Jul 11, 2025Barcelo Maya Palace is the Best!
7 days of paradise! Amenities and staff were amazing! We had a group of 19, so everyone was able to do something they enjoyed! Some were kind of bummed with all the seaweed at the beach, but the hotel staff cleared spots out on the sand daily. All 3 restaurants requiring reservations are highly recommended. Buffets and grill also amazing! Look for Manuel Gonzalez and Enrique, by the pool bar…they were both amazing!

The service I received during check-in was extremely disappointing, and the issues I encountered were neither resolved promptly nor handled effectively. Staff appeared uninformed and disorganized, and even after the supervisor and manager became involved, the situation remained unsatisfactory. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend staying here, as it is clear that management prioritizes upcharging guests over delivering quality service. The manager on duty, Isaenn Garcia, refused to take any responsibility and instead placed the entire blame on me.

Stay at Barceló Maya Palace.
We love this place so much that decided to bring our family for my 80th birthday party and never regretted by making this decision. We definitely be back next year. Bravo Palace.

Restaurant reservations are not available all the time - we had to eat at the buffet 2 out of 5 nights. Buffets’ quality not the greatest. French restaurant was the best!
