A great time in Punta Cana

We had an amazing stay at Caribe Deluxe Princess. Traveling with my partner and baby, we found the setup to be perfect for a relaxing and stress-free vacation. Our room was ideally located close to both the pool and the beach, making everything super convenient. We had requested a baby crib before our arrival, and it was ready in our room when we checked in, which was a greatly appreciated. The food was excellent—the buffet was always fresh, offering plenty of variety, and the à la carte restaurants ensured we had enjoyable and diverse dining experiences every evening. The service was overall great, though we did have two instances where the reception wasn’t particularly helpful. That said, the servers truly made our stay memorable, especially Maite, who was incredibly sweet, attentive, and wonderful with our baby! The animation team was a bit pushy when encouraging guests to join activities, but they always respected our choice when we preferred to relax instead. The cleanliness of the hotel was outstanding—there was always someone cleaning, both indoors and outdoors, keeping the resort spotless. Our room was immaculate every time housekeeping had been through. While it might not be the absolute best resort and had its flaws, it still provided us with a great vacation. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, and I would definitely recommend!

Awesome all-inclusive resort in Punta Cana

The last 3 nights in Punta Cana I stayed here, just to relax and enjoy the all-inclusive service. From arrival on, at the reception to the lobby guys (piccolos) like Gregory and Omar who drive the resort train and take you to your room, I felt welcome and they offered good service. Also the other lobby guys when checking out, assisted me nicely and even helped me with a so-called pirata (pirate) who called me for my trip to Santo Domingo, telling me to go outside since he couldn't get into the resort. They warned me that he's a pirate, wanting to take advantage and he wouldn't call back again after he spoke on the phone with one of the lobby guys. Drivers from authorized transfer and touring companies, all can get inside the resort, so this driver is a pirate if he couldn't get into the resort. A good thing, the correct driver arrived to take me to Santo Domingo. For some reason this pirate got my itinerary information from somewhere, hoping that I would fall for it. Also good service in the restaurants, I only went to the 'Food Market' for the buffet meals and once to the Dominican restaurant 'El Pilon'. So only 2 from all the 6 restaurants as you had to make a reservation except for the Food Market, and the others were all booked when I wanted to go and managed to at least go to the Dominican one on the last night. Good service in both restaurants, I didn't catch all the names, my apologies to the waitresses for not recalling your name, but thank you for your wonderful service. And thank you Omar from the Food Market and Yendris from El Pilon. And on my last night at the El Pilon restaurant I tried the country's signature drink 'Mamajuana', a bit too strong for me. As I don't eat meat and diary, I can say I'm happy with the offer and variety of food at both restaurants. You have enough options as vegetarian and vegan at the Food Market. Aldo happy with the service at the different bars; Lobby Bar, Beachouse-Rooftop bar, Bar Teatro and other bars at swimming pools who all poured me my favorite drinks (virgin piñacolada and strawberry/pineapple mocktail). And my thanks to the lovely ladies at the spa and Shina at the photoshop. The only approvement I'd say is the entertainment, as it's not clear nor there's a visible program of all the activities that will take place daily, only the night show which could be more a show from the animators themself rather than the audience. All in all, I'm happy that I stayed there and planning to go there again this November to celebrate my birthday. This time I'll make sure that I have cash with me, since normally I do everything digitally and pay contactless, not carrying cash, I couldn't tip everyone that I wanted at the resort. In some countries, like Cayman Islands, the tip is included in the price of all services when you pay, and I hoped that was also the case in Dominican Republic. Maybe for those, like me who don't carry cash and pay contactless, they could put a machine/device or something at the door or at any point where you can just swipe your card to still give a tip which they can share amongst all employees on a monthly basis.

    Lots to say

We flew from Canada and this is our 6th time to DR and 1st at the Caribe Deluxe Princess. Right off the bat, there was alot of confusion when we arrived because the tropical princess and the caribe princess share a lobby. This isnt indicated on travel sites, rather show to be different resorts but are actually ore sections of one property. The room rates are quite a rip off, first you pay for ocean view and then on top of platinum view. We were there for both but with what we had already paid and what the cost was, we werent interested. After showing our disappointment, they offered a room which had an ocean view but was basically an attic room and 5 sets of stairs, with a toddler and no elevator. We quickly changed to a platinum room on the ground floor which was way better. PROs: Platinum lounge was fantastic. The restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner were absolutely delicious. The lobster dinner and the paella are delicious. Augustin and Cepin made our trip awesome. They went out of their way to make the entire trip so memorable and hospitable. The grounds are kept immaculate, beach is clean and seaweed free. We never had a hard time finding a lounger on the platinum side. The loungers are very comfortable and in good shape. We didnt have to worry about towel cards but there were two instances where they ran out of platinum towels for the entire day. The waves are strong so we didnt see as many people in the ocean as in the pools. The japanese restaurant was delicious. Definitely the best option out of the lot. The Mexican and Brazilian was decent. The buffet was horrible. It was repetitive, the options were not appetizing and the labelling was pretty much non existent. Vegetarians, vegans, and celiacs cant eat anything. The pools were really nice and refreshing. The main pool was always freezing but in the extreme heat was tolerable and very clean. The foam party was alot of fun. The kids pool and waterpark was a hit and area was well kept. The pool wasnt as clean and could always see leaves and such inside. The middle pool near the snack bar was always busy. Snack bar food is repetitive but much more delicious than the buffet. The spa was a great experience. The deep tissue massage was so relaxing and worth it. The spa pool is very nice and private, I had it to myself. I would suggest reserving it for a few hours if you want a private pool to swim and relax without kids or drunk adults. The layout of the resort is unique and the walk was lovely to see all the wildlife. There was a tram that went between the lobby and the main food areas throughout the day and evening, which was such a nice convenient feature. The coffee and ice cream shops were great. Cons: the stores are expensive!! $30+USD for vicks cough syrup. The rooms were not cleaned well, we would see the floor dirt colour on socks, clothes etc. regardless if you tip well, which we did everyday, the platinum toiletries dont come, the towels arent regularly changed and the room didnt have a crisp clean feel to it ever. Room service is THE WORST. When you order, it takes atleast 30 mins to make the order because noone seems to understands english, then the food doesnt come or they call back after 2-3 hours saying they dont have what you ordered and if they do send, its always wrong and much much later than when ordered. I had to feed my sick 3 yr old and it took 3 hrs to get banana, milk and some toast. Lastly, the entertainment is pretty much non existent. Theres no music or fun shows worth watching. No fun activities, bingo or anything. The kids club house seemed okay but we never saw an adult in there just a few kids watching a movie so we never left our kid there. Lots of room to improve. Our trip was enjoyable but we wont come here again. Definitely not a 5 star.

    Great Vacation, Great People

I have just returned back to the United States after another phenomenal vacation in the Dominican Republic. I have to say the staff throughout the whole resort really work to accommodate and make sure everything was perfect. A special shout out to the staff at the Beach House Restaurant and Bar. Jose De La Paz, Francisca and Audelina. The evening staff at the lobby bar. Yinett The evening music and relaxing environment is a great way to end athenday. And last but not least who can forget number two pool bar Wally, Wellington,

    PC Chill

Lovely resort with great staff! We especially loved the breakfast buffet with Maite. There were also many cool animals, especially iguanas on property. Good selection of ducks, flamingos, and peacocks on the grounds. Come for the iguanas , stay for Maite !
