Jan 20, 2026Another beautiful stay at the Palace
My husband and I have stayed here 4 times with our group of 18 friends over the years and we have always enjoyed our stay! This time we were fortunate enough to go with our daughter, son in law and our two grandsons. It was beautiful to watch the excitement of the kids as they explored and experienced this beautiful resort and all it has to offer. All the à la cart restaurants in the Barceló Palace are top notch and we felt fortunate to experience six à la carts during our ten night stay. Front desk staff, are welcoming and have a good sense of humor. The rooms are comfortable and functional, housekeepers are wonderful and do a great job everyday. The gardeners work extremely hard on the grounds (keeping all the plants ,flowers and grass) beautifully kept. It was funny watching the clean up crew on the beach, the poor manager had to get on them for not doing anything. I have found over the last three years that a lot of guest are not cleaning up after themselves, like plastic cups wrappers even kids sand toys abandoned on the beach and in the water. It’s a beautiful beach with amazing turtles and snorkeling, so I hope guest at this place pick up after themselves. The pool is huge and wonderful fun activities! Pool bar staff are not overly friendly unfortunately.; especially in the morning when you go down at 7 am for a coffee and a beach walk. They just don’t seem too happy to be there. I try to learn some new Spanish phrases to say to them and then they will sometimes engage with me but not always. The buffet restaurants in the palace are fantastic (Always!) with wonderful server’s , chefs and cooks and cleaning crew! This resort won’t disappoint Big shout out to this lovely young man who we were lucky enough to see again this year! Managers take note , he is very special to your team. He is a gentleman, well spoken and engaging. Top notch *****

Beautiful beach, great food
Beautiful beaches with a lagoon that you snorkel directly from , lots of colorful fish and sea turtles. Excellent food, including for my vegan wife. Only complaint is about the communications about the nightly entertainment. There is no proactive notification of any night-time entertainment. Even a visit to the concierge resulted in confusion, so we missed out on some of that. One minor downside: the place is a bit of a hike from the Cancun airport- about an 1.25 hrs, but it was tolerable.

Absolutely a must to stay!!! 5++++*
I cannot say enough about this resort, I mean the al a carts are unbelievable !! 5++* And the staff are so warm and friendly you feel like you never want to leave. Roger in the French restaurant is so attentive to every need. Nayamin in the lounge is so great! Gabriel at the Mexican buffet is so sweet and they work so hard. Honestly the food is the best I've ever had at any resort. I cant wait to come back, I've never said about any other resort. We spent 2 weeks and never left the resort as there is so much to do and see here. Felt so safe and we will absolutely be returning, in fact already planning it!!

Relaxing Trip
First time to the palace wish the maps were better Will be back for sure recommend taking the bus to other hotel areas on the property
