I visiting this hotel since I was a child's with my family, People are great, great services, Great staff specially greetings to entertainment team Diomedez Soriano (Mosquito) entertainment Assistant, excellent work from him and his team, From restaurant, housekeeping and the rest of the departments.

Marien beach resort is a solid 4 star, not great , just good enough. I liked Iberostar Costa Dorada much better for the food and accommodation . Had a real issue with a doctor in a resort , that didn’t assist at all when I had a bad food poisoning from the resort, insisted I had to go to the local hospital by ambulance . At the hospital after IV I felt better and wanted to go back to the resort but was told by medical administrator there that I they will keep me there till my insurance pays or I have to pay with credit card 2300 us$ for 3 hours being in the hospital . For IV and blood test. Ridiculous . I had to be on the phone with my travel insurance for 2 days instead of enjoying my vacation . Thank G-d my insurance was quick to pay the hospital . Horrible experience . No more Dominican for me They just treat you like a dollar $ not a person

Daycation
My husband and I spent the day at this resort since our cruise ship was docked most of the day. The food and drinks were all included with the price. The pool was nice, but the beach was not kept clean and there were not many lounge chairs available. Everyone seemed nice. Overall, it was a good value.

Do not go here. There are cats everywhere in the restaurants. No wifi in rooms. Room floors are dirty. No elevator. Stale bread given out and food at buffet is left out for hours. Meat is suspect. Overall, the food is the worst food i’ve ever had.
