The hotel was family friendly, lots of kids having fun. The staff was helpful and gym and other activities everyday were also lively -- including 4th of july celebrations. Its also located close to near by shops/stores you can walk to (if you choose to).

Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos – Family Trip with a 1-Year-Old (Just Okay)
We stayed for 3 nights/4 days at Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos with our 1-year-old son and wife. Due to a mistake on my part (three separate room reservations), we had to pay an extra $100/day to upgrade to an ocean view room just to stay in the same room all three nights. The room itself was nice with a great view, but if I could do it over again, I’d prefer a ground-floor room for easier access—especially with a stroller, since one elevator was out of service the first two days and we were on the 6th floor. Food & Drinks: Food was mediocre overall. The buffet was okay but inconsistent—some days had good variety like sushi, others had slim options. The coffee shop was the worst—watered-down drinks regardless of how many espresso shots were added. The smoothie bar was great, but it closes at 11 AM. Steakhouse was actually good (thin but tasty ribeye), and the food truck area had excellent quesadillas. Fries were a challenge—only the poolside grill had them fresh. Alcoholic drinks were clearly watered down at most locations; best drinks were at the lobby bar and specialty restaurants. Kids & Family Amenities: We appreciated the kids’ pool and small water play area, though we wish it were bigger and had more shade—same for the main pool. The beach was beautiful, but unswimmable due to strong currents (as expected). There is a kids’ club, but it's really geared for ages 4 and up. “Family time” was only 1–2 hours/day, and it was hot inside. Kid-friendly entertainment was okay but limited—we caught a kids’ karaoke night and some activities during the day but wished for more variety. Service: Service was inconsistent. At check-in, we were brought to an executive lounge with refreshments, which was a nice touch. But overall, the staff didn’t seem as warm or proactive compared to our previous stay at Hyatt Ziva Cancun. We mentioned it was our son’s birthday during check-in and dinner, but there was no acknowledgment—except a surprise champagne bottle delivered the next day, which seemed out of place for a 1-year-old’s birthday and lacked any note or context. Housekeeping Issues: One major frustration was housekeeping. Despite multiple requests (in person and by phone) to clean our room after my son’s nap, no one showed up until after 8 PM. I had to call several times, and only after some pushback did they acknowledge no one had cleaned the room earlier. This really put a damper on our experience. Final Thoughts: At $650 per night, I expected much more, especially since our stay at Hyatt Ziva Cancun was far superior. There’s potential here—the property is nice, and the food truck and poolside options were solid—but the lack of kid-focused activities, inconsistent service, and basic operational issues made this feel like a step down. Families with toddlers may want to look elsewhere or wait for improvements.

Top Notch All Inclusive Resort
This resort is top notch. Being on the beach was great and the large pools were perfect, since the ocean is a bit rough on that side of Cabo. You could still dip your feet in the ocean but swimming was reserved for the pools. The staff are all super nice and helpful and the food was good with lots of variety. Our one bedroom suite was perfect with two bathrooms and a jacuzzi on the balcony which also had a view of the ocean.

Great resort, staff and food!
My family consisted of eight members, three of these were adult teens. My swim up room was a favorite gathering place until about noon when we ventured to one of the other fabulous pools. Once in one of the adult pools, we seldom got out because the bar staff was always available to bring our favorite concoction with or without alcohol! We loved the seafood restaurant the best for breakfast and dinner. The pizza at the Italian restaurant was also very good. We had access to the club and spent several evenings there playing pool and card games while enjoying the food and drinks. Most importantly, we wish to commend Trinidad, our personal butler! He went above and beyond what would normally be expected to provide an exceptional vacation experience. I was celebrating a birthday and he made sure I was treated special with treats and balloons the entire trip. His smile, kindness and attention to detail makes him a valuable employee and would hope we can enjoy his services when we vacation there again!
