    Great experience overall

    My husband and I had an amazing time at this resort. It's tucked away in beautiful Mismaloya and really gives you the nature feel of Puerto Vallarta. The service was great overall and Moses was the best!! His service made the trip very enjoyable, we were very impressed by him!

    Barcelo only okay

    I have stayed at Barcelo resorts two times before this and loved the facility, service, and food. This Barcelo was okay but the food was not great, little variety, lots of the same items every night. Hotel staff did not speak fluent English so was hard to express needs at front desk. Did not get the VIP access I was supposed to for my stay. Room maintenance needs attention, fan blades on ceiling fan almost fell off and we had to hand tighten the blades ourselves, black mold in bathroom shower needs attention. Beach is not flat and hardly anyone used it, except the locals who had access to it with their dogs and vendors. That was disappointing.

    Premium lounge

    Server named Cesar Lopez, was absolutely incredible in the premium lounge, very happy, constantly checking in making sure we were all good. Really appreciated his service.

    We are disappointed with that place

    Everything was good until we checked out and realized after an hour that we had left winter coat in the closet in room 1407 .We called right away and after multiple phone calls and emails we never got the coat back and were told nobody went to the room after we left which is crazy as housekeeping was already at the door when we were leaving the resort .Very frustrating-never happened to us at other places and even if we left something in the room staff would mail it to us .It took staff a few days to even investigate what had happened….I never received an email back from them ….Will never go back .we were going back to chicago to freezing weather with no jacket ….We will never go back to this resort !!!!

    Excellent Service from Armando

    Great service from Armando and delicious food at Capri Italian Restaurant. He also served us in other restaurants in the resort and was always attentive, friendly and helpful.
