Oct 29, 2025Pool temperatureEverything was great. The only downside was the temperature of the pool. Absolutely freezing. I’m a pool person and you couldn’t even enjoy it.

Oct 26, 2025Beautiful ResortBe prepared to walk - a lot! The property is large but never seemed over crowded. The pools are huge and beautiful, you don't run into people. There are plenty of lounge chairs at both the beach and poolside. Finding a nice spot was never a problem. The play area for the kids is so nice and fun. The rooms are clean and spacious. The buffets and specialty restaurants are great! The attached Maya Plaza and Mall are fantastic! You seriously don't need to leave the resort (unless you're going on a tour). There is so much to do to keep the whole family entertained. My only complaint is how expensive a taxi is if you want to go to 5th avenue in Playa Del Carmen. The resort is about 20 minutes away from town and a taxi ride for up to 4 people is $35 US dollars EACH WAY. If you have more than 4 the price jumps to $70 US dollars each way. And side note - sunscreen at the hotel is VERY expensive, along with any type of over-the-counter medication. I saw bottles of sunscreen for as much as $50 US dollars and as cheap as $24. We bought a bottle of caladryl serum for bug bites and a pack of gum. It cost $38 US dollars.
