Nov 16, 2025Lovely stay at Bougainvillea
Lovely hotel: Had the wow factor as soon as the taxi pulled up. Reception staff were lovely. Check in was swift with a much appreciated rum punch on arrival. Bell boy helped with our cases to our room (215) Room was spacious. Large balcony with comfortable furniture and a sun lounger. Large comfortable bed with linen changed daily. Plenty of storage space. Good sized bathroom with towels changed daily. Handy kitchen area with hob, fridge, freezer kettle etc. housekeeping did a fabulous job daily. Room was always cleaned well. Restaurant onsite (Calabash) is literally on the beach. Good selection at breakfast with eggs cooked to order (the omelettes were fab!) lunchtime and evening meals were cooked to a very good standard. We loved everything we ate there. There were 2 or 3 friendly cats that appreciated any scraps. If you don’t like them you ignore them (they don’t pester you) we loved them and snuck them some treats quite often! The pools are lovely and well kept. The swim up bar was well stocked. The Bajan Blue cocktail was to die for! The beach is literally on your doorstep. Not always safe to swim in directly outside the hotel but just along the beach (near Sandals) there was always a yellow flag - so ok for swimming. The only thing we felt was missing was a couple of bars close by with easy access. Want to finish with a massive shout out to to Lizbeth and Cindy in Calabash and night time security man Troy. Thankyou ladies for being so warm and friendly. You are both a credit to Bougainvillea and thankyou Troy for taking time to stay and chat xx

We spent 9 nights at this hotel and can honestly say we have no complaints. The biggest assets of this hotel is, as others have stated, the staff. Every day we encountered smiling and helpful people from the front end to the onsite restaurant. They seem to take great pride in their jobs. Our room was perfect, slightly, and I stress, slightly, dated but more than we had hoped for. we would recommend a stay here and should we return to Barbados, will definitely plan a visit to Bouganvillea again! Thank you to all the staff!

Bougainvillea and Barbados has blown me away;
Wow, wow, wow! Perfect boutique hotel right on the beach. All staff were utterly amazing genuinely friendly warm people (not so much on reception, sorry). Junior suite was outstanding (20 paces to the beach and my absolute favorite white company toiletries) we wanted for nothing! Food was fresh and plentiful. We hired a car and travelled all around the island and knew we had picked the right place to stay on our first trip to Barbados, we will be back 100%. Excellent position in between Oistins and Lawrence Gap bit of a stroll but taxi's & ZR's easy

Beautiful 'boutique' size hotel right on a gorgeous white sand beach.
Lovely rooms with kitchenettes and large balconies. Fab showers with White Company toiletries. Gorgeous outside areas with flowers everywhere; children's pool and adults pool with swim up bar. Beach very private with sunbeds and shades. Restaurant next to the beach. All staff friendly, helpful and professional. Would highly recommend for families and couples / friends.

Wonderful staff
The staff in this hotel deserve so much credit for these fantastic reviews, from Roslyn on reception to Gale & Co in the Calabash restaurant, always smiling, nothing is too much trouble, they are a credit to the Bouganvillea hotel. The hotel is clean, and conveniently located, with a beautiful white sandy beach, with two pools to cool off. Barbados is an expensive place, but this hotel manages to remain competitive, whilst maintaining excellent standards. The people of Barbados are a credit to their nation, I’m well travelled, but have never met friendlier people.
