  Great experience!

  Just back from 6 days at the resort (last week of October 2025). If you are looking for luxury service and amenities, this is not it. If you are looking for Mexican culture, art, jungle, etc., this is not it. But if you are looking for a great, new, safe, modern resort at this price point, 100% recommend. We had a great time. Rooms are HUGE, CLEAN, modern and comfortable, service is great, beach is really amazing. The property is small so everything is easy and quick to get to. We stayed in a privilege grand family suite deluxe which had 2 pocket doors to fully close off the bathroom for full privacy. And another pocket door between the 2 bedrooms. Perfect for us. We were in building 4 (probably the quietest building) which was at the chill pool. The other pool between buildings 1 & 2 was much more fun and loud with activities and music all day. The beach is stunning. Lots of shade - DO NOT WORRY! There are 3 beach bars (including a fresh juice bar), can walk for hours in both directions. I do wish there were guys there to help with finding / moving beach chairs and getting fresh towels for you. Drinks are really good and food is okay (it all looks great in photos but doesn’t taste amazing, but everything is fresh and nice). Staff are all very friendly and kind. Our only complaint was that there is only 1 towel hut near building 1. And they hardly ever had clean towels available. Every single day they ran out!! Much prefer when resorts have stacks of beach towels everywhere and you can take as many clean ones as you like as often as you want. Not sure what all the mosquito discussion was about? I don’t ever get bit but if there was a mosquito at this resort it would have found my son and taken a bite. We literally didn’t see a single bug. I would not hesitate to book here if you are looking for an all incisive resort. I would definitely come back at this price point. Take the negative reviews with a grain of salt - some people are never happy! If you’re considering it, you should definitely book here! I don’t usually like them, but if you are thinking about a swim up and have the extra $, these ones look like they are 10/10.

  Incredible

  What a trip. I can honestly say that this is the best resort I’ve been to. The staff, the atmosphere, the beach, the food, everything was perfect. I did find it a little bit difficult eating with a dairy allergy, but for the most part, I got by and was quite happy. The rooms are spectacular. Seeing the iguanas around the resort was so fun and I even found myself like a little kid, trying to find as many as I could. There were a number of hiccups on our arrival. This was a trip for my mom, dad and sister. It was the original four from our family and we left our husbands and children at home. We are all grown adult adults so we had two separate rooms. When we arrived, we received the wrong wristbands and our rooms had been switched around. Then the room that my sister and I were in had a lock that didn’t work. Also, the toilet didn’t work. We addressed these concerns with the front desk and they were figured out immediately. The prompt service leads me to not take any stars off of my service rating. It was during the playoffs for the Blue Jays and we even had the sports bar change all the channels to watch the Blue Jays game. A number of Canadians were there and the staff was very attentive and very happy to allow us to do that. The beach was absolutely beautiful. It’s a very short walk from the main pool. Fifth Avenue added a little extra flare that made you feel like you were no longer on a resort. It made me feel like I didn’t have to go on excursions or leave the resort just to get a break from all of the relaxation. Ha ha the shopping was just perfect And the restaurants were great. My favourite restaurant was the Japanese restaurant. The tapenyaki Grill was amazing and the chef was hilarious. The steak restaurant was also amazing. The only restaurant I was not happy with was the Mexican restaurant. I didn’t enjoy the food there and I found it really hard to eat with a dairy allergy and IBS The entertainment poolside was incredible. We loved the girls and the guys that did the dancing, the games, the bracelet making, and all the activities. The coffee shop is a huge bonus for someone like me who does not drink. I found myself wandering in there multiple times a day for a latte. I just wish they had dairy free options within their snack options. That was the only thing I really found missing. They did have dairy free and lactose free milk, which I was super impressed by. And it was not hard for me to find a decaf coffee at the end of the day. Also, all of the bars and restaurants had corona zero which allowed me to feel like I was fitting in with everyone else when they were having a glass of wine or a beer. All in all, I can honestly say that this was an amazing trip. I would go back again in a heartbeat, and in fact after I told my children and showed them pictures of the trip, they’ve convinced my husband that we should go back again at Easter. So, we are in the process of booking another week back at this hotel, and we are also so excited.

  On arrival, the mosquitoes were pretty bad so do you come prepared? We were not. 😱 however Gustavo at reception helped us enormously by having spray cream and antihistamines brought in from the local pharmacy and for that we can’t thank him enough. However, once we got over that we find the resort to be beautiful the beach to be stunning and we walk the beach every day. The staff were friendly the restaurants were good for us the standout restaurants for the Teppanyaki and the Italian Mamma Mia.. both of these restaurants had excellent service and fantastic food. However, or evenings were made extra special by Francisco and Maria at the bar. They welcomed us every night with a smile and an excellent service. We made lots of friends with Canadians and thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. If you’re looking for a beach resort that stunning with friendly staff, this is your place to be.

  Excellent

  Excellent hotel, food good. 5th Avenue is an added bonus with various restaurants serving a multitude of cuisines and shops. We did the trip to Chichen Itaz which is a must. Spent days lazing by the pool, and received excellent service from Linda, she is an asset to the hotel staff.
