bathroom when we showered. We went through lots of towels because of that. I was excited because the towel rack looked like a warmer as well, but alas, it was not. The only two hooks were behind the bathroom door, as was the rack, so nothing could dry. Our sink did not have a drain cover, so it was hard to wash our clothes. There was one chair for the seating area. A Curio cabinet that hosted the minibar did not close properly and a picture was hung crooked. We did appreciate double luggage racks. However, Condado Ocean Club felt cheap, and I understand that at $350/night, you are only getting a basic hotel and the bare minimum, but I was hoping for a little better. The room was serviced once during our stay and that was a disappointment. No vacuum, no cleaning of the the bathroom/mirror, just trash removal, towel replacement, and beds made. We wanted new sheets and missed that we had to put the placard on the beds, so had to contact housekeeping to get new sheets. Elevators are small and the elevator floors were always dirty. The pool was great. It's an infinity pool overlooking the ocean so we loved it. It was clean (we witnessed morning vacuuming/cleaning of the pool, so that was good). Water was cool so it was refreshing. The food and drink we had from the pool deck were good. However, if you are considering a day pass, don't do it. The cabanas are not worth the price. The cushions/pillows are old and dirty. There was always hair and debris on the deck, even in the cabanas, plus it is super slippery. Ocean Club has very fun vibes. They have events at their restaurant next door, like a rum tasting, and supposedly, a DJ at the pool on weekends. And the staff is great. But I would not return.

Great location for the price
Great location, nice rooms, great views, fun pool vibe. For the price, you can't beat it. You won't have all of the extra amenities of the neighboring hotels (multiple pools, spa, multiple restaurants, etc) but if you actually want to go out and explore San Juan, you won't need it anyway.

Where Sophistication meets the Sea
From the moment I arrived at the Condado Ocean Club, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of sheer sophistication and coastal elegance. This is not merely a hotel—it is a sanctuary of modern luxury, where every detail is meticulously curated to cater to the most discerning traveler. The architecture is a masterful blend of sleek contemporary design and effortless Caribbean charm. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame panoramic ocean views so breathtaking they feel like living works of art. The interiors are adorned with refined, minimalist décor, punctuated by luxurious textures and a palette that mirrors the serene blues of the surrounding sea. The service is nothing short of exemplary. Each interaction with the staff felt genuinely personalized, as though they had anticipated my every desire before I could articulate it. There is a rare balance here between polished professionalism and warm, unpretentious hospitality—an alchemy that transforms good service into unforgettable service. The pool area is an oasis of tranquility, set against the endless horizon where sky and sea embrace. Plush loungers, impeccable cocktail service, and a soundtrack of gentle waves create an ambiance that encourages both indulgence and introspection. Dining at the property is an epicurean delight—culinary artistry that elevates local flavors into a gastronomic experience worthy of international acclaim. My suite was a private haven, an architectural symphony of comfort and style. The bed was a cloud of crisp, high-thread-count linens, the marble bathroom an opulent spa-like retreat, and the balcony a front-row seat to nature’s most captivating performance: the Caribbean sunset. Condado Ocean Club is the embodiment of refined leisure. It is where sophistication meets serenity, where luxury is not loudly proclaimed but quietly perfected. This is the kind of destination that lingers in your memory long after you’ve left, calling you back with the irresistible whisper of waves and the promise of perfection. A stay here is not just a getaway—it is an immersion into a lifestyle of elevated elegance. I cannot recommend it highly enough for anyone seeking the pinnacle of luxury and relaxation in Puerto Rico.
