My husband and I had a wonderful experience in Puerto Plata, DR for the first time. We were there for one week for our wedding anniversary trip. We decided to select Marien Puerto Plata Hotel and Resort (as recommended through Air Transat Airlines). A nice, small family-friendly with many amenities, food, activities, etc. to choose from. Everything was close by to/from our room. The staff showed excellent service from the time we arrived. The Bell Boys and Reception areas were very helpful and explained all the important details about their policies. We liked how the Bell Boy thoroughly went over some things in our room like storage spaces, thermostat, etc. Took care of our luggage very well. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. Very good sense of humour indeed.

Carribean Bliss
Our experience was amazing!!!!! The staff was super attentive and helpful. The facilities were clean and accessible. We are definitely coming back sooner than later.... Thanks Georgie boy.

Entertainment was the best!
The check in process was quick but not very friendly, the front desk is the face of the Hotel and the first impression of your vacation, thank God for the rest of the employees, the bartenders (Johan, John Elkin, Agapito, the breakfast crew) the entertainment crew (Hello Kitty, Mosquito, BomBom, Roberto) and our sweet cleaning lady Maritza made the rest of our stay better!

Time away from work.
Great hotel and I love the service. Food and drinks were great. Misko was great and very entertaining. I would recommend this place to everyone. I will be back.

Returning for Christmas
We loved it! We were there with friends (Spring 2024) and will be returning for Christmas this year. We are hoping to get our room again and we did have the VIP service and it was great. Wish there was a way to email them so I could get our room again. We have to be on the ground floor or the building with an elevator. I cannot do stairs...
