This was a family vacation for my adult children and myself. They are 22 and 19. We enjoyed snorkeling on the beach, my kids did the catamaran and loved it! We also did the Xplor Fuego

Overall Excellent Resort
Even though we were sick (from before we landed) we had a great stay and the staff and grounds were amazing. There was quite a bit of sargassum on the last two days as the wind shifted, but staff were working hard to lessen the impact.

I loved the pool space and quality of drinks at this resort! The staff was amazing. Johnny with the activities staff was super fun and Leonardo with the bar staff was amazing and welcoming! The food was the major downside of this trip. The italian restaurant and lunch and dinner buffets in particular were not enjoyable. I am gluten free and found that the staff at the sit down restaurants were overall well informed, but the substitution options weren't amazing. The buffet was hard to navigate being gluten free and I was disappointed that room service did not offer gluten free options. I was also surprised that room service was not included. I probably would not come back here, but the staff and facilities were great!

Georgina arrives at her workplace in the Palace 40 minúte late. Whitout a single world of apology. I 've been to Barcelo Maya in 15 times. I won't be coming in Barcelo next vacation. The reason is people like Georgina.

Not the best all-inclusive resort
There was very limited food variety in the buffet, and the reception didn't provide information on the types of restaurants available, how to access them, or how to reserve. I was walking around trying to find the room because no map or information was provided. The rooms were clean, and housekeeping was good. I was there for my friend's wedding, and the food served was not the best or tastiest. I would say it's not worth the money.
