It would have been nice to been notified that there was a music rav going on in the adults only side. There were such a huge number of people, loud thumping music-could even hear it while snorkeling-the buffets were so full we were turned away from the manager and told to go to another buffet in the resort. There were drunk people walking around at night after the music finally stopped banging on doors. In the morning there was puke on the stairs and glass shattered on the ground. It ruined 3 of our 6 days we were there. Very disappointed.

We are here now and I wish I wasnt. Got sick with diarrhea and vomiting, and we haven't left their property, so we definitely got it from their food. Now on a random Thursday night we have to hear VERY loud live music until 1130pm. Horrendous vacation. Why is there live music this loud and not at any of their performance areas? I didnt come here to party, I came to relax. No where on their website did they warn of this bs. This is my 4th stay with Barcelo and I previously recommended it but this will be my last time here. I will also be doing the opposite of recommending it. Also just an FYI in case the person reading this still risks booking here, this was my first time booking directly from their website. Dont. Its cheaper with the other package websites which include the fees up front.

Lack of Communication to get extra money out of you upon check out
horrible experience overall. they dont tell you you need to check out and get your band personally taken off you by staff or else you're charged and outrageous fee!

Scammed
WARNING: They do not return your full hold when you check out, and even the front desk manager says they keep a portion of every customers "hold" because that is "their hotel policy". I lost $300, despite no room charges, no damage, no missing towels. They should call it a "keep" instead of a "hold".

I went to the Barceló for the Super Bowl of Meditation retreats aka Joe Dispenza 10 day AFU. It was the greatest experience of my life . I witnessed healings upon healings, transformations upon transformations, greatness is in the air. When I was attending my conference I was playing in the pool with the entertainment staff; Lala, Estrella aka The 🌟, the beautiful Mariana, Roberto Juanito , my older brother Jesus, and last but not Least the Great Joseph of many color Robes. The entertainment staff did a tremendous job bringing the heat to water aerobics, water polo , water bingo, Zumba, and many other very fun events. The entertainment staff did a great job bringing Thanksgiving to me with their awesome parade The bartenders did a amazing job led by the stunning Fernanda and many others The dinners were excellent at the Tokyo and Italian restaurants led by excellent management , hosts, and wait staff . Both places treated me like royalty making feel right at home. The jewelers took very good care of me supplying me with one of a kind jewelry and giving me a fair price The trip was amazing. Can’t wait to get back
