Average
Staff was excellent. Hotel itself showing its age. Definitely in need of a facelift. Food at the buffets was average. The fruit was fresh and fresh made desserts. The seafood ALA carte was inedible. The steakhouse wasn't much better. The Mexican was mediocre. The Italian was very good and the French one by far the best of them all. Our room was clean, but shower had constant smell of sewer gas. Out "Garden view" was actually overlooking the swamp out back. If it's not a Garden view then don't call it that. We spent most of our time at the smaller pool to avoid the noise of the big pool. The pool area could have easily had 3 times the number of loungers. They had 1 small sign saying you couldn't reserve them, but was not enforced. More than once we observed loungers with towels on them but we're never used during the entire day. Beach area had a couple of trees with no umbrellas anywhere. So we didn't spend a lot of time there because of this.

Exceptional 5-Star Service from Abraham López!
Outstanding service from Abraham López at the Mexican restaurant! His attention to detail and kindness were on par with a 5-star hotel experience. By far, the best service we’ve received at Blue Bay. He was thoughtful, attentive, and made our dinner unforgettable. We absolutely loved it!

Good help
The service was very good. Kevin and Jonathan were very helpful. Excited to experience the Italian a la carte.. we have had good service with Kevin and Jonathan.. Today was a pool day. The bar service is very good. Could use more chairs on the whole resort.

Tania at reception was awesome
We had a few issues while at your hotel - there was DEFINITELY NOT enough lounging chairs…we go to relax, not fight for a chair near a pool or beach - there is NOT enough golf carts We were in #6 building, my husband could not walk well but there was very seldom a cart for a ride and when it came it was usually full - also In Our building the elevator did not work -the receptionist Tania was AMAZING, she helped in many ways and made our stay much better You should hire more people like her - the food was GREAT! No complaints at all in that dept PLEASE FIX THE LOUNGER SITUATION….or we will NEVER be back! There are way too many other resorts to choose from!
