  Hibachi

  Lorenzo and Guillermo, was our server and waiter and they did amazing. It was by far some of the best hibachi food I’ve ever had and it was the best meal I had on my trip.

  Hands of God

  Godly hands. I wear glasses and my vision got better. 100% come here they are incredible and will do you right. they even give discounts if you don’t have enough money. just come here and experience it yourself

  Catalonia Kids Club

  The Catalonia Kids Club hosteses really made our daughter's stay great. Paulina Ivonne, and Maricruz provided exceptional care and entertainment for the kids so much that she didn't want to leave.

  Relaxing family vacay

  Family vacay with two kids aged 11 & 14. Room location was great. (Room 4017). Requested room on the quiet pool which for us, was def the best choice. The family swim-up was fantastic! Medium sized resort. We think it's a great size - lots of restaurant options but not overwhelmingly big or hard to walk. Plenty of pool chairs while all are not shaded. If you leave belongings out to reserve spots, security will pick up your items. Beach is large with soft white sand and blue teal water. Some seaweed but not jelly-type so it's manageable and not off-putting. Restaurants - you do need reservations but in our experience, we were able to book for the week without any trouble getting a 6-6:30 pm time slot. Food was above average! Really best we have had for an all-inclusive. Really had a lot of fun at Ayami (make sure you book teppanyaki side). Mamma Mia was really good as well. We really liked the to-go options at lunch time on 5th avenue and the food trucks. The fish tacos at Pool B food truck were delicious. To-go made it really easy to continue to enjoy pool and beach. Drinks - sometimes the wait for cocktails was long but there is beach and pool service. The alcohol selection was nice. Privilege perks - came with our room category. Special section and faster seating at buffet. Access to a special beach bar which we really enjoyed. But there is another beach bar. Hydrotherapy for one hour in Alegria was ok. Nothing fantastic. Had privilege not come with our room, not sure worth the price. It did not include access to better reservations or an alcohol upgrade. *Make sure you pack your sunscreen. (One bottle of spray sunscreen was $23 USD in the shops).

  Good Deal, Chill Location

  I liked this place enough to come back 2 years in a row, first with just my partner and I and a 2nd time with a group of 9 friends total. PROS * Great deal price wise if you book online. * Not located in the main Cancún resort area so it’s chiller and less crowded. * Beach is not crowded and they clean it for seaweed every morning in the summer. * 2 big pools with enough space to spread our from other guests. * Food is mostly good with an abundance of choices, I especially liked the ceviche, pasta (seafood pasta), steakhouse and I love the abundance of fruit at the buffet and the snack bar. * Lobby staff was very helpful — the guys at guest services was very helpful with getting our large group reservations for 9 people and also the other lobby staff was helpful in suggesting things to do in the area like how to get to cenotes on our own outside of a tour. * The decor and rooms are nice and comfy. * Spa is excellent (even though it’s expensive). * The photography service is awesome and fun. We did it 2 years in a row and bought $400+ worth of photos each time and love the photos. * The children at the hotel are very well behaved and the other guests are chill. No trashy Americans or MTV spring break vibes. CONS * Teppanyaki and Asian food is not good here (naturally it’s Mexico, not a high Asian population there). * Pool is not cold enough and could be more refreshing. * Steak restaurant’s AC has been broken for a year. So while the food was good, it was real hot in there. * My WiFi was fine but my friend’s room’s WiFi was terrible. Other things to know: * Bring lots of $1 bills for tipping. They do have an ATM but a lot of times there’s an issue with it and it only spits out $20s. * Their tequila sucks and the drinks overall are very sweet and watered down, but that’s to be expected at an all-inclusive. * We had one vegan on the trip. There’s more vegetarian options than vegan options and she had enough to eat and not too many complaints, but I feel like they could have more choices. There’s Beyond Meat at one of the themed restaurants, but not at any other places and I felt like they could’ve incorporated that more. * Honestly if you’re here with close friends, your family or as a couple — you should try getting some of their professional photos on the beach. It’s well worth it — the photographers really direct you as well so you don’t have to worry about being awkward or camera shy. They charge per photo you buy and the more you buy the more you get discounted. We spent around $400 each both times and got canvas prints and photo books too with 40 digital photos. In the US, a professional photoshoot is $600-1000 so I consider this a good deal!
