    Take me back

I don’t have any other words than, this hotel is absolutely awesome. Let me explain every single detail of my experience in Barceló. First of all, I want to start with a very important thing to consider in staying in a hotel, the service. Absolutely everyone that works in here is so kind and smiley, all the waitresses, hostesses, chefs, the front desk people, the maids and the animation crew are just amazing people that takes customer service seriously. Shoutout to Iris, Marlon and Fabiola, who are really good at organizing fun activities and games for everyone, since bingo and “guess the song of the movie” to Karaoke nights and aqua fitness classes. Iris was so kind and beautiful to us, that in my brothers birthday, she gift him a little stuffy and sing “Happy Birthday” in front of everyone. I just wanna say what a fun time we had with them. They made our trip even better. Now, talking about the food... well, what can I say, it was just amazing! And the system they are doing because of the pandemic is so productive. To go inside a restaurant and grab food, you gotta wear a mask. But here’s the good thing tho, the buffet still same like you already know it, the only difference is that there’s someone serving you what you want so nobody can touch the spoons and pinzas. There’s bars along the restaurant with plates already served and ready-to-eat, and you just take the ones that you want. When you’re at your table you can talk and eat (obviously) without your mask. On the other hand, there’s 3 restaurants. The first one, Brasserie, which is the French styled restaurant, is just so good... every single plate is just delicious, from the appetizers to the desserts. I highly recommend the “Ravioli alle pistache” as an appetizer. Then, the “fresh grilled salmon” is so good for a entree if you’re not that of a glutton. If you want to try a good combination, the “surf’n’stuff” it’s great for meat lovers, with lobster and a piece of beef. For a sweet ending, the “surprise chocolate box” is great for choco lovers and children as well. The next restaurant, Caribeño, is a seafood place that has awesome plates as well! I highly recommend the “Shrimp pineapple base cocktail” as a good and soft appetizer. Then for the entree you can’t loose the opportunity to try the grilled lobster, a fancy dinner for a fancy hotel. To end a great dinner, the strawberries in orange juice, the cheesecake and the red velvet cake are absolutely delicious. I want to give special thanks to this restaurant’s crew, to the Chef Martin, the barman Ramon, our waitresses Nelson, Miguel, Marcelo, Marco, Erik, Victor, Fernando, Ubel and Yusely, for all the attention and the great service they gave us. The last restaurant, Rodizio, was not as good as the other two though. The meat was so overcooked and the service was not as good. So, if you want to try here, I recommend you in to leave it to the end. The rest of the hotel is just perfection, the pool is so clean and huge! The beach is beautiful. This part of the Riviera Maya is special cause all the fauna you can find, so there’s lots of fish species, little cute crabs around and beautiful lizards. You’ll find a lot of sea shells as well. There’s free water activities in the sea like kayaking or snorkeling. You can borrow a catamaran and sail away with your family to discover all the reef around. The rooms are big and tidy, with awesome views from anywhere you are. There’s souvenir stores in the hotel, so you don’t have to go out to get fun stuff to take home, and the good things is that they have really good prices. There’s a company that does photography around the hotel, with great photographers and they also do fun videos for you to keep the good memories! Finally, you can walk down to the dolphin park, which has a beautiful dolphin show at 10:30 in the morning. It is perfect for start your day with a great attitude. It was such a pleasure to have stayed in this hotel. I had a really good time and experience, and no doubt I will come back. The food, the service, the people and the fun things to do made me feel relaxed and calm in my vacations. I really enjoyed my time here and if you’re looking for a family hotel, in a beautiful beach, away from everything and with a high expectation to chill for an affordable price, this is the greatest option.
