  Excellent food and service at Barcelo Bavaro Beach Adult Only

  Amazing staff, food and drinks. We asked to move to a upper room which they accommodated us without hesitation. Guest services very friendly and accommodating.

  Naturally beautiful, Management Needed

  I went for a week to relax, and thanks to the beach I did manage to get some of that much-needed rest. The beach itself is truly beautiful. However, the food was quite disappointing, both at the buffets and even at the paid restaurants. On the other hand, the staff was outstanding — beautiful people with warm smiles, always kind, helpful, and attentive. Unfortunately, hygiene in the rooms was poor, and the same applied to the beach areas. I would love to go back because I truly love the beach and the setting, but the experience would greatly benefit from better management and attention to cleanliness in order to make it more comfortable.

  Not a four star property

  If you’re expecting a “four star”, you will be very disappointed in the quality of your room (particularly bathrooms). Tired is bring generous. Rooms are at best low three star standards. That said, there are positives: friendly and attentive staff, great large pool, decent beach, solid tennis courts, and solidly ok food.

  Wouldn't hesitate to stay at this resort again.

  This all inclusive resort is an all complete resort. Although the resort is an older resort, it is well maintained and very clean. Myself and 3 senior male golf friends had a great 5 rounds of golf, at the Pete Dye designed, resort golf course. The course was absolutely fabulous and very friendly to play. The only criticism we had was they need to purchase more power carts, as we had to wait, for other golfers to finish, to get a power cart. Pace of play was good, considering the wait for power carts.

  Couples golf vacation

  Check in was quick and efficient. Although the room was a little outdated, everything worked and more importantly, was absolutely spotless. We mainly ate at the buffets as the choices were plentiful and tasty. The dishes at the 3 restaurants we tried were not exceptional, but they were good. I would suggest booking the restaurants asap or you won't get in, that's why we only had three reservations. I can't say enough of the great service from all the departments including check in, bell hops, cleaners, entertainers and wait staff. They are hard workers and always look after your needs with a smile. The golf was good, but sometimes was slow. Overall, we all had a great experience and would definitely recommend it our friends and families. Oh, we are coming back next year.
