Precious and most memmorable visit!
What a fantastic resort! This place is worth every penny you spend. I stayed there with my mother stayed there for 3 nights and had most delighful stay. Impressed with incredible and genuinely warm staff, impecable service, great food and drinks in the most unique atmosphere on a trully Paradise island. Everyone we met during thia short stay left a mark and we certainly will come back. A very big thabk you to Alan, Betty, Kaysey and Maria at the breakfast and restaurant, to Carmen (Melissa) and Yoyan at La Molienda and everyone else I did not mention. What a magical place. And if you stay in the room with ocean view you will never want to leave!

Tropical island paradise.
We visited this resort twice, prior to the new owners taking over a couple of yrs ago. I knew the resort had a real tropical feel to it - much more than most hotels, but the facilities and lounges, bars etc were all getting very old and dated. The new owners have invested many millions of dollars in renovating all of the facilities and the resort is definitely a 5* hotel. The decor throughout the resort is very impressive. They kept the old colonial vibe with rattan chairs and couches everywhere. The individual rooms are quite large, beautifully decorated and most have a view of the ocean. The services are excellent. The food was very impressive with a large variety of dishes. The food was always tastefully presented on flatware that I'm glad I did not have to pay for. Entertainment is very limited. If you are looking for an evening nightclub atmosphere, this is not the place. There is some music, and other events but the resort is very quiet. Note - all the roads are paved with uni-blocks/bricks which my wife tells me is not conducive to walking in high heals. There is an excellent shuttle service with golf carts that can transport you your resto or back to your room. Language was an issue at times but everyone just laughs and you end up figuring out what you want to say. There are several resto staff that speak good English and if sign language does not work, you can ask them for help. In summary the hotel is beautiful, unique (an island) with great food and perfect for a relaxing vacation. On the downside the trip from the Samaná airport is depressing. Filth and garbage strewn all along the road. If that upsets you, get on the shuttle bus, open a book, and don't look out the window for 60 min. Other than that, you will be very impressed.

Beautiful quiet hotel
Such a beautiful property, I really like how while being a big hotel it always feels calm, there are so many places to relax across the property. The decor is very nice and elegant. Rooms are big and comfortable, the plunge pool is way to small tho, wouldn’t call it a plunge pool. Food and beverages are very good, it doesn’t feel like an all inclusive hotel. The amount of staff per guest ratio is very good, everyone is very kind but the problem is that some of the staff are nit efficient, having to ask for a cup of coffee 5 times? Waiting 40 mins between the first course and the main dish? Sometimes it feels like the staff gets overwhelmed with simple things. Getting your order right at breakfast… almost impossible! But it’s a beautiful hotel. If you are patient you will get an amazing experience. The wellness center is great, the sound healing flotation experience was my favorite. Massages… if you can, skip them, definitely the weakest thing of the hotel.

An Absolutely Perfect Week In Paradise
We had the most incredible stay from start to finish! Everyone we interacted with or simply walked by on the staff was kind, attentive, present, and warm. It was such a welcoming atmosphere and the amenities and spaces were all meticulously cared for, immaculately clean, and impeccably designed. The housekeeping team did a wonderful job and we were always pleasantly surprised by the care and attention to detail every night when we returned to our room. Every meal was fresh and delicious and the wait staff were lovely. We loved that there were so many healthy options on the menus at each restaurant, along with many tasty indulgences! We also took advantage of the many fitness and yoga classes, the sound healing, and the spa. Each of these offerings was equally wonderful. Only the spa was an additional fee and we didn't mind paying for the great massages as a special treat for my birthday. The beach, the pools, and every restaurant was beautiful and we loved morning coffees from Carmen at the coffee shop! The thoughtful touches that made the trip so seamless really took the experience over the top. From the pickup at the airport, to ambassadors who helped us with every question and request, to special curated experiences like a local rum tasting, we never had to worry about a thing and truly got to maximize our time and enjoyment of the resort. We've already told several friends about this place and plan to stay again in the future - it was paradise!

Paradise-you will not regret it. Book the trip!
Cayo Levantado exceeded every expectation and truly delivered a perfect getaway. From the moment we arrived on the island, the attention to detail, warmth from the staff, and the breathtaking beauty made it feel like a true slice of paradise. The resort is immaculate — beautifully designed spaces, lush tropical landscaping, and beaches that feel both luxurious and intimate. Our room was spotless, peaceful, and so thoughtfully appointed. Every meal we had was delicious, with plenty of variety and some standout dining experiences. The chefs will make you anything you want! They always try to accommodate your needs and to make sure you leave feeling satisfied. I went on vacation to rest and relax. I toook advantage of the free yoga and mediation classes (so amazing); the full service gym which you can pretty much do any of your home workouts in (hands down best hotel gym I’ve ever been to and shout out to Juan who always made me feel welcome) and spent the majority of time relaxing on the beach bed reading. While there are shuttles to take you anywhere you want to go we walked everywhere and had no problem reaching our 10k steps a day (or more!). What really sets Cayo Levantado apart is the service. Every single staff member we encountered went out of their way to make our stay feel special. You can tell they care deeply about creating an exceptional experience. We left feeling relaxed, cared for, and genuinely sad to go. If you’re looking for a resort that blends beauty, calm, and five-star service on a private island, this is it. Cayo Levantado was perfect, and we can’t wait to return.
