What We Love
- The beach is just steps away, plus the resort is very family friendly and it's not too big. It was perfect getting to know the staff well and other guests!
Things to Know
- With tons of free water activities to keep the everyone busy, a friendly vibe and a cozy atmosphere, the resort is a real deal.
Located on a 1,000-ft stretch of golden sand, the resorts redefines the word "beachfront." Relax by the beach or check out the freshwater pool and its swim-up bar. After you've worked up an appetite, two open-air restaurants draw you in: lobster specialties are a hit at The Oasis, and we hear conch fritters at Iggies Beach Bar and Grill are delicious. Iggies hosts lots of fun nightly entertainment, so be sure to check it out if you're up for some night time fun.
Whether you're hanging out at the beach or seeing the sights, there are tons of things to do during the day. Start a game of beach volleyball, or challenge the kids to paddleboat races. Try parasailing, or book a snorkel or scuba excursion to see the underwater world. Day trips are popular with St. John, St. Croix and the British Virgin Islands so close, but St. Thomas also has great appeal: Paradise Point has unforgettable views, the shoreline is beautiful from Magens Bay and kids love feeding stingrays at Coral World.
Since the resort is smaller and more intimate, all rooms are beachfront, so you can enjoy the Caribbean from the privacy of your balcony.
This hotel is NOT All-Inclusive. Food and drink must be purchased separately.
Unless otherwise specified, all services are available for an additional charge.
When the resort begins accepting guests this June, it will be a soft re-opening. During this time, The Oasis Restaurant and Bar will be open, poolside, along with the swim-up bar as well. Iggies Beach Bar & Grill is currently being renovated and will be open later this year. During this time, there is a small area around the structure on the beach that is cordoned off as work is being done. As a major hurricane affected the island a few months ago, there is still some work being done, but the hotel is making strides to come back better than ever.

We stayed in 3 rooms (3 couples) and each room had small showers with mildewy shower curtains in the bathroom, rust rimmed toilets and musty sheets. The beach is pebbly so bring water shoes. This is a privately owned, operated and run place so expected limited and slow service. They will look out for their pocketbook before they look out for their customers. Sole proprietor was definitely more concerned about his own welfare before his workers or customers.
Stayed for 4 nights with all inclusive package. Food and beverage were great. They had different dinner special each night. Pool is small and the beach is a little rocky with no surf. Rooms were clean but not modern. Staff on site is excellent and very helpful. Enjoyed and would love to return.
Belongo Bay is a family run small boutique hotel. The hotel is footsteps away from the sand. The beds are extremely comfortable. I would recommend this hotel for young professionals like myself. With beach amenities plentiful and the sunset Cruise was a joy to witness.
How much time do you spend in your room anyway?
So the rooms are dated. Just get that out of the way. If you are looking for a luxurious bed and up to date bathroom this is not the place for you. However the rooms were clean and the views from the balcony were amazing. Now if you are looking for fun, great service with a smile and good food and drinks, then this is the spot for you. I traveled with a large work group and everyone had a great time. Breakfast was satisfying, we were not there for lunch, but dinners were good and great portions. I had the burger and the Mahi and both were excellent. Salads were good too! We did not take advantage of all the amenities because we took day trips but there was plenty to do on the resort as well. At night the bar was lively with music and drinks flowing! I would go back again! Few suggestions: I would ask for extra blankets when you get there though. Only 1 sheet on the bed and it got chilly. Also, confirm tipping and how the all inclusive works when you check in. Some people had questions about charges when we checked out. Bring a reusable bottle or buy bottled water off site. They charge $2 for a small bottle of water but have a large container of cold water you can use to fill water bottles. Have fun!
Hotel is comfortable and clean and you can’t beat the all inclusive. The “Sunday Funday” boating was recommended to us by our new friend Keith who went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. He kept us laughing the entire time. Kim our waitress most evenings was friendly and pleasant and made sure we had what we needed. James and Deanna on our boat tour did an excellent job as well.
