Oct 17, 2026more features and accomodations needed when you have closed half of the resort
Only 2 out of the 4 resorts were open; the other 2 were closed for maintenance, so you'd expect accommodations to compensate, however nothing was added. quite a bad start when checking in and hearing that! and then only being given 4 restaurant coupons when we were staying for 6 nights was a bit of a shock. and booking the restaurants was very pre-2000s.. you'd expect by 2026 that it is automated online, and not needing to come into an office to book something.

Great service
I came to the go karts here at Barcelo maya colonial and the workers Magally, Rigoberto, and Nayeli where very helpful and friendly they answered all our questions. We had a lot of fun me and my family. Recommend a lot to come here. Go carts infront of the Barcelo maya colonial.

Best resort for vacation
Best resort for vacation in Cancun with lots of pools, best beach views, friendly staff, lots of restaurants and shopping options.

2nd Time Here and We Loved It!!
This is our second time staying at the Colonial and it was great! The rooms, pool etc are cleaning and well maintained. The staff is extremely friendly. The whole place is very kid friendly, we have a 2.5 year old. We did a boat ride with our soon, we took family photos through the hotel. Just all around another great trip!
