  Best Wedding experience

  We did the wedding package and it was an amazing experience. Our wedding coordinator, Mitzy, was the BEST. She went above and beyond. We had bi-weekly video meetings which made the process very smooth. I was skeptical about the hair and makeup, but omg, they did an amazing job. The resort was beautiful and the food was good at every restaurant. We can’t wait to go back this year for our anniversary.

  Good location and atmosphere, but service and room maintenance need improvement

  We stayed at this hotel expecting a comfortable and well-managed experience, but several issues prevented it from fully meeting our expectations. On the positive side, the hotel has a pleasant atmosphere and a good location, and the overall property has potential. That said, room service was very slow, and we often had to call multiple times just to receive basic items such as water. Housekeeping was inconsistent ,the room was not thoroughly cleaned, and essential toiletries like shampoo and body wash were not restocked unless we repeatedly requested them. The room itself also had maintenance issues. The sliding balcony door was unstable and rattled loudly during strong winds, which significantly disrupted our sleep at night. In addition, the bathroom and sink lights only worked when the ceiling fan was turned on; if the fan was off, the lights would not work at all, which was inconvenient and should have been addressed. Overall, while the hotel has clear strengths, faster and more responsive service, more consistent housekeeping, and better attention to room maintenance would greatly improve the guest experience.

  No longer worth it.

  Some of the staff is rude now especially Victor in baggage services. We scheduled a 5:45am bag pickup for checkout. Victor arrived at 5:20, we informed him the time should be 5:45am & we will be ready by that time. Victor returned at 5:30am, we weren’t ready, so Victor told us to take our own bags then left. Also, our did not have hot water so we took Luke warm to cold showers. Also, Breathless now have guests reserve free hibachi on an app that fails to login and books up quick so they can get customers to upgrade a pay for premium hibachi. Small purchases at their gift/snack shop prices have tripled. I purchase Doritos, Gatorade & snickers costing me $40 USD. Spa prices are higher than normal so be prepared to spend a lot for a couples massage.

  December 2025 Visit

  Chose this hotel for two reasons- Proximity to CUN Airport and availability of a room with two beds. I had stayed at Secrets in CZM 16 months prior so I had a level of expectation what to expect. First the positives- Hotel is well layed out with Secrets to the South and Breathless to the North. It is two separate “resorts” in practice but easy to move about all three. Having no wristbands to determine what level anyone is is nice, but I like having them for key card access instead of an actual key. No dinner reservations is really a great deal, never really waited very long to get a table in a sit down restaurant. Hotel has Beautiful and well maintained grounds and Beaches, Unlike many resorts access to the plenty of bathrooms while at the beach, pool or generally moving about the resort. While in the pool or at the beach very easy for Bar Service either by walking up or having an attendant checking on you. It is “Winter” in Mexico and for us the pools were a bit cool especially if the sun wasn’t out in full strength, but it didn’t bother most. We had a swim up room and it was semi heated so that was nice at the end of the day. Less Positive topics There is a lack of Chairs at pools and beach, if you didn’t “reserve” a chair by 0900 or frankly sitting in it by 1000 you weren’t going to sit at pool or beach in a chair. The lack of more sit down evening bars, the one bar is great but it’s the only one and seating is limited to at bar or a few tables and the poor bartenders are just overwhelmed. I thought the Dinners were hit or miss- Being told there was a $50 upcharge for teppanyaki table per person took us by surprise, so we just had sit down service. I thought the Steak was ok but the Italian was very good. The hot water in the shower just not quite hot enough, likely since everyone was taking a shower at once. Water at beach- I spent lots of time considering this. There is a Mangrove drain to the N or the resort but I don’t think that’s the issue. I think the water is still recovering from Sargasum season which is why its hopelessly murky. Towards the N its clearer and you could get in, but past that I wouldn’t go in as you cant see the bottom (and no one else did either). Would I go back- absolutely but I would probably stay in the Secrets section vs the Xcellarate area for the calmer vibes.

  Good but could be better

  The hotel is simply obligated to immediately improve the condition of the beach and come up with a solution that allows couples to secure places by the pool or on the beach under umbrellas
